Bro you are so wrong...
The anode should be made with copper substance (copper rod)and the cathode should be the metal which needs to be coated.....
Even though you added copper sulphate the reaction will not work properly since when the copper sulphate will turn into copper and it will be coated on the cathode
For the remaining reaction the iron from the anode will dissolve in the electrolyte and thus iron will be coated on the cathode( iron blade).....
You are telling about electrolysis of copper sulphate, but I demonstrate only Electroplating (Copper polishing) like iron nails . But I use blades in place of iron nails. I trying to show Electroplating not electrolysis here.

It's takes just 1 to 2 minutes unless Copper sulphate will dissolved in water in excess.

This Is Wrong, You Just Deposited Some Loose Mettal paricales Onto The Blade, The Anode Needs To Be The Metal You Want To Strip The Metal From, It Should Be Copper If You Copper Plate, The 9 Volt Battery Got Me Fucked Up :D

This is because when pure copper metal is connected as cathode and the metal that is to be electroplated is connected as anode, the charges from the cathode carry Cu2+ ions and migrate towards the anode, where the metal to be electroplated is attached, and deposit on that and gives a copper layer on it.hope this helps😁
