Gets more scared for Vic every episode Critics were saying that episode 4 is the major turning point and Colin said that he would be surprised if people love Penguin after what he does at the end of the series😭
The reactions to all reactions has arrived. The Riddler flooding flashback scene from Victor's perspective is so well done. That continuity in storytelling is perfectly executed. Seeing Victor's pain and the PTSD he has due that event with zooming into the actor's inner turmoil is done so well. The ending scene as Victor saves Oswald and getting away parallels to Oswald trying to get away from The Batman and the camera zooming in to the actor's face we this time with Victor as he is riding away is beautifully captured.
Dude Rhenzy Felix is killing this role as Victor. The attention detail with the stutter and the execution is insane. If you notice, Victor's stutter only gets intense when he's under pressure or stress. When he first met Oz, when he meets Sofia in Oz's apartment, when the cop pulls him over, when the waiter asks for his order etc. But when he's talking about his loved ones or something he enjoys, his stutter is almost non existent. Such a small detail, but it's executed so well. Credit to Rhenzy. This whole cast is top tier.
Penguin had to leave Sofia behind. Now she knows he has been working with the Maronis. The trust is over no matter what. Also, if they kill her, he gets the Bliss business and has all the power to destroy the Maronis with the Falcone's muscle. It's the best move... is not gonna work out, but it was the best move
In one episode I went from thinking that Victor was an OK character, to thinking that if anything happens to this kid and he doesn’t make it to the top with Oz, I’m going to absolutely flip out! Rhenzy Feliz is KILLING IT as Victor Aguilar! I especially love that they showed us from his point of view what the bombing of the sea wall looked like. And you can also see why he wants so much more out of life. He saw his father try and play and things fair and just settle for lower class. But Victor is tired of settling for scraps. He wants something more.

It's gonna be sad when Sofia inevitably kills Vic and Penguin winds up getting everything he wanted at the cost of all of his relationships. Also, lmao @ Oz saying he's going to show Sofia that she can trust him only to immediately leave her for dead three minutes later.
Vic isn’t going to die.He will end up living with his girlfriend in California.Somethings going to happen where penguin gives Vic the go head to get out of the life of crime at the end of the show or next movie.Penguin seems to genuinely care about Vic so I can definitely see that happening

The scene at the restaurant really hits that Oz wants to be like that mobster from his neighborhood. In episode one, we get his motivation and goal, and he kills the new boss for mocking that. That final scene of Vic running fown the Maronis and Penguin jumping in saying "We're in a now Vic" reminded me of something of out GTA or something. Lol. I love this show!!!
Fun fact: Bliss is a character from a Robin story. He gives a drug to young people in shows and scarecrow really hates him for it because it causes pleasure instead of fear.
I think also with the Maroni’s they either suspect he killed their guy or they’re just mad that he didn’t return him. But words were spoken and they playback the scene on the preview for next episode.. I think Sofia learns everything!!!
The Andor of the DC universe. Dark, gritty, slow burn, deep look inside the universe from the ground level. Under the radar, slow to catch on, but ultimately the best entry in the universe in decades
The flooding scene hit hard after seeing videos of everybody loosing everything in North Carolina and Florida from Hurricane Helene. I cried a little during that opening and had to pause for a moment after. I live in SC and to have this stuff happen to my neighbors is heartbreaking. This show has been nothing but awesome so far though!
This series is soooo dense, not a single frame is wasted. The characters are so strong, the dialogue, the whole writing is top tier. Even if it's not non stop action, but the dialogues hit so hard. For these first episodes i give it 10/10 , can't fault anything. Hope they keep the quality going forward.
This is just getting better and better 😮 it's mind boggling, I'm hyped for the upcoming things in the series and what's going to happen on The Batman 2 movie.
