This park might take the record for “most unique ride lineup” with its massive amount of observation rides with some being very bizarre and a one of a kind Vekoma terrain coaster.
I love this countdown. At Tibidabo, Barcelona is the star. The suspended and open train at the 4 spot was freaky. I would not want to go on that alone. Also that church was stunning.
As it's my home park and I love it, I'm going to be pedant on this comment section, hope I can give some interesting information! 0:35 Yep, Diavolo is truly a ride to enjoy the views, it is open again now!! From Castell dels Contes (The Fairytales Castle) I prefered the old theming, the Castell del Terror (The Terror Castle). It was all-public, light terror. Don't get me wrong it desperately needed modernization, it was practically falling apart, but I would have liked that they kept the theming :( The new funicular (before there was an ugly one full of graffitti) is probably the only recent change to the park I actually love!!! The bad part of Mina d'Or is that you don't get wet on the second fall, even if you're the first in the log you don't get wet a lot. Also, on summer queu here takes forever (it's hot and it's the only water atracttion xd). But the first fall is just great for a small log flume like that! For personal reasons, I've never tried Interactibi, there's always queu though, so I guess it must at least be fun :) The Avió dates back to 1928. It is an exact replica of the first plane to do the trip Barcelona-Madrid, and it's moved by its own helix (the crane only keeps it on its place)!!! It's just iconic for how unique it is, but queu is etern due to its low capacity. extra fun fact, they've only taken the plane off the crane once for a full maintenance and repaint on 2017, before that, it had never been taken down xd. Giradabo: the views are cool, not much else, is just a ferris wheel. I must say your pronunciation attempts are pretty funny hahaha. Embruixabruixes is another ride I find incredible, just that it was even better before! All those lighting effects for theming were phyisical stuff and some animatronicsbefore with a really good story behind. And I've heard that the previous iteration was even better... I find it sad that they're taking apart all those magical physical effects and just put a bunch of LED screens, specially since this is the oldest ride in the park :( The only remainer of that era is the guy in a goblin mask, we all love him here :D Krueger Hotel, also never entered, too scary xd Talaia: can't say anything you didn't say :) Edit: and people, when it first openned, thought you could cure cough if you rode it, that's how advanced it was to its time xd And for the Muntanya Russa, just the same. I would add as a fun fact that, as it is the only rollercoaster in the park, it is named rollercoaster (that's what muntanya russa means in catalan xd). Now they've added an optional VR headset to it, but I actually think they could leave it to the frankly boring launcher "coaster" Tibidabo Espress (now Virtual Espress), the muntanya russa is a masterpiece on its own. Now some comments from other atractions I love: The automaton museum is just great. Even Walt Disney tried to buy them for Disneyland when he was travelling through Europe to get inspiration, but the park refused to sell them. It is one of the greatest automaton collections in the world! I also love the Marionetarium, a classic puppet show with old restored puppets as well as newer ones. And last but not least, they're adding a freefall on 2024!!! There used to be a top spin named hurakan, but due to high maintenance costs they got rid of it last year and they're putting that 50 meter freefall on its place. This is a small, familiar park, but a small, familiar park we all barcelonians love. Yeah, I know, too much text xd
@@loopingthrills645 yep, removed due to high maintenance costs. It was actually closed half of the times I went, it was really unreliable. BUT, they're putting a freefall on its place :)
Embruixabruixes was probably my favorite ride, with the psychedelic tunnels and the scare actor. And I ALMOST missed it and left the park (the entrance is quite hidden). Sadly, the haunted house was closed all the time I was there and there was no posted information. Maybe it only opens at night? Also, the odd powered coaster didn’t make your list?
@@CanobieCoaster I agree that the powered coaster had a dull layout, but it was also a weird layout and for my ride the train moved at an expectedly fast speed that had everyone on the train, kids and adults, going bonkers. For me it was memorable.
@@StamfordBridge This ride wins a lot with VR, a shame they moved it to the Muntanya Russa >:( After 2 or 3 times the launcher coaster gets boring xd, although I loved it as a kid :)
This park looks so interesting and definetly a must visit when in Barcelona... I was wondering... what if they decide do get a major thrill coaster? Something like Defiance at Glenwood Caverns... It would be insane
When bulding the Vekoma coaster there were people protesting for like 20 trees they would cut (although they were also planting like 200 new ones), so I find that option difficult xd. Also, the park knows its target: tourists that come for the views and families from Barcelona, they don't want neither can compete with PortAventura just at an hour distance
Thanks for this video. All those observation attractions are really great. What is the round brick tower seen in some of your shots? I'm guessing it's a historic structure located very near the park rather than an attraction in the park?
Like my friend said up here, it's a water tower from 1905. It is inside the park but it cannot be visited as far as I know... There's also an old radio station an someone house there xd
I think I asked this a while ago, but will you do reviews for Alton Towers and ride reviews for their major rides next year? (I know you already did Nemesis)
Such amazing rides on that mountain, the views they all give is spectacular but that airplane crane ride is especially unique.
Those views make the park.
Looks like a really special park
It's very unique.

So many observation rides!
Took a breathtaking locale and "plussed IT!"
Sure did.
Interesting park. Almost like it exists solely because of the view.
That helps immensely.
Epic as always
Thanks!
I’ve never herd of the park or the rides, looks cool
Very unique.

True!
When I was a kid I just jumped onto that with no fear. When I grew up I noticed I should actially have been afraid xd
So neat. Happy new year to you.
Happy new year!
Stunning views at this park defo 👏
For sure.

Thank you for all the info! I'll have to look up a video of what the monorail's old theming was. I really liked how classic the park was.
fun fact: montaña rusa is spanish for roller coaster
Yes
Well, actually catalan in this case: Muntanya Russa :)
Are you going to do a full Portaventura Review now that you've done all of the coasters?
That will come early next year.
I really need to stop underestimating the size of parks because I thought for sure there wouldn't be enough rides for a countdown in this case.
The observation rides really fill this park out.
I went to this park a couple of years ago and I think I can remember there use to be a top spin ride with decent themeing did it get removed?
It was removed.
@@CanobieCoaster that's a shame I live in the UK and only 6yrs ago there was 4 permanent ones they sadly have all been removed

That park looks amazing! How high up is the park?
1600ish feet.
The highest hill at Collserola (the mountain range around Barcelona)!! 500 meters, and from the Talaia, 550 aprox. :)

The powered coaster had a dull layout. The haunt was closed for part of the day for us as well.

They close at lunch time for actors to eat, but at Spanish lunch time, so that's why you thought it was closed xd
