- Another great fishing trip in Alberta with my dad! This time my younger brother decided to join the fun with his drone. We were planning on fishing in BC, but because of the out-of-province restrictions I was unable to get a license this year. Nonetheless, some great fishing and huge trout!

Loved the video 👍
Haha yeah one of our favorite spots!
That last one if from one of my favorite stretches of that river. Amazing hopper section! Nice vid!
Thanks! They weren't going for any dry when we were there, but I'll definitely try some hoppers next time! Such an awesome river.
Those are some very beautiful Fish Dude! .....Nice!
Thanks!
Amazing video man! Makes me want to get out more!
Thanks! I can't wait to get back out there again too.
@@fishandsticks8038 Will be hitting the sheep river a bit more this year over the bow haha. Will see how it goes.
These are simply gorgeous rivers. Are there local guides that could show a visiting fly fisherman (from Manitoba) some of these waters?
Ya they are some of the nicest rivers I've seen! There are quite a few guide / fly shops around this area where you can rent a drift boat or get a guide. If you're heading into BC to fish those rivers (also very very nice) you'll have to make sure you get the proper license, as the out of province licenses get sold out pretty fast.
@@fishandsticks8038 Thanks, much appreciated. Are out-of-province Alberta licenses in better supply then.
In this region some of the BC rivers are deemed classified waters. So you'll have to get a classified waters license per day if you're a non resident. I think it was $20/day and the angling day you choose is booked in advance.....if you can get a spot.
On the Alberta side you just need a one-time non resident license which is good for the year. I don't think they cap the number of anglers for these licenses.
@@fishandsticks8038 Thanks, that information is much appreciate!
@@fishandsticks8038 non-resident licenses don't sell out.
Looks like a piscifun reel. I have one like that. The clicker locked up four fish in had to take the part out to keep using it.
Good to know! So far it's been working well for me, no issues. Have about 5 days fishing with it now.
Could you share some the flies that were used. Looking to visit for my 50th looks amazing! TIA
We were mainly using black ants, drakes, and caddis. The trout were extremely picky though so had to switch it up all the time.
Awesome Video! Are you guys from Alberta?
Thanks! I just moved to Alberta, but my dad and brother live in BC. So far so good for fishing!
Great stuff! Just subscribed:)
Thanks!!
What is this river called? I would love to fly fish there. I love your vifoes
Thank you! I don't want to give out which rivers, but they are all down south in Alberta near Pincher Creek.
Nice👍
Thank you!
