What makes the Catnip story even funnier is I've been reading _A Job for a Deathworlder,_ and 3 hours ago I read the chapter where one of the main characters got high on her species' native version of catnip.
For the author of CATNIP - Please continue this story line - I.E., the ambassador discovers the ways of growing more potent catnip (hydroponics, grow lights, selective breeding, etc.) and corners the catnip market.......
The xenos like the doggos. They get stoned on catnip. Wait till they have to fight the cats for it. Of course you can have a conversation with the alien barkeep... as long as you order something.
yhe 2nd story is similar to a tale about 3 new yorkers going to the wild west, after reading about it in the papers, thinking it was like a fist full of dollars or tombstone, and finding out it was closer to little house on the prairie (it was the late 19th century , so i know none of those stories existed, but the sensationalism of the tabloid did)

So, we have found really good Hobbit weed for the Xeno's.
And not by accident either.
First story they should also introduce the ambassador to other forms of mint plants.
For that first story I feel if we gave them cats the xenos would be completely enslaved by them in about 1 and a half months.
The only reason WE haven't been enslaved by cats is because they only wake up so that they can go take a nap. 😆