I think the reasoning for Penguins “love bombing” was intuition. You can see he is picking up on Vic’s doubts and apprehension. I think most of us can tell when someone’s heart isn’t in something fully 🙏
Something this episode made me realize was how Penguin’s and Batman’s goals are philosophically aligned. Maybe this was obvious from the start, but Penguin’s reaction to Vic wanting to leave took me back to Batman saving that man in the subway station. They want to be seen as an inspiration and hope, but their shortsighted actions tell people the exact opposite. Batman was able to acknowledge this hypocrisy by the end of his movie, seeing as Penguin is a villain I doubt he will be able to do the same. If only Vic had come across Batman’s car that night. I mean Batman isn’t going around poking knives into people, but the point still stands 😅 Loving this new Batman universe so much so far
When I was young, working at some service job, some dude suggested I should work for him. “You’ll make $3000 a month. All your dreams will come true.” I’ve always had a hard time understanding that b/c that’s not even 6-figures. If that’s all someone is worth, dream bigger.
Is the kid new actor? He is good and is holding his own beside two amazing actors 17:28 also, this scene is really very cool, we got a look at the more feral, angry, maniacal penguin and I loved it
How in the world did you guys watch it and edit it? The episode came out just under two hours ago. Dang. Either that or I got the times wrong. 9pm EST right?
They're making Oz so damn likeable if not loveable. He's going to have to do something so horrible that we're going to look back on these episodes with disgust if Matt Reeves plans on making him a "villain" in The Batman 2
@@ProjectMathesar I said the same thing! He’s become too loved and we sympathize with him too much now. I think he kills Vic before the end of the series.
@@jdot634Just remember, Oz is a snake. He most definitely will do something utterly brutal by the end of it. Maybe even sacrificing Vic or something. You can't become the kingpin without sinking into the abyss.
Not wanting to create expectations that, in the end, may not prove to be so consistent, but some critics who saw all 8 episodes and presented their review without spoilers, stated that this series establishes the Penguin as the most disgusting and repulsive villain in any cinematographic media.
What I really love its how the actions in The Batman really had consequences in that world, in the Nolan films, after the collapse of the train, it seems they all moved to Chicago, no more Blade Runner vibes (it was supposed to be an inspiration while filming that I recall) and nobody missed the train, not even the Wayne Manor
I dunno, Matt Reeves universe is going to be a serious rival to whatever James Gunn is going to offer. I just finished watching your breakdown and I agree, the world building is pretty awesome. It’s like when they announced the Loki series “why would they do that and think it would be relevant”, but look at what that show turned out to be. Now I’m looking at Oz (can’t bring myself to call him Penguin lol) and I’m seeing such a build up to what Batman is going to face now in Gotham. Incredible. Again, I really look forward to this rewatching with you guys. Thanks 🙏🏽 Just a thought…I think the one way we will hate Oz is if he sets up Vic to take a fall for Oz’s rise. We saw how quickly he just left Sofia hanging, I don’t think I could forgive him if he sets up Vic to either take a fall or to die in the end. We’ll see.
Just finished Ep 3. Man, this is the best show on TV currently. I NEVER expected anything this gritty and hardcore. Finally, a TV show that people want to see, instead of a show pushing agendas!
Due to the consequences of the riddle and the help of Falcone's mafia, who, by placing bombs in different areas of the city, will lead to Victor's house and leave him an orphan. And for lack of a riddler's own life. It was seen again in the consequences of the events, that he would be plunged into the world of crime. And it was seriously devastating!!!😭 Seriously, they leave a really good context. I love the penguin and that makes me appreciate and value him more for how he sees life.
15:53 Coy and Greg, Collin Farrell said in an interview that after he read the script for the show, he’d be surprised if people still like the Penguin by the end of the show. So what I think could happen is that there will be a scenario where Oz is going to have to pick between having the powers he’s always wanted in Gotham, or saving Vic or he’s gonna kill Vic to complete his goal. It’s really gonna suck if Vic dies and I hope I’m wrong 🙏
BUT VIC "you gotta think on your feet you gotta be quick" THATS WHAT OZ TOLD EM TO DO LAST EPISODE. Remember cas he made him lay with the bodies... cmon yall gotta reference that. Give Vic his credit not the dirty cop. And it seems like Sofia isnt the hangman judging off her convo with Oz. I bet it was her dad since he STRNGLED CAT WOMANS MOM. And Oz said she did it so that her dad wouldnt go to jail.👀
Oz betrays Vic and gets him killed in order to save his own ass by the finale. That's the only way we don't come out of this show cheering Penguin on going into The Batman 2
@@andothersuchnonsense2685 Ya never know. Penguin has said repeatedly he sees something more in Vic and that he has fight in him. Could be Vic just doesn't realize it yet. everyone in this show is phenomenal in their own ways but good grief has it made me a HUGE fan of Cristin Milioti. Her portrayal of Sofia is terrifying and so gooooooood.
