After 7 long years of wait, we will finally witness the final Garou “transformation”
“Job Hunter Garou” The most chad version of Garou we’ll ever see.
Lmao
LOL
well yes because he has new hairstyle on the webcomic
Bro I just wanna see the fight that he has when he’s looking for a job since it still would be a really good one
Goddammit you're here again
King seems to have realized about his own “power” of influence over others
He always steps up when he has too to protect. "Engine" just always backs him up.
Same power as luffy from one piece
His engine is OPM's version of One Piece Conqueror's haki lol
And when future ass saitamw knocked god from the eye of jupiter to the moon for past present and future he seemed to get de ja vu. Btw heart transplant recipients gain memories from the dead donors so yeah.
He has conquered haki
Genos' core probably has a sort of black box-like function implemented by Dr. Kuseno to assist in making improvements to Genos based on battle data. If that's the case, there's no reason why Genos wouldn't have access to core data as well in order to self-improve on the fly.
Yeah that makes sense. I just didn't expect it to have a hidden camera that works when it's not plugged into anything
@@ckowkay I think it will be activated when the core removed from Genos body, because you know he's always falling apart. Dr.Kuseno knows well him.
WEBCOMIC SPOILER:
I wonder if Dr. Kuseno’s death in the manga will now be do to him witnessing some GOD shit through Genos’s core?
@@Crazy_2100 I think it may play out the same way. The manga seems to be setting itself up to flesh out those events in the webcomic with the involvement of Metal Knight here in this chapter. Perhaps he gets a hold of the data and that leads him to develop all those super robots he sent to the doctor's lab? His experimentation on people exposed to the radiation may be what leads to the neo hero association and their cybernetic augmentations.
@@ckowkay it wasn't plugged into anything but it's safe to assume it may have still held some power (think of a laptop entering its lowest powered sleep state), otherwise Saitama wouldn't have made the effort to protect it in battle.
In the panel where Garou disappears before the heroes, i like the nice detail where noone can figure out which way he ran to but Saitama looks up meaning he was the only one who could catch Garou's movements
I mean, it's Saitama.
We the readers as well.
Exactly..I too noticed it
It’s the same as the web comic one too
Its small details like these what makes ONE and Yusuke murata geniuses.
Blast 100% remembers the whole sequence. The other dimension is not influenced by the normal flow of time. That was written specifically for this moment.
Nah time works different then dimension! He went into a new timeline, blast can travel in different parts of the universe lol!
Definitely would not say 100%
100% uncertainty. No source.
wait until the next chapter before you start claiming your statement as facts bro, not that hard

King stares Amai Mask's to pure silent is just a gold moment when we know how arrogant Amai Mask can be even if its someone who is stronger than he is.
Yeah 😂😂🔥🔥 that shit was funny. Even Amai mask backed down
yeah, it's really serious, that King simply ignore Amai Mask's capability and give him a sharp stare
King shuts someone up with his glare alone
Amai mask respects king. He's mentioned it before in a conversation with saitama, think it's the Web comics though. Where he wants to turn saitama into what he thinks a true hero is.
In one sentence Genos says ,
" A new you separated from the original you at the start of your time travel , and merged with the you of this timeline when the movement was completed "
Which means Saitama didn't time travel himself back, but instead a *Clone* of him was created which travelled back in time and fused with the older self after completing the destined job .
Genos also says ,
" The timing of separation & merging maybe a clue to the timing of when the *parallel world spilt off* "
Meaning that there is still a future reality ( which has now become a parallel reality as the result of "reverse of causality" ) in which Genos , garou & other heroes are dead and Saitama still standing naked
True, murata made a point to say that it's a parallel timeline, I wonder what relevance that lonely saitama will have later.
Oh! What if next chapter we get an exposition between blast and alternate timeline saitama?
Then I am scared maybe Evil Saitama theory will become real
@@starbeard5538 this is what im thinking, maybe not even a fully evil saitama just a more depressed saitama considering this version would be living in a barren earth with everyone he knows dead
So, it wasn't a one time clean trade off I see. It comes with a price.
@@ninjahunterx7497 The bill comes due. >___< i'm so scare of a lonely saitama who was left on a barren earth in a parallel timeline. he might build up into a resentful god being that goes around destroying universes as a hobby.
King might not have the physicality to be a hero but he definitely has the heart of one and I respect him all the way.
Mumen Rider is the one with the heart.
@@kissme1518 they both have hearts, but king's heart is louder.
What actions does king ever do to show heart? Besides him panicking all the time? Is it the fact he doesn’t pass out from such a surge in blood pressure?
@@henrysosa8565 he's a beacon hope. No one knows he doesn't have powers, but when King does show up everyone gains confidence, everyone becomes sure the battle is winnable. No average Joe can just pull that off.
@@bangerxshane he also defeated a monster from the fear he caused to it
I believe the reason for the Core recording everything is because the Core wasn’t hooked up to Genos, Genos was hooked up to the Core. Garou simply ripped it out of the housing which caused Genos to lose power, but because it wasn’t destroyed, it just quietly kept on running the entire time, recording its surroundings.
