The Garou & metal bat link up was something I did not know I needed in my life 🤣 it’s even better because when metal bat & Garou attacked sage centipede simultaneously it reminded me of in bleach during the hueco mundo arc when kenpachi & byakuya was arguing and yami was about to attack both of them & they both attacked him at once 🤣

Of all the things I didn’t expect to see in this this manga,seeing Saitama surf on a colossal wave taller than mountains with an aircraft carrier definitely is one of the highest on that list
It's so out of place with the rest of the manga it just feels wrong. ONE does random stuff like that and makes it comedic. This seems like Murata just decided to make everything over the top crazy just cause. This is definitely my least favorite chapter in a while

When the raw chapter (untranslated) came out, people were doo-doo-ing on the whole Garou/Metal Bat teaming up thing, as well as the humor coming back into the arc.
This was a great chapter. Sure, it's completely unexpected, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I chuckled at what happened, and I'm quite interested where it'll go from here.

They probably had too much literature pretentiousness thinking they can do better than the artist and the author. This chapter is great as always. Love the unexpectedness and the shift between the serious (series punch) and the light comedic punch line. People seem to forget this is One-punch man! Our MC is a bald guy with a resting face that goes better with a stick figure.

I thought the Garou and Metal Bat banter was a bit out of place. Garou's character is at a crossroads right now between going through with what he says he wants to do and discarding his humanity and what he actually wants to do and I think it makes his true motivations a bit too obvious too early by him being overly goofy and tsundere.

The manga Garou is more light-hearted but lacks the punch compared to the webcomic version of him.
I get it that the manga version is more consistent with his character and more in tune with the story but still, I want to see Murata's version of displaying Garou's badassery when it comes down to that scene.

You’re not wrong but id say it was meant to be somewhat obvious that garou was a good guy as to portray his inner conflict and lack of self understanding. I feel like they went a bit too on the nose with it but its kind of a minor thing. Anyway that’s just my thoughts but yeh it would be cool to see him put a few more people in the hospital. I think zhonin was right about tareo being presumed dead as that would definitely bring out the savage in garou.
I definitely agree that if Garou was to accept God's power, it could ONLY be from deception, possibly mixed with desperation whilst having his final battle with Saitama.
It'd probably be after he's been defeated by Saitama, it could show up as Bang or Tario then offer him the power to beat Saitama but it might end up making him weaker somehow.

I'm pretty sure he's gonna be the god of evil again once Tareo is secured and he get rid of the Sage Centipede and Metal Bat or any other remaining S class heroes, and finally fight toe-to-toe with Saitama. This is only Murata building up to the final fight that he promised will surpass the Saitama vs Boros fight, though I must admit this chapter is a little bit below what we usually expect of OPM

Garou is a blend of reverse goku and sasuke. Taken in by an old martial arts master. Was good but turned bad. Naturally tallented. Wants to take over with ultimate evil. Gets stronger through joining an evil organisation and activating monsterification(sharingan like)
Maybe Saitama has an aura around him, like King. That's why he's not well known and God hasn't locked his sights on him yet.
