Big Jim Hamil was one of the best lead singers in Gospel music. He was the lead singer for the Stamps Quartet,the Inspirations, and later the Kingsmen Quartet. Bro. Jim went to Heaven in 2007 after a prosperous career spanning several decades in Gospel music.
Did not know Hamill sang with the Stamps or Inspirations. He sang in earlier years with the Oak Ridge Quartet, Rebels, and the Senators (Memphis) before joining the Kingsmen. Probably with others, but I for sure don't know his full history.

Jim Hamill was a very great singer, all around funny person and one wonderful Christian. I was so grateful I met him when I was a young man. I know he is with other members of the Kingsmen who have gone on ahead, I bet he is giving Anthony a fit....LOL

I was at this Homecoming in Atlanta. A lot of these dear Saints of God have gone on to Glory now.
I loved singing this in church when i was young. I thank God for my childhood church and leaders.