Good comment
Yeah, the core is the power supply, but the issue is why does the core has camera's? Maybe to gather data, but in the event of his core being removed Genos is pretty much dead, plus Genos self destruction is done by exploding the core.
@@ninjahunterx7497 It might not have cameras, but rather passive sensors that engage should the core be removed, probably so it can be tracked if stolen.
>Yukio[
@@decimation9780 It's just data Genos has the software to translate it to something resembling a story
Another important line that Genos said was, "I need to tell this to the people who need to hear it. Its my job as a disciple." So, in upcoming chapters Genos might tell Blast if he appears later because if Blast is unaware of the time travel then he needs to know what actually happened. Genos also saw all about Blast and God in those memories. So he knows how important Blast is in this whole thing. Genos might also tell Bang and even Garou but I think that will happen near the end of series when others will come to know about the truth as well. Now we know that if Saitama can time travel then God most probably can too. We might even see a full blown battle through timelines. Am I over expecting !😂 This legit feels like what a battle between Kang and the Avengers should look like......through universes through timelines.
Lol, i think time travelling fight would conquer every bargains, destroy arcs and timelines, or even reality.

@@TOATForShort its just as he said in 4:48, saitama will probably do it again
I'd be ok with Saitama continuing the joke of not being appreciated Association-wise if even just Blast will know the truth
@@TOATForShort Saitama always has the ability he just doesnt remmeber the way, but Genos also has all the memory. So he can tell Saitama whenever needed. Now at this time Genos just thinks that Saitama is pretending to not know but that confusion can be cleared easily.
King stepping up in that moment to do the right thing when so many others were ready to kill, that was a beautiful moment in where he basically fought against the Hero Association and won without throwing a single punch.
The True Zero Punch Man
Yes, it's a change but I really like that Saitama remembers the events like Platinum S etc.
Even if he doesn't really recall the battle he contended with future Garou.
And Genos remembering a lot since there's two cores.
If only Genos could show the core's memory through Projection.
He could do that, he's hooked to the core after all
I think that part wasn't important to the original story and only a means to retcon Saitama involvement.
@@jermainekngdom3154 it wasnt a retcon. The manga rewrote the whole thing but still using webcomic base plot with the addition of god
i think kuseno will see it with genos and they will probably discuss abt it with saitama
I mean it is possible but people might doubt him at first and say that he is malfunctioning or some BS like that
King is so nice giving time to other heroes to think he could also use the path of pure dominance but he gave time to think
The zero punch is such an epic name for a move in one punch man, and also makes sense in terms of science as well, as he emerges from the zero point energy field aka a wormhole, he is able to maintain that momentum, delivery a punch which is carrying potential energy from the future.
from the fictional superpower wiki:
"Causality Manipulation"
Users can manipulate causality, the relationship between causes and effects, allowing them to decide what happens and what doesn't, when and how. There is no need for a "why" however, as the why of something is determined by causality itself, which is at the users' command, making it one of the few powers that reasonably don't need a reason.
The causal alterations can be either specific or systemic. Specific alterations are momentary ones, naturally ceasing with their realization i.e. Absolute Wish. Systemic Alterations permanently changes the causal structure of reality, enforcing new chains of fate upon it until the user decides otherwise.
All forms of existence and phenomena rely on causality. Because of this, the power to manipulate it naturally overrides any other power put against it, as they all rely on causality to work.
Guess King is lesser degree of this or at least a beacon for causality manipulation to occur.
Absolutely crazy it explains why saitama would never have lost in any situation
Goku can't do that lol
@@bigpj7359 with your comments here, these tards are gon come here and ruined everything by saying NO GOKU SOLOS HE STILL BEATS SAITAMA'S ASS or whatever the hell they say
I like to think that garou attempted the time travel technique like saitama but since his body was destroyed by god, his spirit was able to do so and merge with past garou. Possibly explaining why garou seem to give up when getting beaten to a pulp and possibly feeling what his future self felt.
I didnt even think of that, but it really makes the ghost garou and current garou giving up make so much sense!
Yeah and that kid he was protecting saw a ghost like figure of future garou too.
I believe Metal Knight was the cherry on top. It’s incredible he be on time, aware of every threat and I can’t wait for the secret plan he has up
He is an artificial God watching others fight.
Lmao. Remember how Saitama was recalling something like "A hero's intuition? I never show up on time."
Meanwhile Metal Knight knows what's happening and still doesn't show up on time
@@drakebilowski7557 Metal Knight is on time. His own time
@@susear5939 Yes
Super sus that he shows up when he does, but he didnt in the alternate timeline
King seems to have entered a mode where he's able to control his aura now. Think about it. He wasn't in danger, nor was he terrified. He merely recognized the situation and exerted his pressure. He legit mastered it and now has full-time access. This is HUGE! Why isn't anyone talking about this?
Edit: Or maybe it was a feeling akin to stage freight created by putting himself in the situation of a lot of pissed off heroes that may have actually been responsible for the intense aura if you wish to remain skeptical.
Good take man! If we consider the latter part of your comment (the "stage fright" scenario) it could be because he's potentially about to come between a big group of highly capable heroes who, in theory, could stomp him. In his mind it would be like stepping between a pack of lions and hyenas who both want to eat the wounded gazelle in the middle.