I haven’t felt this way about a show since daredevil. And before that it was breaking bad, and before that it was dexter and sapranos. It’s quickly reaching that level
this show is by far the best thing on the small screen at this time. This to me is what i expected MCU to do after wandavision, building, instead MCU lost it, this is another level tbh. So glad HBO got this and took the risk, both leads are just amazing and def award level.
I saw the last name Bloom and thought Dr. Bloom, from when Greg Capullo and Scott Snyder were doing the Batman books. Realistically I feel with yet ANOTHER "grounded and realistic" take on The Goddamn Batman, Scarecrow is the best choice, insofar as seducing what villain is related to psychoactive drugs dispensed at Arkham.....

That final scene of Vic running fown the Maronis and Penguin jumping in saying "We're in a now Vic" reminded me of something of out GTA or something. Lol. I love this show!!!
Morty when he accepts that his stuck on ricks adventures
Fun fact: Bliss is a character from a Robin story. He gives a drug to young people in shows and scarecrow really hates him for it because it causes pleasure instead of fear.
The way the drug is described has me thinking Mad Hatter. Makes you submissive… lose free will… mind control? Hmm…
Would love to see Reeves's take on Mad Hatter. That character is underrated imo
The bathroom scene was poetry. Sound like he was preaching to me
I think also with the Maroni’s they either suspect he killed their guy or they’re just mad that he didn’t return him. But words were spoken and they playback the scene on the preview for next episode.. I think Sofia learns everything!!!
The dining room scene was great , him building Vic Up becoming a father figure. Beautiful show
The Andor of the DC universe.
Just hoping Sofia doesn't die because i know Vic is 100% dying by the end of all of this.
im guessing she most likely ends up back in arkham
You guys set a record for wrong or bad predictions this episode lmao
3:14 what did bro just cast a spell ? 😂😂😂😂
That was hilarious 😂😂
This show is legit some of the best tv I’ve watched ever! 3/3 so far 🔥😮💨
This is just getting better and better 😮 it's mind boggling, I'm hyped for the upcoming things in the series and what's going to happen on The Batman 2 movie.
Damn. That was a whole tsunami happened there .In batman , that was like a small flood
X-Men 97 and the Penguin are the best shows of 2024 by far.
Don't leave out Invincible
I think the reasoning for Penguins “love bombing” was intuition.
You can see he is picking up on Vic’s doubts and apprehension.
I think most of us can tell when someone’s heart isn’t in something fully 🙏
Saw the episode 4 preview on UA-cam, so went to ur channel and found episode 3 just being uploaded 😁
oh man cant wait for next week!
emmys around the board, Great acting!
This is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen .
I mean Batman isn’t going around poking knives into people, but the point still stands 😅 Loving this new Batman universe so much so far
where did coy get that team battinson shirt? love it
When I was young, working at some service job, some dude suggested I should work for him. “You’ll make $3000 a month. All your dreams will come true.” I’ve always had a hard time understanding that b/c that’s not even 6-figures. If that’s all someone is worth, dream bigger.
YES!!!! Been waiting for you guys
thanks forr waiting!
If Collin doesn't get the Emmy, nothing will make sense in the world.
Is the kid new actor? He is good and is holding his own beside two amazing actors
17:28 also, this scene is really very cool, we got a look at the more feral, angry, maniacal penguin and I loved it
He played Alex in the marvel show Runaways.
Voice of Camilo Madrigal in Encanto also
I appreciate that you guys take the time and effort to release a reaction video so quickly and on the free platform!. Respect.
