Matt, I got a heck of a surprise today. I'm traveling east on 10, minding my own business and in a zone. I glance to my right, and there is the Bunker Branding Building. This was about the furthest thing from my mind, but had to reroute and stop in. Thank you for being such an advocate for the 2A. I'm also a Cummins transplant fan, so I love all your content, my friend. Thank you for all you do and promote. Steve
A water tank with a solar pump down at the goat pen might save some headaches something like a 275 gallon cube. You anky need to fill it when it gets down to almost empty.
Use a gravity siphon! Trench by the house, as soon as the goats water goes below a certain level, it is topped up by the main source using gravity and clever brain to adjust your levels
Glad I’m not the only one who has put a voice to each one of my dogs😂 my newest dog is a Jack Russell Dachshund mix and is a bundle of energy. My family gave her a lisp and super high pitched energetic voice lol.

- protecting the hosepipe from the Texas sun - will help longevity - that combined with being driven over... good work Matt.... - Thanks for showing - just me - all your secrets (won't tell). ha ha... Bullwhip has the integrated handle (if the handle is flexible ?? a type of snake whip ??) , stockwhip handle is separate (separable.. replaceable and length can be tuned to user preference) Concreting - a broom finish hides a multitudes of "sins".. lol..
yes, exactly the bull whip has the integrated handle, the stock whip has the long handle that is made separately from the rest of the whip, and the snake whip essentially doesn't have a handle, making them very compact.
they way my dad and grandpa would fix me breaking stuff was to teach me how to make them myself and i buy the parts that way i appreciate it more and learn the value plus its good way to find hobbies
To fix the Billy problem. He has two (probably large) eggs hanging from his rear end. They're encased in a large leathery bag. Those must be removed. It will tone him down alot. 😂
Me and dad spent a whole summer with a mixer. He ordered river wash, sand, and bought straight concrete bags all by the truckload. We spent every evening all summer mixing and pouring concrete for our steps. I mean their big steps (8’ wide, 24” runs, about 50 steps total). Concrete takes a lot of effort, take what you think then multiply by 3
Maybe if you show the mean goat that new whip you got, he'll stop trying to challenge you. 😉 Nice work on the concrete. I was given an old mixer from the neighbor and it made it so much easier.
Matt! You need a 1000 yard range somewhere on the property and you might want to check out Buffalo Range in Illinois. Might give you some terrific ideas!!