Either way, King is magnificent ^^
I think Garous “ghost” showing up makes sense as he did perform the same technique Saitama did. It’s just incomplete because he’s not as powerful.
I like how everyone is shocked when garou fled not knowing where he went but, there's saitama looking up
Funny if Garou back to that moon lol
@@makosen he lost his cosmic power so maybe not that far to one of Jupiter's moon. But, Earth Moon? Maybe because he 's still far stronger than any S-Class hero. I'm curious about the spine in the moon though.
I totally called that Genos' core would record the alternate timeline. I didn't think this would become apparent so quickly, though. I thought it would be necessary for Kuseno to do some work on it.
While I agree that Metal Knight will ultimately have good intentions, his reveal at the end of this chapter is ominous because he had all these resources on standby, just watching as all the heroes fell to the cadres, and only showing up once the threat was over. It gives an incredible sense of “what is this guy capable of, and what is he hiding?
well i mean blast showed up and ended up feeding garou free skills
@@ginger88895 lmfao 😂😂
I think not only Genos that know about the alternate future, i think Metal Knight would also know through his investigations in the site detecting an anomaly of space-time. In a way this would connect to Metal Knight-Genos-Drive Knight conflict for the later story.
I think Blast would also aware of Saitama due to him being outside of the dimension, making him possibly not worry about Earth that much and not appear for sometimes until future events.
King saving Garou is a highlight for me
That core is gonna play a huge role in a future arc I think. It could be used for combat data for the organization to create a being or AI as powerful as Saitama was with that "current" power up until Saitama just raises the bar a bit higher to totally dominate. Maybe like a Cell situation, implementing data from Blast, Garou and Saitama. Metal Knight and Drive Knight are definitely going to play a huge role in it, I think Metal Knight's real top feats are going to be pretty insane when we finally see it.
hahaha possible but not what you're narrating coz story wise sucks 🤣
I love the panel showing how Noone saw which direction Garou went in except Saitama who saw that he leaped up, just another subtle illustration that Saitama is on a different level to all the other heroes present.
It's mean Garou was MFTL
I think it was garou from future not tareo's dream
Just to see him once more
Maybe he also sent himself back to see the aftermath of Saitama's intervention before dying
Kinda dissapointed that Saitama didn't remember his fight with Garou
I think Saiatama pretends he doesn’t remember.
I really want to see Garou’s character going forward. I know he’ll have a major self reflection. I’m also curious whether he will be able to surpass his cosmic form by breaking his limiter (even if he doesn’t remove it completely like Saitama did). Also I really want to see Metal Knight get some action in upcoming arcs.
Metal Knight has to be evil. In all of the major fights he doesn't even bother helping and only shows up at the end to gain from them.
@@cyberstonks you sure about that it's metal bat?
@@cyberstonks no, in webcomic he is one of the main hero that still does his job as a hero, the real bad guy is metal knight
They ended this exactly like the webcomic while keeping the gimmick alive where Saitama was revealed in the webcomic. So garou becomes a hero as a half monster. They kinda screwed it up trying to keep the gimmick. The webcomic is better.
@@jermainekngdom3154 it’s pretty good. I’d say the climax in the webcomic was more impactful even if I believe the manga’s was more intricate. Personally I prefer the manga because the events and characters seem far more layered but the webcomic does better at building suspense and is probably worth more for entertainment value.
So instead of some s class being aware of saitama's strength after the fight with garou like in the webcomic, were back to genos being the only one aware of what happened, not even saitama knows what he did. I gotta say this is quite interesting. Also it looks like were not gonna get that fubuki vs psykos fight in this arc after all even though psykos was just seen in that earlier chapter.
It looks like they are saving Fubuki vs Psykos for the psychic sisters arc
Its likely blast and metal knight know, blast because of his alternate dimension shenanigans, and metal knight because he HAD to be watching the whole time. Why else would he show up after genos os dealt with, but never in the alternative timeline
Metal knight chose not to show up at that point in time in the other timeline. This shows that he doesn't have enough heroic tendencies due to the fact that he would have left everyone to die when he knows that the problem is still ongoing.
he doesnt even pilot the mech right? so why even bother?
I am not really sure about that... the fight between Saitama and Godrou was super fast and didn't probably last much considering their speed was above everything seen. Like the fight in Jupiter could have happened in less than 5 minutes
I'm pretty sure Metal Knight just knows everything.Thats why he always shows up seconds after the fight is over. He probably knows what happened and what Saitama is capable of. Villian for sure 👍.
I think future Garou fused with his present self, cause when he shattered, his pieces must have flew back to his present self, just like what happened with Saitama, since both of them where involved in the Time Travel. Garou was able to travel back in time along with Saitama just before completely dieing as a Soul or something similar to this current timeline.
Well, it said in chapter that Garou kinda accept his defeat calmly (instead of throw a fit like in webcomic) because his future-self so I think that’s very possible.
Except Garou said his version was imperfect. So that ghost thing Tareo saw was likely all Garou could actually do.
