- Heavy rain makes me change some plans, I have to adjust a little bit my route. The good thing is: I discover the capital of chocolate, San Vicente de Chucurí. A more than beautiful off-road track lined by cocoa trees leads me to Zapatoca.

I remember 35 years ago Zapatoca didn't have any hotels, and to get a lunch you had to ask someone in the morning to prepare something!
That also happens to me. Some villages I passed by like 10 years ago, you could get nothing to eat and today you can choose between restaurants. Funny feeling! Colombia is changing a lot!

Yes, you are so right, I have been told the amazing story of Lengerke who is German like me and quite famous over here. I have done the camino real 2 years ago, but this time I was a bit in a hurry. But it is so worth going to Guane!!!

Hola! Me gusta viajar en la AKT 200TTR porque prefiero andar en las trochas y esa moto se presta mucho para eso: no pesa demasiado, unos siempre se siente seguro en ella, esa moto perdona mucho, un cambio mal hecho y no pasa nada...😉 ademas consigo los repuestos en toda Colombia y hasta en los pueblos mas alejados de todo hay alguien quien la sabe reparar. Y cuando voy con grupos de turistas es mejor una moto que no tenga demasiado fuerza para evitar accidentes...
La primera vez que te veo y pues que te digo..... Ne gusto mucho la verdad

Yes, I know that "Xocol Atl"-mexican history quite well, everybody does I guess, it is not a secret....been there often enough. But I didn't say the Colombians invented chocolate, I just said I drove through their "capital de chocolate", meaning that this is where many cocoa trees are. That's it. When I drive through Napa Valley I might call it "wine country" because there are many grapes and they produce wine - but they didn't invent the making of wine there....🤷♀
