Action Bronson is an inspiration. I started listening to his music in 2012, sophomore year of high school. Back then I was big at 215 but I started wrestling and lost some weight. Eventually wrestled at 170. Broke my ankle on my 17th birthday and it was all downhill from there. 7 years later I was at 278 and decided it was time to make a change. That was last year February 2020. I was disciplined for a month and lost 10 pounds, until Covid hit. I pretty much took quarantine as an excuse to give up, completely my fault. I've now ballooned up to 315. Seeing what Bronson did with his quarantine is a true inspiration. I tried getting back into some light workouts yesterday, and apparently they weren't light enough because I can't move my arms. It's going to be a long road but it must be done.

Was 380 after the pandemic. Stepped on a scale and realized I needed to change my life. Picked the hardest job I could think of in this Arizona heat and started may 15th. I used to say about Action.... When he finds the pursuit of health, he's going to be good at that too. Glad we're going to have him for longer. Cool dude.
I know he’s 100% real but i always feel like Action is in character to an extent when watching him on tv and whatnot. It’s refreshing seeing him having an open ended conversation and not just serving up 1 liners.
The is the example joe talks about when he mentions ppl take responsibility and loose weight and get healthy. He is THE example joe preaches when it comes to health
i got up to 381, a month later im down today 366. got a ways to go, but cutting out all soda (went to the movies with family, they got snacks and sodas, i got a big bottle of water) going to the gym every day for an hour. high blood pressure and high cholestrol.
When Joe talks about being overweight I’ve never heard him consider the brain chemistry changes that have to happen when you change your diet. He always seems to gravitate towards only the physical changes needed to lose weight which is only half the battle I would assume.
@@jaketoffen2454 5'10", I don't have a huge frame either, not a big guy, not jacked. No special diets, just quit drinking alcohol, started riding my bike(not even regularly), stopped drinking soda, stopped eating processed sugar in general, stopped eating fast food regularly, increased fruit and vegetable intake, and stopped smoking pot(that was big, no more munchies). Also went off antidepressants, well all prescription medicine, I think the combo of antidepressants, weed and alcohol were lowering my testosterone a lot. When I quit those things I started growing more chest hair and armpit hair, basically hair everywhere. I also work 60 hour weeks at a manual labor job now, so every day is like getting exercise just from working. The bottom line is there's no real easy solution to weight loss except a lot of self discipline.
@@killboi207 bro, its the physical labor. 🤣 You coulda not done all that stuff and just picked up the 60 hr a week physical labor job. Also, I would advise people to stay ON antidepressants if you need them. If you work...you gain more testosterone. In fact...you dont even have to work out, really. You coulda just upped testosterone with suppliments.
it's almost strange when you see former fat actors still around, for example John Goodman would be dead if he didn't lose that weight. No doubt about it.
I'd been slowly losing weight for years but kind of stalled out around 240 about 5 years ago, then gained a little back. I lost over 40 pounds during the pandemic and got below 200 pounds for the first time since high school (I'm 38).
my dad took me to an Action Bronson concert in the Blues House in Houston about 5 years and since then he's been a daily play since, a 11 y/o boy listening to a fucking legend opened my eyes to rap that day
Holly hell it's been a while since I watched him in a youtube video, and when I did he was going out indulging on all the delicacies human could consume. Good for him and what he did to shed 130lbs should kindle the fire in a lot of people around him

My wife is 10 years older than I am. Couldn't walk him with regularity.
Mordecai gained 12 pounds.
I feel like I have killed my Dog.
Putting him on a Diet, he can find food anywhere, anytime.
The key is not letting it happen in the first place.
Your story touch me, thanks.

@@christophersleight19 Thanks for sharing! It’s hard for dogs to lose weight, but can happen. Good luck. Napoleon definitely ate a good bit of grass and random things while we cut back on his food.
the wide angles showing both joe and the guest, is a great touch.
He’s an amazing dude. I’m happy he’s healthier cause we get to have him around longer. Good on ya, Action!
This man inspired me to get on my shit and lose 50 pounds. I am forever grateful, I am forever inspired.
This and the Freddie Gibbs podcast are the only JRE episodes I’ve seen on Spotify.
i wish the full episode was on UA-cam, i have Spotify but i miss the comment section.
Yep, the comment section is what’s wrong with the Spotify JRE. Always read while listening.
Jre belongs on the Tube
@Bon Dpaoe go self promote somewhere else
Bronson seems like the most genuine dude
Was 380 after the pandemic. Stepped on a scale and realized I needed to change my life. Picked the hardest job I could think of in this Arizona heat and started may 15th. (A gym isn't really a possibility for me so I figured a hard working job could do the trick.) so far down 30 pounds in 2 months. Trust me when I say I could've lost more but when I go too ham on the diet the cramps are vicious. But this video inspired me☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽
Much respect to Action Bronson 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 keep grinding

