  • These are my first impressions of Bogotá! Come to Bogotá with me and explore the city! I went in the cable car to go to the top of Monserrate where there were some BEAUTIFUL views! I stayed at hostel Macondo which was honestly amazing, it was so clean, had the comfiest bed I’ve ever found in a hostel and has SUPER FAST WIFI! Perfect for online teachers/vloggers like myself! This is part 1 of my 72 hours in Bogotá, make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss part 2!

I love that you could cook in the hostel. Is that normal?

Yes, a lot of hostels have kitchens! People tend to use them more in expensive countries though and not as often in the cheaper countries as it’s just as cheap to eat out 😊

    Visit Medellin🇨🇴
🎉On March 17, TIME magazine included Medellin among the 50 best destinations in the world in 2023.
And in January THE NEW YORK TIMES also included Medellin among the 50 best destinations in the world in 2023.
❤Medellin is the #1 city in quality of life in the country, it has already surpassed Cartagena in international tourists and is, according to Dane, the city with the lowest unemployment in the country in 2023.

Thanks for the video. Going to Bogota in 8 days to start a 6 month journey. Couple of questions for you sorry if they sound silly. What was the name of the sim you got I couldn't really hear. The silly question how did you get from the Airport to the city? Also any other tips you have would be appreciated safety how much cash to have on you etc. Thanks 😊

Oh that’s exciting! I hope you have a great time! The SIM card was called tigo. I took a taxi from the airport but they will try to over charge you so check what rome2rio/Uber says and tell them you want that price or you’ll just take an Uber. And they’ll probably agree on that price. As for cash I forgot to get any out before getting to Colombia. Use the cash machine in the airport instead of the cash exchange shops as you’ll get a much better rate and there’s no atm fee. The atms in Colombia, if they’re free I found that they only let you get a maximum of 300,000 pesos. It’s not a problem and can last you a few days, just keep in mind that you might have to get cash out fairly regularly. I think there are ones that you can get more from but I didn’t see any of those and I thing you also get a charge. Have fun on your trip!☺️
