17:18 this moment right here sums up why I love this channel so much. Just two amazing people who have never shied away from soaking in different aspects of a culture that isn't theirs. The tongue-in-cheek comment from Dave about mzungus was hilarious. 😂
Said scarf is coincidentally a popular Kenyan item popularly known as 'Maasai Blanket'. Lots of Kenyan households love it in the home or car for various reasons like bed sheet, table cloth, sofa sheet etc and also very popular for road trips to cold places. The FACT that Mrs. Mani gravitated to it naturally means that she is definitely 100% one of us! -- Plus y'all know the foods, and ate the ugali right. And because of that you are definitely changing the world 🙂Kudos!
No no no, that was our point, we normally get Maasai blankets but this camp had actual scarf. Just very narrow pieces of Maasai Blanket doubled with fleece.
Every time you say "this is our last safari" or "this is our last trip" that makes me feel very sad that I won't be seeing you more in Kenya but I hope to see you on your new adventure soon. I wish you guys a best of Luck and God bless!
Hi there❤ Commenting aftwr long time. Great video, loved your expedition. ❤ Great to see you both. You have really taken your videos on another level. I would say that you have gone ahaed of Kara and Nate. Thanks for such videoa.❤
Your bg music is something else. I've lost count of the times I've listened to minute 3:50. Like the build up to the crescendo enhanced by the "wheels going round and round shot" and then shot of the hot air balloons flickering and "aaabah!" Eeeish! Perfect shot, perfect music. Love it... or I just love South African beats, I don't know 🙈😂😂
Amazing! Love the safari videos the most haha. Since you guys moved out of Kenya id reccomend other African countries like Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia/Zimbabwe to!
Thanks for the great video! I will be there end of this month and am putting my packing list together. Did you bring insect repellent or is it not necessary because of the Mara's high altitude?
please don't say last, please, please don't say last. i am working towards getting my degree in mass communication. I'm a fan from Kenya of both you ( Dave ) and Tracey ,and once i have attained all the necessary certifications to get the opportunity, in the future i could really love to work with both you and your channel, even if Tracey needed assistance i would do it (if we're going full swing here..but i honestly would). i started a you tube account on the account I'm using right now but couldn't keep it running for one reason or the other and I'd be open to sharing that with you, however this is a passion..working with you, would be a dream, so please don't say last trip to the Mara or safari..(Dave, please come back for chapatis in Kenya, lollll) keeping a positive mind, we will see you soon in Kenya! Safe travels!
Hard to say as they are completely different. One is a hotel and one is a safari camp. And I can tell you that the Mara location is MUCH more expensive as well.
To be honest, I always recommend low season, outside of the great migration as there will be waaaaay lest trucks in the park which makes for a better experience. In high season, it is frequent to see lions with over 50 trucks around which is awful... Plus, low season is cheaper and believe it or not, the animals don't know about low and high season there are there year around haha.
Question: What tent is best to stay in during the stay - closer to the clubhouse or further away. Also, do you recommend the regular tent with hot tub or presidential tent with hot tub as well as plung pool?
I like a bit further away from the main lodge personally for noise and for the tent, I haven't seen the presidential one but if you can afford it, I'm sure it's spectacular.
@@DaveMani wish I could afford it, but my stay will be mostly on points. The only difference with the presidential tent is the plung pool. Thanks for the great content and good luck on your evolving journey!
Dave just to make us Kenyans always feel like the first borns of your channel, never forget to mention us every now and the on your channel 😂😂. Even if the video was about Croatia or Malta, find a way of mentioning us just yo make us feel nice 😂😂. All the best to you and the beautiful Tracy. We, Nairobi boys, were not able snatch Tracy away from you, seems like you treat her like a queen she is😅😅
The best in the Mara, the best on the continent, the best steak, the best cave, the best resort, the best chapati...the rating meant something once but then it got lost along the way in commercial considerations. Much as you are paid to say nice things about places, being honest and objective and sending people to places to spend thousands of dollars of their money has its responsibility. I hope the vintage excitement and honesty of your initial videos comes back when you're out there in the real world. All the best 🙏

Have you two compiled a Top 5 or 10 Best Camp list? Like best luxury, best budget, best value, best game drive, etc?
I would say yes. We have made 74 safari videos in Kenya. Every location and every budget.
@@DaveMani so I gotta watch all 74 videos. Awesome.
5:06 that is an amazing shot
Thank you :)

Thanks for the great video! I will be there end of this month and am putting my packing list together. Did you bring insect repellent or is it not necessary because of the Mara's high altitude?
They have some in the room if you need but we rarely use any. The Mara is normally not that bad in terms of bugs. 👍🏼
Great vlog 🤩
Thank you 😊
I love this ❤️
Nice :)
Dave can you explain how you can remember someone you saw 2 years ago in a different place,The drive
We don't remember everyone but when we have a good interaction with a staff member, we normally remember them. :)

Hi, big fan btw😊❤
Hello 😊
2:08 the food was so good it woke Dave up 😂. I'm curious between this one and the one in Nairobi, which is better value for your coin?
❤❤🇰🇪
Hard to say as they are completely different. One is a hotel and one is a safari camp. And I can tell you that the Mara location is MUCH more expensive as well.

my goodness it a beautiful place, how much a night
I'm not sure to be honest but expensive for sure. Their pricing are online.

I love that hahaha!
I already miss you so much 😭
More to come tho! :)
How many nights did you stay? How many nights do you recommend staying?
We stayed 2 nights but 3 would be the minimum I recommend.

Q - is off roading allowed in the safaris ?
It depends on where. Private conservancies yes but National Parks no.
Hey Dave, do they charge for lenses?
No they don't. They only charge if you print photos.
@@DaveMani ooh thanks.
Do you guys have to go?😭This farewell vlog was sad:(
also, will you guys treat us to other countries safaris???
We for sure will! :)
When were you there?
In late July 2024.
Do we have Kenyan dessert since it was a Kenyan night?
They did not... :(

A wonderful couple
Dave i thought you not Kenyan😂😂😂Say hi to Mani
:)
Wht is the music piece at 3:50
From Daniel Deuschle
Correction at 1:30, it was Indian set menu not buffet ;-)
Sure
Largest quantities of food only in USA where obesity is highest.
Did you find many animals in maasai mara
Yes
Can you share which music is this
A lot is from Daniel Deuschle.
At 2.5k USD a night for a couple This is neither ultra luxury nor at the top of the range in Masai Mara. Sala’s camp , Singita are ultra luxury !
We haven't been to those but yes, very expensive. Most people book this camp via Marriott points.
Enkewa camp'
try it pls
Maybe one day :)
Noticed their crockery was black and or clear glass.
👍🏼
Dear President Ruto, give this couple Kenyan citizenship ASAP, by default.
That would be nice :p
W
😎👍🏼
Shared game drives, shared sundowners and a location by the town away from the heart of the reserve... it's far from ultra luxury
Question of definition 😉
I have to agree with you on that one.

3000 dollar for one night??? very very expensive bro
