I appreciate the video! Thanks for all the effort. Do you keep both original oem cmu and android unit? I’m wondering where do you keep the android one? Behind the passenger side glove box or under the original cmu? Thanks a lot!!
At 11:05 you can see where i put the android box. I put it between the glove box and aircon unit. It won't fit in the dash. Because the original unit remains there.
Man this is exactly what i was looking for thanks for uploading this . One question: Where did you place the GPS and 4G antennas? and do we need to plug the Bluetooth that comes with the screen or we can use the car original Bluetooth?
I also installed this on my Mazda 2017 Atenza, but faced with some troubled to find out, where the Aux port is located in my car, in the end, I ended up using a Aux cable and connected it to my Aux port. Anyways, it's a wonderful unit
It comes with a wiring harness that connects to a plug in the front right kick panel. Then you run the RCA cables back to the stereo. But you still have to use the (supplied) dummy AUX plug that plugs into the AUX port of the car. This allows AUX to be an option to select when in the music settings.
yeah, the plug that at my right kick panel didn't matched with harness that they gave me but, the plug that is at front left kick panel did matched the harness one but didn't worked @@ausprime
Two questions that would really help me out as the Aliexpress store is struggling on helping me with the first one. 1. You mentioned that your steering wheel controls work fine. Did they work fine out of the box? I got this installed and I can skip tracks although sometimes I have to press it 2/3 for it to register but then it works the rest of the drive but the volume button only controls the Mazda side and not the Android system. The volume knob in the center console works as it should. In the vehicle settings where you select what backup camera you want to use what are all your numbers. I tried to see them in your video but I couldn't make them out. Mainly the Parameter and SWC setting. I also see there's also a button mapping app but that doesn't do anything and the Sinosmart store said that's correct as steering controls are built into the canbus automatically. This is the last big issue I'm having with this unit. 2. I saw in another comment that you didn't need the external mic because it uses the factory Mazda mic. Did you have to do extra wiring to hook that up or change a setting? I did a test call to my Google Voice number and left a voicemail. It was for sure using the built in mic on the screen itself. It was very bad quality and when at highway speeds you couldn't hear anything I was saying. The built in mic is good enough for giving Google Assistant commands in Android Auto but I wouldn't want to have a conversation on the phone. I ordered a external mic by Kenwood as the one in the box isn't that great either. If I could use the Mazda mic that would be great as it's a good one.

The Mazda OEM screen became stretched and the backup cam setting changed to the 360 option without me touching anything. The Sinosmart store helped me get the Mazda system back how it should but the Mazda logo disappeared. Now it's a generic picture of a car. But I still like it. @kacpi6192 there should be a vehicle settings icon. Then you can go to the camera settings and select before device. If it still doesn't work, you might need to get the reverse camera wire adapter.