When he said “you don’t wanta be here for us?” That shit hit. Like damn.
I always knew he was gonna start working out. He gave off that energy to me.
its crazy how much better this new studio is
Was just watching his tour of the world on hulu. Then found this on youtube. Proud of ya fraction bronson.
I used to say about Action....
When he finds the pursuit of health, he's going to be good at that too.
Glad we're going to have him for longer. Cool dude.
Action Jackson
I know he’s 100% real but i always feel like Action is in character to an extent when watching him on tv and whatnot. It’s refreshing seeing him having an open ended conversation and not just serving up 1 liners.
The is the example joe talks about when he mentions ppl take responsibility and loose weight and get healthy. He is THE example joe preaches when it comes to health
Lose*
Action just lost weight lol
i got up to 381, a month later im down today 366. got a ways to go, but cutting out all soda (went to the movies with family, they got snacks and sodas, i got a big bottle of water) going to the gym every day for an hour. high blood pressure and high cholestrol.
An inspirational guy on multiple levels. Hope he continues to rise and inspire.
happy 420 Action n Joe
When a rapper says "they wouldn't let my dog on the plane" it takes a few more seconds of context before you know what he's talking about.
What's he talking about?
actual dog
@@brentcullipher6061 dog as in dog not dog as in friend.
@@brentcullipher6061 "my dawg" as in my friend vs "my dog" as in my animal

