I love it when there's a new update on the opal centre. It's going to be great and I can't wait to visit the Ridge once again.

Great video Russell with excellent commentary from Jenni. I have great admiration for those of you at the AOC who have stuck with this huge project for sooo many years and also come up with some rewarding fundraising ideas. Congratulations for your hard work and tenacity.

My notifications did not come. This video is very lengthy. If my credit on phone runs out, I'll top it up tomorrow, but I WILL watch. Been playing with a bi valve fossil. Was temptation thrown to me. By opal person. Had 2 choices. Try grinding to colours. (It has some),, or..... It looks like it's got potential as a gem. I could never do it. Spent almost 20 hours with a broken playing dart. My most brilliant bit of equipment. Long story. The fossil won. Got growth rings on both parts now. The hinge joint is intact! I'm a total novice. Got some gear, some rough and a love of fossils. There was no choice. I'm going to send it back to source, to find out if it is useful for study, at all. Love old fossil rocks. Love opal. Get both, you become very grateful of the gifts that nature created. Had a friend that did a dump sites, at Yowah. Said pick up a couple of rocks, will ya. Don't bring me sand. There was a Yowah nut in it. Too inexperienced to try and cut it.😢 Yet.

Honest answer? I don't know! However, the location of the building is on a very old, very well mined out field. There were a number of old shafts through the excavation site and some older diggings beneath the floor of the hole also. You can see a cross-section of one of the old shafts on the edge of the excavation at 13:34 in this video: ua-cam.com/video/2JN6lUsJu80/v-deo.html There's certainly the potential for opal anywhere on the Three Mile field, but in reality it's a very mined out area after 120 years of eager searching. Thanks for watching!