@@frenchfriedbagel7035 thats sad
I wonder how this will affect ZombieMans training arc, in the original webcomic he witnessed the serious table flip and decided to meet Doctor Genius to train to remove his limiter like Saitama but in the Manga he did not witness the serious table flip so I wonder if there was going to be a training arc for him.
And that would make for such good content
He might decide to get stronger because he realised how much of a limiting factor his weak body was against HE I guess?
I’m personally just waiting for the Apple scene with king.
Maybe instead of questioning Dr.Genus about Saitama's strength, he would probably ask him about the existence of God and then Genus will bring up the limiter part.
Remember there's still a way for him to witness the table flip.
I'm surprised King didn't get the credit for the punch lmao
If king got naked. Then he will get the credit😆
@@kennethsalido5785 lol
Metal Knight is definitely a good guy. He just operates on a higher lvl on 🌎 like Blast does beyond. MK can seem evil because he makes calculated, rational choices that will result in the most good.
. Makes sense
He‘s thinking like a computer
hmmm in the webcomic, seems like metal knight is the only one can pull off a robot invasion :/ also drive knight knows that metal is a threat which he told to genos.
@@fogz It seemed like there was only one hero organisation til there wasn't just one.
@@fogz I'm sure that the organization could do it regardless of Metal Knight
This series is unstoppable 😩🔥🔥
Im going to give 3 different endings based on what i know:
Saitama fights God, who doesn’t challenge him at all, he goes back to earth and now all the monsters are gone and everyone is normal again (Except Genos who continues stalking Saitama)
Saitama fights God, who doesn’t challenge him at all, he goes back to Earth and now he has lost his super strength, he is excited to fight a Monster and have a great battle. Unknowingly, he walks into one and they get sent flying into outer space. This confuses the Caped Baldy as he continues his search for a Monster. Eventually he finds one and decides to test it’s strength by giving it a weak punch. The monster dies in One Punch. He thinks the Monster was just weak and goes to find another. and another. and another. Until he comes face to face with a monster destroying cities at a time. He goes up to that and gives it a light hearted punch, only to be met with the same blood and guts he is ever so used to. Once again, he looks up into the sky, and screams “DAMMIT!”
Saitama has just fought of a threat so great not even the entire Hero Association combined could scratch it. Everyone sees this unparalleled feat of strength and he is now recognized as the world’s strongest hero. He is, however, not put into S-Class Rank 1, because the idiots who run the Hero Association were unconcious the whole time.
(Bonus 3) The Hero Assosciation see this amazing feat of strength and they give him his own tier, above S-Class. One Punch Man.
Saitama will end the fight with one punch against god, its a clear ending
I think they will change his hero name from Caped Baldy to One Punch Man by the end of the series.
@@humansfromearth but then in Saitama fashion, he's gonna accept his original moniker "Caped Baldy" in the most chad way possible lol 😂
Saitama will not lose his powers. His power is his and his alone. There’s nothing giving him his strength in any way. That’s confirmed by Dr Genus
I don't think Saitama will defeat God anytime soon plus it would take more than 1 punch.
There are not other timelines, that's just a theory from Genos. We, the audience, see that the time was going backwards, literally. We even see that Murata put a sign saying "end of rewind"
So, there is not a timeline in wich all the heroes are dead, or almost everyone on earth... Saitama went back and fix it, it didn't happened at all. Thats why he can't remember it, because it never happened.
The core from the future is just an element for the story to be told... That's the only way to give the characters some kind of grow.
(sorry for the english, it is not my first language)
Finally a correct comment
totally agree. If it was a different timeline, then present/future Saitama would not have merged and future Garou's 'remnant essence' would not have merged with present Garou
I think murata wants to unleash the theory of multiverse in opm thats why he showed us the very accurate and clear explanation through genos. And most possibly genos would be aware of the saitama merging with each other. He knows everything aas we audience knows
@@imvolbro219 nope, he only assumes, in fact, he specificaly says that. He doesn't know that there was a rewind, neither he knows that Murata gave us a sign "end of rewind"
He assumes that Saitama remembers everything, when we know that he forgot🤷♂️. Genos just make a theory, like he always does, overthinking everything
@@numbers93 you're right...
That future Garou must be so happy to see Tareo alive.
Btw to clarify to people, Garou, when teaching saitama time travel, the very same technique he said he never managed to master it, somehow ACTUALLY does it.. he goes back in time as well but in the state where the powers are leaving him and he is dying. This could be for 2 simple reasons:
1. Garou does not have mastery over time travel, so he couldn't undo the damage God was doing to him, and he couldnt merge with his old self.
2. Garou did master it, and he did properly travel back in time and should have somehow lived and merged, but god's abilities transcend "TIME" and garou's overall level (Which was semi universal at that point).
So, all what Garou managed to do is to go back time in his dying state to the point he could see Tareo wake up so his heart is assured. That's all. It was beautiful.
I wish they would have put the epic long conversation between Saitama and Garou." WHY ARE YOU A HERO?" Then Saitama picks his nose and just says he does it for fun. Garou became a monster and Saitama pointed out he had no confidence to be a hero. He really needed that reality check, but we just didn't get that in this chapter.
We don’t need that “I do it for fun” part anymore right after seeing Saitama like that in the fight so that’s good.
So now we are going to see Saitama's pet in Manga, can't wait to see it.
