It’s that time of year once again.. when we pilgrimage to Black rock Desert In northern Nevada. Many things have stood in the way of this year’s gathering and the official Burning Man has been canceled but we have Plan B.
Over 430 camps have placement on our digital map and burners are planning to keep our culture alive this year. In this video I want to share knowledge of radical self reliance and survival tips as well as some things you’ll definitely want to pack. This will be my fourth trip to Black rock desert and this year will be especially hostile. There is the potential of very bad air quality from the Sierra fires There will be very few if any medical personnel and infrastructure including no major Porta potty areas.
This is an adventure for the bold and I salute all of you who are coming out but I want you to be prepared and not have false expectations the purpose of this video is to give you updates on the situation in black rock desert and to help newbies know what to bring so they survive 2021. - Розваги

Take some really good sea salt with you. If you are feeling dehydrated you can pop a tiny bit on your tongue and you'd be surprised at how quickly you feel better.

Interesting video. This will be my 20th time on the playa, including last year (2020). I will see you out there.
However, I take exception to your repeated statement that there could be 25,000 people. That is just not realistic and probably won't even reach half of that. Let's say 500 camps end up on the Plan B map. If you divide 25,000 by 500 it equals 50. That means that the AVERAGE number of people per camp is 50. There will surely be some larger camps out there but tons of camps are a mere handful of people, or even solo. 50 people is a very large camp. 25,000 is a vast overestimation.
Overestimating the population was a problem last year too. There were WAY less people than many people said. People tend to either overestimate or underestimate. In this case they overestimated. To bring such inevitable overestimations back to reality I have an ambitious project in which I will be aerial drone mapping the Plan B area (and other areas too) every single day during the week with an eye on helping to determine a population range, with upper and lower limits. I won't be counting people directly but I will be counting particular objects (which I won't mention at this time) and then applying some basic mathematical formulas to help determine the upper and lower ranges. Flight times for the mapping process are estimated to take up to three hours a day for just the Plan B area alone, which I have used software to determine is approximately 2,345 acres.
I agree with everything you said but I wish you hadn't used a number that isn't really supported by last year's experience, current map numbers, or simple math. 25,000 is more rumor than reality. But rather than just take my opinion at face value, one of my main goals is to provide actual forms of verifiable data to make a more clear and accurate estimate of how many people end up showing up. I plan to create a video and likely a written report on my findings.

I saw a few people online estimating those numbers I too thought they were a bit high. I think your right more likely only about half that many will actually show maybe less. I hope to see you out there
