This raw audio and video content is from the TapeApe, with production courtesy of Acoustiking.
Interesting Fact: The Digital Audio Tape of TapeApe's recording that night was used in the final mix for the official "Live At The Knitting Factory" CD, as those listed on the release fucked up the audio. Next time give some credit instead of just covering your ass, Chip.
Both TapeApe and Acoustiking gave of themselves quite a bit, and their dedication is more integral to the history of amorican music as each year fades on.
I was the house engineer that night, and I remember there being a lot of drama backstage regarding the recording rig. I had no idea that it played out this way (TapeApe's recording being used in the final product). It's a testament to NiteBob's absolutely stellar FOH mix - living legend!
Thank you! This is 13 years wondering what this show looked like. Been playing the live album for years. So great.
Mike Farris did Forgiven Song with Rich at Arlene’s Grocery. Incredible sounding harmonies. It got pulled? Oh man!!!
I was at this show! Wow!
I was there,great show !!!!
I was waiting for this live video!
Bill Dubrow!
Here's the thing, I don't think Rich's voice is very strong by itself. But he's a really talented musician and songwriter. Still a good show, though, despite the technical difficulties.
Rich is the Mick Jagger of the Crowes. With Chris he's great just like Mick with Keith. But by himself he's shite.
Have you listened to his solo albums? Perhaps they require a little bit listening, but at least the last two were brilliant. Especially the last one. ✌️