I hope Black S becomes a squatter at his place like in the WC
probably monaco too, since she's one of the only few monsters alive, considering she's befriended saitama atleast, im thinking she with black S and good ol rover will become saitamas "pets" and hang in his doghouse
Maybe black sperm, rover, or even monaca
@@dr3ubrub664 If ONE wants to keep Saitama's pets the same, then Manako can at least be Flashy's exotic animal
for sure
So it’s been confirmed in this chapter that their are alternate realities/timelines and that Genos remembered everything from the Future Timeline.
If this was alternate timelines, it's mean real timelines is gone?
@@makosen not gone
its still there and it will work just like this timeline
and maybe we see it in future
And once again, Metal Knight has to step up to clean up the mess. Also since he dismantled Boros' ship, i think he has to notice that something was off, like so many dead monsters inside the ship killed in one hit, and the top of the ship being completely destroyed despite all battle efforts were on the ground.
Now he's left with the question of who was fighting Garou
Saitama might get his recognition if he is reviewed by metal knight to have the most radiation which would mean he was the closest to garou or even there being radiation on his fist
I agree! Is it also possible that perhaps Saitama won’t have any radiation on him as it has no effect on him thus leaving no trace?
@@thebeyonder5032 True but I think If anything Genos or blast might speak the truth
Not sure the exact quote or if i could the right translation but in the web comic Saitama says something like
"Deep down you wanted to be a Hero, but it was just easier to be a Villan."
So is it infinite timelines or a limited number of timelines regardless of what it is the fact that no matter how many timelines or whatever he did in those timelines HE COULD NOT DEFEAT SAITAMA basically there was no amount of martial arts or technique he used or copying of Saitamas power no plan he could come up with no planet they landed on no amount of running away no amount of hax or abilities he used and no amount of outlasting him was enough to beat him in ANY timeline
My guy is broken
Doesn’t that also imply that in another timeline Garou never showed Saitama how to time travel yet he still found a way to save everyone by breaking time and space?
Probably
@@Jdub3amigo what ?
He meant Saitama would had just bulldozed garou to save genos and everyone he strength would had just punch through time
Saitama is a manipulator of laws of casuality. Like giorno. He can reset anything and everything that happened no matter what/how, until he is victorious. (though it was confirmed already by multiple things). And hes a gag as confirmed by the interview of one punch man sunday. gg ez.
Sweet!! Can’t wait for the next arc
My theory on the core managing to record everything even pass Genos' death, it's cause if Genos ever did die, as a fail safe for Dr. Kuseno, the Dr could still technically revive him, though the difference now is that in a body that's fully mechanical. Dunno how the Dr would just have a brain laying around der. In anycase, that's what I think of the reason why the core manage to do such.
It’s sad we never got the “but you can never defeat me” speech from saitama
How can Saitama say that if Saitama doesn't remember anything today 😥 i feel something unsatisfied in this part
Opm future timeline reminds me of BvS and ZSJL knightmare future.
What an incredible end to an incredibly long arc. Truly one and murata have blessed us so much.
"I'll leave tomorrow's problem to tomorrow's me"
-past Saitama
I can’t believe you dropped this rn😭
Thanks a lot
Imagine they had a hidden true final arc after the war with god and it is future saitama coming back, now having grown insanely powerful, he wants to make everyone else from the good timeline feel the pain and unfairness he felt from the original timeline.
But a more likely scenario is that all of this chapter 166-168 stuff comes into play in the god arc or doesn’t come onto play at all (I hope it does)
Are we sure we’re talking about “Saitama” when you said “make everyone feel the pain he felt”? How do you guys manage to think of such utter garbage?
The fact that saitama returned back to his nerfed form was necessary because at this rate he might have obliterated the entire solar system with an accidental fart after a few tacos. But well, this still doesnt change the fact that Saitama can instantly grow to universal threat within nano seconds... and he still invincible anyway.
I’m reading it right now. Man Genos still can’t keep it down to 20 words or less lol
Overall I think the webcomic version of this part of the arc was better. A lot of things were left out like Fubuki vs Psykos, Garou vs the S class, Saitama's "But you can never defeat me" line and Bang beating Garou out of his monster armor for example.
The manga has better artwork and better fights but I need more than flashy battles, the narrative that backs up the fights makes the fights truly special and I felt like it was all a lot weaker in the manga version. A disappointing conclusion to an otherwise amazing arc.
True plus zombie man wanting to remove his limiter like Saitama did his
@@alsimmonshellspawn6021 I can't believe Murata tossed out the Fubuki vs Psykos fight and threw away the opportunity for himself to draw them both a bunch more given that he includes Fubuki on so many covers he obviously likes drawing her.
So many mystery in here
Tbh, this was nice and all, but I realllllllly miss some of the original dialog from the Web comic. The exchange of ideals really hit home in the web comic while the manga focused of the exchange of blows with emotional weight (i.e. Genos dying].
Not all is lost, honestly. I rather like this one as well, as it is a different path for Garou moving forward.
In the Webnovel, Garou's spirit was utterly crushed; he was faced with Saitama, a being who he could never overcome, thus his aspirations would never come to fruition.