I think Al, Luca, or Carmine is the Hangman and Sofia took the fall. Honestly, I'm leaning more towards Al.
This is the best television gonna get, my dudes.
I still only see the Penguin and not one ounce of Colin Farell.. Truly a masterclass of acting by all those involved...
Can't wait for the flashbacks episode next week
How in the world did you guys watch it and edit it? The episode came out just under two hours ago. Dang. Either that or I got the times wrong. 9pm EST right?
magic touch
@@ReelRejects Nice! ^_^
I don't mind if batman doesn't show up in the show but with this new drug, he's gotta catch on and do something.
They're making Oz so damn likeable if not loveable. He's going to have to do something so horrible that we're going to look back on these episodes with disgust if Matt Reeves plans on making him a "villain" in The Batman 2
Maybe he turns Vic into Zasz.
@@bobstacks8405 that’s a fact!
Not wanting to create expectations that, in the end, may not prove to be so consistent, but some critics who saw all 8 episodes and presented their review without spoilers, stated that this series establishes the Penguin as the most disgusting and repulsive villain in any cinematographic media.
Colin Farrell's a f****** fantastic actor
The dinner scene was soooo fucking good. Excellent episode
I think he had to leave her because she was gonna figure out he was working with the other family. She was already having trust issues
Thanks 🙏🏽
Just a thought…I think the one way we will hate Oz is if he sets up Vic to take a fall for Oz’s rise. We saw how quickly he just left Sofia hanging, I don’t think I could forgive him if he sets up Vic to either take a fall or to die in the end. We’ll see.
The Brave and The Bold is a complete departure from this, I’m confident both can excel.
So many possibilities. But maybe he turns Vic into Zasz, or kills Vic's girlfriend.
I said it before I'll say it again (because they need to see it). Greg and Coy, you're the best reaction duo
Or Vic becomes Zasz. And Vic becomes Penguin's best Hitman.
@@gabrielcarrasco9078 The stuttering kid who cries a lot is probably not gonna become a knife welding psycho in the next few episodes.
Lfg @@gabrielcarrasco9078
@@andothersuchnonsense2685 he might
@@andothersuchnonsense2685 Ya never know. Penguin has said repeatedly he sees something more in Vic and that he has fight in him. Could be Vic just doesn't realize it yet. But now he's gotten his first kill and it could snowball from there. Not saying it will ofc just saying the theory isn't totally impossible
I like how your guys first thought when they were going to the lab was poison ivy or scarecrow. Mine was bane, I thought it was going to introduce venom as a street drug. But alternatively bliss could be a prelude to venom, once it hits the streets someone alters it.
Just finished watching the episode and went right away to see your reaction
I liked Sofia's character in Batman the long Halloween and Dark Victory. Liked her in Gotham, but love Millioti's performance in this.
This might be the best tv show I’ve seen 3 episodes in. Even rivalling Breaking Bad and True Detective
This show keeps getting better every second of every episode. Truly amazing television. It’s stuff like this that makes me be happy to be alive in these times. 0:01
everyone in this show is phenomenal in their own ways but good grief has it made me a HUGE fan of Cristin Milioti. Her portrayal of Sofia is terrifying and so gooooooood.
I haven’t felt this way about a show since daredevil. And before that it was breaking bad, and before that it was dexter and sapranos. It’s quickly reaching that level
lol.. Plenty of other shows on those levels. Dexter isn’t on this level
@@bobbyfischer9927 seasons 2,4,6 are on that level bro. You can like that or not but it’s supported by the ratings.
This series is too good! I was waiting for the reaction to come out. Keep up the good work!
this show is by far the best thing on the small screen at this time. This to me is what i expected MCU to do after wandavision, building, instead MCU lost it, this is another level tbh. So glad HBO got this and took the risk, both leads are just amazing and def award level.
I wouldn’t be opposed to a realistic poison ivy
I mean before she becomes Ivy she’s just a plant expert, nothing that far fetched
I can fix Sofia
9:48 bless you Coy 😊
Bless you for blessing Coy 😁
