Watching this episode brought me back childhood memories of traveling to Queens from New Jersey to go see my cousin who lived over by Astoria Boulevard in East Elmhurst.
This show fills the void that was left since Bourdain unfortunately left us. I love watching someone I can relate to enjoying new food and flavors while getting to know the people making it. The Paris episodes are awesome!
Just moved from California to Jackson Heights a few weeks ago what a great look at the local flavor. Jackson Heights has some of the best food.
Little Colombia, they use to call it, now it's more diverse, it's a great area, low crime, great food and drinking spots all along Roosevelt Ave., 37th Ave. and Northern Blvd.

I grew up in flushing ( 1960’s - 70’s) it was glorious until they built that housing project on northern blvd and Main Street. We all had to move to bayside. Now it’s boba joints and massage parlors with a happy endings and populated with people who come from low trust societies. I saw Joe Namath play at shea. I live in Los Angeles now. It’s like Detroit with better weather…I don’t have a choice, I’m an elevator mechanic. Nice video brother, especially the pizza and the Neptune.

Action Bronson is right about member support jazz radio. In Toronto we get Jazz FM 91.1, particular after midnight, and early morning hours. You have to head to the 6ix for culinary delight. Sleeper foodie city, imo.

The first 3 spots, I would see daily, I grew up there, right on the borders of Woodside, Jackson Heights and Elmhurst. That Nepalese spot in Little India was right across the street from the subway station, after work I would pick up a 1lb of chicken wings and a chai tea for the walk home. The Peruvian/Chinese spot is one of the best spots for rotisserie chicken in Queens, with the magical green sauce, haven't tried the Thai place yet, I will when I get back. Queens is the most diverse place on the planet and that area there was the heart of it.