In the manga, he was defeated, but not utterly crushed. He knew he was defeated, but he wasn't utterly crushed with no path forward in his mind. He himself asked Saitama whether Saitama was confident enough to let him go. Beyond that point of time, being good or evil is now up to him. He has a freedom of choice, now, compared to the Webnovel, where he had no choice--either comply or get crushed. Here, his action would be more genuine moving forward if he were to do good. It adds up with the fact that he was constantly having inner-conflict while/after fighting with his former master, Bang, and while thinking of Tareo (Tereo?), and was constantly saving people here and there before and during his fight with Saitama. It's arguably a better story-writing compared to the Webnovel, where he wanted to become the ultimate evil, so he had no qualms with crushing everyone. In the Manga, despite wanting to become the ultimate evil, he still endeavoured to save people--this action itself has been the underlying goal of his, anyways, which makes his character all the more reasonable. Goes to show that he still had his humanity intact before God imparted a small portion of his power to Garou in order to turn him into his Avatar.
But, yeah, I also, somewhat, miss the utter badassery from Saitama as he talked with Garou at the end in the Webnovel.
@@entitylxx9528 na I agree with op. This only keeps the status quo.
@@entitylxx9528 damn bro, very well said.
Now Blast is known for flashing while Flashy Flash is fully clothed.
Hahaha I think they thought it was Blast who was naked😆
I mean blast NEED to show up, he was teleporting back to earth after all
U made me love opm. Good luck and keep the bangers coming!
It's kinda heartbreaking moment to see Garou smile to Tareo and disappear after
Garou energy probably the reason genos core keep recording coz of its nuc energy it powered it.
Ay you might have a point on that
7 years boys I was a freshman in college wow.. time flies..
genos is really amazed because he sees that saitama appreciates him so much
I'm pretty sure Saitama know he came back from the future but he doesn't wanna everyone to recognize that he knew ( that's why he's kinda said he didn't have a chance to thanks Garou yet ) so he's just pretend that he didn't even listen to Genos explanation.... .... Of course just like deep sea king arc he stand up and pretend everything wasn't his credit, that's why i love the character of Saitama and this story over all.
I can’t believe that Blast and or his team don’t know what was going on with Saitama and the time travel. Im really hyped to find out what blast has to say.
Yeah, perhaps this is against the rules of the multiverse or something
Metal knight had probably intended on just nuking the area after the heroes all failed, thats why he came with equipment for nuclear radiation.
For me, this episode of manga was really disappointing. Many things had lesser impact than web comic. Some future plots were cut (unless a lot of mental gymnastics will be made). And most important, making Saitama and especially Garou forget what happened, reverse character development they both went through. For me, it made the last few chapters feel like Naturo filler more than One Punch Man.
Tho next chapter will be the last chapter of this arc, so there is STILL a small chance, that the author will fix it, but it's unlikely.
Also, I’ve no idea why Amai Mask, Zombieman and Flashy Flash will go after him now. I’ve deeply desired to see those but ONE pulled a middle finger on us. I really… wished that Saitama would finally get some acknowledgement but they didn’t even see them fight….
@@mondiramaji791 I can still imagine Flashy Flash going after Saitama. After all, Saitama was dodging his attacks, stopped his sword with fingers and was able to follow him when he tried to run away. But others make no sense right now.
Nobody is talking about the line of Saitama when he landed on Jupiter's moon. "Feeling of deja vu". That was a huge hint for the time travel storyline. Now we need to pay attention..
Wow
Genos has also forgotten
NO MORE THAN 20 WORDS
OR LESS
11:04 lol you can see saitama looking up indicating Garou just jumped away
*Garou's best punishment would be making an Apartment and Supermarket for Saitama.*
Man those guys that translate the manga to english are the real hero association.
they missed comedic points webcomic has, actual character development for garo, bang scolding garo which i think was really important, like, to me it is disappointing , and the whole saitama vs garo that lead into this and got redrawn?
OPM season 2 ended on OPM chapter 84. Now, there are more than double chapter released in manga. I wish instead of two different seasons, Madhouse create one big season to complete whole monster association arc.
How do you guys feel about how the manga went about things compared to the webcomic, i feel in some ways i would have preferred if the manga stuck closer to the webcomic events or atleast didnt remove stuff like garou vs all the s class, im also never a fan of timelines and timetravelling, as now there is effectively a timeline where everyone died and everything was left destroyed, and everyone still alive other then saitama is still in that timeline, right?
Webcomic was much better.
I really wished gauro atleast went on a rant about saitama and his strength to be able to atleast warrent zombie, amai mask, and flashy flash that he’s the true defeated of him prior to the god shit; probably starting with something like “it was you wasn’t it”. Saitama could’ve easily deflected it saying “what no it wasn’t me, but zombieman and amai mask can see through the lies, while everyone else can get on the band wagon of gauro was tired out first, could’ve been an easy layup for setting up more plot lines from the webcomic cuz I really want the amai mask art to play out how it did cuz I enjoy that one a lot, but hey, this was still satisfying enough and a great 7 years of one punch goat, can’t wait to see what’s next
200k😱😱, I swear, it feels like you had 30k a couple weeks ago
11:25 "I think they're gonna come together and Bang..."