When Joe talks about being overweight I’ve never heard him consider the brain chemistry changes that have to happen when you change your diet. He always seems to gravitate towards only the physical changes needed to lose weight which is only half the battle I would assume.
people who haven't gone through just don't know.
Much respect Action. You are the king. Mad props to turning your life around. I’m looking forward to listening to this entire interview.
Been following on Instagram watching the progress. Heart of a Lion, fo sho!! Bronsons my guy!
I lost 76 in 6 years. Used to be 230, just hit 154. I stopped drinking alcohol. Stopped eating so much. It's really that simple.
good shit
How tall are you? I was walking around 230 but got down to a jacked 200lbs. I wouldn't want to go 154 thats pretty low. How did you do it ? Keto ?
I hear you can breathe easier if you lose that much weight.
@@killboi207 bro, its the physical labor. 🤣
You coulda not done all that stuff and just picked up the 60 hr a week physical labor job.
Also, I would advise people to stay ON antidepressants if you need them.
If you work...you gain more testosterone.
In fact...you dont even have to work out, really. You coulda just upped testosterone with suppliments.
so happy and so proud for bronson. funniest dude ever now he getting fit too let’s go bro
"Bow"
Wise comment general Kenobi
it's almost strange when you see former fat actors still around, for example John Goodman would be dead if he didn't lose that weight. No doubt about it.
this profile 🤣
Kenobi.... KENOBIIIIII
He looks amazing, I’m glad it hasn’t affected his food show either. Really happy for him, glad he’s happy and healthy, he’s awesome.
Good for him! He looks great, I wouldn’t have known it was him if not for the title. Congrats bro! And I’m feeling Joe’s new background.
The fact that he's still going hard on the weights, hanging with big Boi from lift cartel and chito Vera is super dope. 👌
Action is one of a kind. amazing cook, amazing rapper and amazing human.
This was a proper old school JRE vibes episode.
I'd been slowly losing weight for years but kind of stalled out around 240 about 5 years ago, then gained a little back. I lost over 40 pounds during the pandemic and got below 200 pounds for the first time since high school (I'm 38).
dope to see that we can get more Bronson music for years. love this dude.
my dad took me to an Action Bronson concert in the Blues House in Houston about 5 years and since then he's been a daily play since, a 11 y/o boy listening to a fucking legend opened my eyes to rap that day
Holly hell it's been a while since I watched him in a youtube video, and when I did he was going out indulging on all the delicacies human could consume.
Good for him and what he did to shed 130lbs should kindle the fire in a lot of people around him
I've been waiting years for a podcast with Action and Joe, I wanted a convo about aliens so bad🤣
@@lukedukes ok
@@lukedukes okay good for you I guess
What kind of life are you living? You could have educated yourself instead of waiting for years on a conversation about aliens. Are you serious? There are no aliens (only in your head.)
Brunsons wife is a true friend and companion. She was truthful and brutally honest with him. Sometimes tell people what they need to hear is important
Respect to action and everyone in the comments telling their stories too. Respect to you all. Couldn’t be prouder. Keep on trucking ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻
Nice Clip Joe and I am happy for Action & New Setup. However, I am sorry but I won't be catching up on any new episode anywhere. I am glad you made money, I am happy for you, maybe someday you will come back to UA-cam. You know your fans are here.
Damn 130? Good for him he looks good! So glad I can turn on my tv and watch rogan again....still though, screw spotify, but it is what it is.
Good for Bronson though, he's good people glad he's getting healthier.
You can tell he’s a good guy
its on youtube
@@dbz_feats7723 yeah man. I got put on a little late...been a fan for 9 ...maybe 10 yrs....but outside of the music, his show, F*ck that's delicious, you really got a look at him as a person. A genuinely nice compassionate funny guy. And always got the sense he never got a big head over his fame, always kept it 100. Gonna watch this episode in n hr or so soon as I get my trees illegally delivered. Kinda stoked, content everywhere is so depressing anymore, I'm looking forward to this show....need something positive in my life right now.
Its his fault for being so damn fat and unhealthy always remember that. Most people CHOOSE their lifestyles. No hate here I do congratulate him on actually making a difference in his health and life though.
@@aditya5162 full episode? Honestly I hate youtube more than spotify these days. I'd it were on Rokfin I'd watch it there over both without a thought.
Lost 130 pounds WHILE making gains. Props
that's the way to do it, especially with women
Not hard to do if you already got the weight
ua-cam.com/video/kw3WMyNgTAk/v-deo.html
Losing fat and building muscle is a lot easier than people think. All this cutting and bullking is for the birds.
@Perko Sherry no it’s called doing the right exercises and eating relatively healthy. You can lose fat lifting weights. You can have a cardio workout with weights too.
" he's like Joey diaz but jacked " 😂😂😂 Tremendous workout !
Listened to this podcast on Spotify and no chance in hell did I expect bronson to look so different than the first pod , fair fucking play to you lad motivates me massively listening to this whole pod
Congrartz Action!!! Damn bro, so happy to see you taking the health seriously. We need your energy on this earth bruh bruh.... stay up!
I first heard Action Bronson back when he did Bird On A Wire with Riff Raff. I didn't think his weight was an issue i just thought well he used to be a chef so he likes to eat.... but props to him for changing for his family 👏👏👏
Man, I'm 38 and I have a 4 year old and 2 year old twins.. I'm 5'9 and weigh 325lbs and my family has a history of cancer and diabetes.. Im a bull and lift and work my ass off everyday, but lately as I've been feeling and seeing the signs of my health and I've been thinking about my children and my own mortality.. I know I need to change myself for them because I wanna live till all three are at least over 21..
You got this. Motivation - check. Work ethic - check. Now you just need the plan, and the drive to stick to the plan. You got this.
Don’t give up I am 430lb and I know it’s gonna take time so go slow my g !!! No salt No sugars !!!
I went from around 230 down to around 190 and I’m still pushing for more... I’m doing one meal a day with little to no carbs and working out in the mornings with weight lifting and finishing off with Cardio. I try to get 2 workouts in some days if I can
You have to watch what you eat and you absolutely have to do the cardio... just do it, it sucks and it hurts and you’re gunna want to quit all the time but you have to just do it
I went from barely being able to run a mile to running 2 to 3 miles at a time on the treadmill at a 7 to 8 mph pace because I was just so stubborn about it and I make sure that I get a solid lift done before I run
I have a 2 year old too and I want to be healthy for him and my wife too and that just has to stay in your mind
You can do it but it’s gunna be hard and it’s gunna suck the only thing that can make it happen is your 🧠
@@attatawil Cardio is great but it's not completely necessary. At least not to the point that it might make you give up losing weight all together. The most important thing is just make sure you're eating at a calorie deficit and you will lose weight. I lost a heap of weight by cutting calories to 1800 a day and weight training 3 days a week.
@@Tom44224 I have heard that before and it may be true for some people but in my own experience I would lose a pound or 2 here and there but when I started getting serious with the cardio I started seeing pounds fall off week after week and stay off. IDK it worked for me and whenever I stop doing cardio and just diet and weight train the momentum just kinda levels off
Lost 77 lbs myself .
225 down to 148 and feeling great
Hey man Im inspired by this podcast
Ive lost 265lbs of excess fat so far.
I have been on my journey since 2008 since my NDE when an AORTIC ANEURYSM began tearing at 452lbs.
over the next 5 yrs theres been wins, losses, and eventually success. It started with raw veganism, excercise, and now jogging/running.
I love the way I feel and look now,
although I did keep the beard💯
