    Thank you for sharing,we placed 3 grape vines last fall,this year there's a lot of grapes on vine. Should I remove them? Also could you please do a video on neem trees. Thanks again. Hoping to come get some trees from you this fall.

    You have plenty of fertilizer around your grape plant. Chicken poop. You mat not realize it but you have a steady source of natural fertilizer.

      Chicken poop needs to set for six months before putting it on your plants.

    I don’t have a yard. Can you grow fruiting grape vines on a patio? And if so, how & how long will they live and fruit that way?

    Thank you for the info. I have a quick question. I’m planting my grapevine tomorrow, do I need a post like you have and string? How do I set that up for the grapevine to travel?

    • @qctropicals
      @qctropicals  3 місяці тому

      not right now but eventually you may. Otherwise it will creep on the ground

    My grapevine has black rot on the leaves. Like rust spots. Any suggestion.

      Your comment is 11 days old so I hope you took quick action. Airborne spores thrive in dense moist crowded thickets of leaves. Remove spotted leaves and throw them away. Hard prune your canopy to allow air to flow through and so your clusters receive dappled sunlight. Keep enough leaves above the clusters for photosynthesis and to provide shade during heat waves. Apply an organic copper fungicide and reapply every 4-7 days. Hope all is well.

    Why do you let it grow and not prune? Just curious

    My neighbor is giving us her grapevine. It’s about 8 years old. We have to dig it up and plant it in our yard. It’s going to be getting hot soon. Any advice to help the plant with the stress of the move?

    • @qctropicals
      @qctropicals  Рік тому +2

      any possible way you can wait until winter? If not, dig up as much rootball as possible and prune the vine at least 50%. Once transplanted, full shade for this summer.

    Thanks for letting me know about this video, it was very helpful! I think my problem is I under watered my grapes because I was so worried about over watering. I also wasn't consistent with watering. I only have a couple of very small areas in my yard to grow anything, so it's been tough for all my plants. I'm going to try grapes once more with your advice. Thanks again!