The only thing im dissappointed about the manga that the Webcomic did better was Saitama talk no jutsu speech with Garou where he says the YOU WILL NEVER DEFEAT ME line and none of the S class or even saitama himself so him beat Garou except Genos
This just confirms that there is a 2nd timeline with Future Garou’s spirit seeing Tareo. And the fact that Genos explaining to Saitama about what just happened only to have it get ignored is a slap in the readers face with the authors telling us to just forget about it. Confirming that the last 4-chapters was an asspull since ONE and MURATA tried to have their cake and eat it too but knew they couldn’t continue the story otherwise. No explanation, just a brief mention of the 2nd core and that’s it.
Yup it’s been confirmed that their are alternate timelines and not just parallel universes.
@@SSJBlueVegito so many people tried to argue that there is still just one timeline and that the original was deleted or they somehow merged when OG Saitama arrived to punch Cosmic Garou. They just don’t want to admit that this was a cop-out and just shows the Monster Arc didn’t need to be 6-years long since no other villain besides Boros will ever be as hyped until Saitama fights God.
@@filesarchive9488 I completely agree with everything you said.
First: it confirms that there's ONE Alternate Timeline.
Second: This is not an Asspull or anything like that. It was, however, fanservice. We've already seen space manipulation, and time and space are linked. It actually shows that time travel WILL NOT save the day in the future, by showing how it works in this universe
@@randomcatname7792 I respectfully disagree with your second statement. Because it was never hinted that Garou was capable of doing this until the one chapter in 168. Anything before that you can’t use as a reference for foreshadowing which is why a majority of fans call it a convenient plot device to continue the story. We all thought Blast was capable given his abilities to dimension warp. So now we are left with two timelines, the Original and the current one we are in.
Alright, I have a guess on how One is gonna go with the story.
1. Genos core is gonna give data about divine power.
- Either Genos' doctor or any ally is gonna analyze it
-or soemone is gonna steal it and analyze it
2. This would allow them to get a lead to god (who's still sealed) and do something
3. God is gonna break free a little(just like 0.000001% power), the Sclass would be there and there's gonna be a big cool fight.
4. God is gonna get sealed again(or even killed or something, though its unlikely).
5. After sealed god is defeated, the other timeline god is gonna come(since saitama isn't there anymore, blast the rest is probably fail sooner or later).
6. Then saitama vs fully free god is gonna happen.
This would allow the Sclass(heroes) to have a cool scene and relevance since saitama is probably late again. While still giving saitama the big fight.
I'm a 70% sure its gonna happen.....maybe.
Unless One is gonna go with;
1. Sclass learns about reality travel(or other god makes a portal for them to enter cause he got plans), goes to other timeline. Helps other blast to fully seal other god.
2. Then they go back to main timeline, but other god helps main god break free before other god gets sealed.
3. Main god breakes free, then fights saitama.
This is nothing but pure Epicness at its finest
You know, I kinda don't like time travel in my stories, always feels cheap and confusing, add multiverse stuff on top and it's just a mess. I know that the story needed to time travel to fix things after Garou killed everyone but I still don't really like it very much. On the bright side, we got to see one of the craziest fight in shonen history! The only other fight this crazy was Arthur vs Dragon from Fire Force, so at the end of the day I am satisfied.
Shonen? Which one? OPM is seinen
@@Dr._Atom Battle Manga, you know what I meant! XD
King saving Garou was unexpected to say the least. Well I can't wait for Job Hunter Garou arc next!
Poor Blast, the last human in the abandoned time line
He can jump between dimensions so he'll be fine
You forgot Saitama standing there naked
@@kennethsalido5785 if that timeline is still existing, maybe that saitama will join blast and his crew
The reason why the punch reversed causality is because saitama was travelling backwards in time while punching garou. Thats it.
Season 3 gonna be the most insane season of all time in any anime
In 2025
Season 3 will only feature Orochi.
OPM anime will reach this. I think 3000
This won't be in season 3 though. Maybe season 4
@@TheStupidBird season 3 with 20 episodes and a movie
zhonin that core was able to create a blast strong enough to hold it's own against psycrochi and your suprised it can record things? seriously?
Can’t wait for neo heroes arc
The Ancinent One suddenly being used is WAY too fitting here
I hated it. Wish they’d leave time travel out of it, what a sbame
ahhhhh dang i especially cant wait for the "pets" saitama will have very soon, guess monaco might become one of the "pets" considering the contributions she gave to saitama, im just hoping she doesnt die soon, i loved her dynamic with flashy flash and saitama
Considering Saitama doesn't remember the time travel and has no memory of it, there is a possibility or a hint of how he got his overwhelming power as well. It could be a different timeline Saitama who merged with the current timeline Saitama who was doing his 10km run, 100 pushup, and 100 squats regime.
That is why he only remembers the regime before the merging for his overwhelming power.
In the chapter, Genos states that "A new you separated from the original you at the start of your time travel, and merged with you the you of this timeline when the movement was completed". Which means there are two Saitama's in two timelines.
The current timeline Saitama is twice powerful (merged one), if not more, than the Saitama giving the serious punch for the first time to Cosmic Garou on earth (when Blast and his team teleports them in space)
Murata has already shown that Saitama doesn't follow the laws of physics, maybe Saitama is a being who comes from the future to defeat overwhelming power but loses his memory in the process, while getting more powerful in the main timeline.
Dr kuseno would want to record genos's battle data to sort out upgrades so recording the info makes sense some what
First, I want to say thank you 10000 times to Murata for being an amazing human being at handling my favorite series all these years. Now we have our second arc completely done after the alien-invasion arc. Now please hear what I have on my mind. You can hate me all you want if it against your own opinion. First, time travel is pretty cliche and that's the last thing I wanna see in OPM and it did happened. Can we come up with some other way? I really wish chapter 168 gets a redraw and it didn't happen. Truly a disappointment.
We lost a bunch of great moments from the webcomic such as the table flip being witnessed by Zombieman, although that's OK it happens in IO because it's basically a planet-desctruction level so nobody will have a chance to witness it.
Not only he lost his memories due to travel backwards in time, Saitama didn't even try to convince others that he's the one that put Garou in his place. Flashy Flash said it was a naked figure that took him out with a one punch and then he flew away. For a smart person as he is, he should be remember a person that can took monsters with just a raw single attack, I mean he was with Saitama all the time in the underground. But instead he said maybe it was Blast. What, butthurt because he was outclassed by Blast? I think he's gonna simping for Blast now. The same for Saitama, he just had to running his mouth and mentioned Blast. Of course everyone will agreed if it was Blast who defeated Garou without give it a second thought. Not only that, where is the moment when he say "But you will never defeat me" in front of Garou? Just like it says in the panel "Reputation damaged", everything is damaged. Now how is he going to get promoted to class A without doing anything (in other's perspective)? How and for what reason Flashy Flash going to approach Saitama now to ask him to become his disciple?
The point of Garou's hero hunting is for planting the seed of fears of him to everyone. Look what happened now, it's the opposite. They only felt the fear in a minute and proceed to beat him up. Instead of the heroes that got beaten up so bad, it's Garou that got beaten up by some dirty punks even though it felt like nothing to him. Where is the fear now? The heroes should be suffers and thinking about changing a carrer from this event but no. The fear that Garou gives should have a big impact to society so much to the point it will reduce the number of heroes. This could lead to Neo Heroes arc at some point. I prefer Garou to be seen as a threat to humanity and lose with shame because of Saitama because that's just how things should have been. I didn't blame Garou for not fighting back when those punks touch him because I think it's the effect of his ability travel back in time. What I really want is, the both sides got hurt so bad. The heroes suffers from the fear that Garou gaves and Garou suffers from his dream being crushed by Saitama and how powerless he is in front of him. But this is what we got, I think I'm just gonna have to live with it. I've never show my happiness and dissatisfaction for a chapter before and this is going to be the first one. I'm sorry, but chapter 168 (starts from page 55) and chapter 169 was a so fucking bad.
The root of this problem is because of that time travel shit. Really ONE, MCU all over again? Endgame was the only reason I stopped watching a fiction movie anymore, it's just hearing "time travel" makes my blood boils and my hate just grow at an unexpected rate. When there is something just happened to be in a broken state, do you really have to use "space and time" to fix it or just live with it? Just accept it and move forward for the love of God
@Pink Joji thank you for making me thinking I'm not alone
@Pink Joji what do you think about chapter 170?
@Pink Joji LOL! You think so, too? For me, this series starts to going down hill since chapter 169. You wanna know what I think about these two chapters? I don't know man, these last two chapters are just surely rushed writings. They call it "conclusion" for this arc yet they only show us a normal conversation between Bang and Garou. It left us so many question such as: how did Garou lose his monster shell? Did he peel it off from his body? He said he remember fought Blast? That timeline didn't even exist yet because of that fucking travel, how can he know that? He said he wants Bang to arrange a fighting contest for him and out of all people he fought, only Saitama that able to give him the hard fight yet he mentioned him in the last and even almost forgot his name, that's way too disrespectful. What's more? Oh, he said he'd like to try another way to reach some sort of awakening without having to turn him into a monster, that's a good thing and at the same time, did he implying he lose all the fight experiences he got before? Come on, dude is already above dragon even before he received god's power and now he look like when he still at season 2. What's more? Now he wants to be a hero? As Bang's replacement? Wow, where's all that resolve he had before to becoming his own version of "evil"? Are we gonna see him playing around with a bunch of heroes now? It's really laughable how the vast majority are just agreed to it and won't bother to say their own opinion about it. It's also funny how they speak their mind about the table converstation was shit for chapter 164 before it got redrawn and now they didn't say anything about how badly written these two chapter are. Honestly, it's a dogshit writing for me. I'd rather not see Garou for this chapter and just let him absent for a while. They should have just give us the panel when Garou at the waterfall and that's it. This chapter should have been focus about the aftermath of MA. How all the heroes doing after suffered serious injury and whatsover. The only good thing about this chapter is just about that Sentai artist that reminds him of his mother and S3 announcement
@Pink Joji too bad, I got blocked permanent. You know...
@Pink Joji tried. Didn't work