Problem with burying the hose is you can’t drain it if the temperature drops under 32 degrees, it will freeze. Temporarily I would have run the hose through pvc lay across the roadway so vehicles don’t ruin the hose, then you can drain the hose.
Hey Matt, I raise goats also, and the buck will eventually get more aggressive. One rule we use is to NOT touch his head or horns unless absolutely necessary. That's the business end. You will have to show your dominance with him now though, and make him keep his distance from you and your family. The way I do it, is to flip him on his side, put your knee in his shoulder and tuck his head against his top side by your knee and hold it there til you feel his tenseness release. He will eventually give up, and once you have done that, you can let him up. He may try to test you again, but be persistent, and do the same thing each time til he decides he won't win, then he will keep his distance. These boer goats can get a couple hundred pounds and they can hurt you if you don't get your bluff in early. Hope this helps!
Matt you should get some gold fish in the goats Water bin suppose to keep the alge from forming not sure how they deal with the cold but I know I've always seen cattle farmers and people with a full stable of horses have gold fish in the water bin to keep alge growth down and the goat wanting to head butt idk if it will help but have him neutered might take away from him trying to be the dominant animal in the pen
I swear that half of this video was Matt going, "hey, this one if for my female fans, I am going to do sweaty work with my shirt off!" the rest of the video was great too. we saw matt learn how Concrete work is not as easy as it looks, we saw matt help out a fellow youtuber by showing off those whips, we saw the goats and Demo, and we saw Matt playing with an RC truck. this is all the kind of stuff matt used to post in the Off the Ranch. I love the abandoned resort stuff too, but this was cool.
Or work smarter not harder and buy gloves. What my dad taught me about 50 years ago son. Piles of cash tend to deplete common sense. Hey! I don't make the rules.
You should have put a strip of expansion material between the two concrete slabs to help keep it from expanding into each other and cracking up. You can use a 1"x4" piece of redwood or regular expansion material. Something to keep in mind for the next time.
I used to flip my goats over on their backs with legs up in the air when they would get rowdy. After a few seconds they calm down and decide that they don't like trying to be incharge.
I love how well the editor does the audio for these videos. It's clean and flat as it should be all the way. The music parts are also really smooth and not overpowering :D
I loved the video. I learned a couple things. See, the ones you don't think are good, are the ones that can really train someone who hasn't done the concrete in such a long time. Thanks Matt.
put a toilet float valve on the goat water tank to automatically keep it full but drill a few very small holes around the bottom so water leaks out at a slow rate it will keep the water fresh and cause lots of food for the goats to naturally grow around the water tank
I recommend Traxxas for his RC needs. They're a little expensive, but they sale upgrades for the cars. They make aluminum aftermarket parts for most everything on the cars. Light kits, lift kits, bigger tires, etc. Pretty much everything you need to beef up an RC car.
Matt , that’s a really nice Rc I will recommend to look into changing the factory diff fluid. And the oil in the shocks . If you feel like it’s something you don’t have time for , local rc shops will do it . But doing donuts like that with the oem fluid will burn the rear end
I run a concrete pump at extreme pumping out of schertz Texas, if you need a concrete pump out at the abandon resort or any of your other projects! Awesome seeing you work with some concrete!
DAAAAMN MATT! Those shoulders and arms are swole! Good job bud, killin it in the gym. Also yeah, probably should’ve encased the garden hose in some old cattle guard pipe. The ground will compress that hose and you’ll be up with barely a trickle of water.
Concrete doesn't dry. Its a chemical reaction. Doesnt matter how much extra water you have. You can pour concrete under water. Its tricky but can be done.
I used to ‘enjoy’ getting blisters from hard work. Felt like an accomplishment like a show of will power 😤🤣 Said ‘enjoy’ as idk that I’d call it that, more like I’d be proud to have them
I plowed in 600' of 1" black coil pipe to a hydrant at my ibex goat pasture using a subsoiler with a homemade guide tube. It was the best thing I ever did.
Matt I would LOVE to get an RC truck like that. That thing looks fun. And I like how it can actually do burnouts. All the RCs I have are low end and only two of them have bouncy suspensions and the others are suspensionless.
get those pool noodles that are hollow in the middle and cut out 2 pieces that are longer than the horns so you have 1 less problem if the goat has a agressive head bumping approach
Lincoln will have tons of fun with that. I would've gone with traxxas though. Traxxas is made to be easy to fix. Maybe a 4x4 rustler or mini maxx- I have a maxx and it is super tough. Only weak point is the axles- get steel axles.
House foundations are at least a foot thick Matt, walkways & driveways are 6", & you should have floated & vibrated the concrete to get rid of bubbles & broomed the surface for traction
Matt, I work for the post office. I dont know who was supposed to deliver your camera but most of the time when it says it couldnt be delivered regardless of the courier, its because there was no access to your house OR it got missed up at the office. Now I do know that Amazon got stuck on the west side of the mountains in my state for 5 days. So they were all weather delayed. That was due to a large amount of snow fall. So even days after that, many roads were not accessible with our crappy mail trucks. Those things can literally get stuck in mud or snow as little as an inch deep. Now for companies like UPS and Fed Ex, if there is any chance at all they think they cant make it to your house, they wont. They will scan the package as not deliverable. At which point it becomes your job to check on the tracking. And then take the steps to go get your package. At the post office, we have the ability to put a notice in your mailbox. The other companies by law, can not touch the mailbox. But still, if I put a notice in your box and you are one of those people who just randomly or rarely check your mailbox, you only get about a week of us holding it before we sent it back. People need to keep in mind, its only our job to attempt to deliver your package once. If there is an issue with us getting to the drop off point, we will not risk getting stuck or dealing with a dog. Getting stuck or bit, effectively means everyone else doesnt get their package. So if its a choice between you and everyone else, you will lose. I work 14 hour days without breaks or lunch. I do not have an extra 2 minutes to make sure your one package is delivered. Just a heads up.
There is a youtube channel of a guy that uses goats for pack hunting in the mountains. I recall he used spray bottles to deter the aggressive behavior. I also recall him saying that anytime you fight back, it just encourages them to keep fighting.
Hey Matt, thanks a lot for showcasing my whips on your vlog! And thanks everyone that has come to watch my videos and subscribed! It will really help me out! Also the one with the long wooden handle is the stock whip, and the one with the shorter handle is the bull whip!

Just takes my mind off the bull shit and lets me hang out for 20-30 mins.
12:45 You have plenty of flat stones around. Put some down on the next part to fill in the majority of the volume. Leave a perimeter beam of about 3 inches without stone fill and about an inch between the individual stones.
Stock whip is the long handle one , the bull whip is the short handle
Matt, I got a heck of a surprise today. I'm traveling east on 10, minding my own business and in a zone. I glance to my right, and there is the Bunker Branding Building. This was about the furthest thing from my mind, but had to reroute and stop in. Thank you for being such an advocate for the 2A. Arms have always been present in my life and goes back at least to the Revolutionary War. A multi great grandpa fought in the battle of Monmouth NJ, arguably the turning point of the war.
Should put that in a 1.5" sch 40 pvc and then if ever need new just pull it
Glad I’m not the only one who has put a voice to each one of my dogs😂 my newest dog is a Jack Russell Dachshund mix and is a bundle of energy. My family gave her a lisp and super high pitched energetic voice lol.
That's how goats play!!! Push back on his head/horns and engage with him. Call Flair, he'll tell ya. I had goats as well, they like to play and that's how they do it!
Good show Matt, try concrete dry pour next time. I have done a lot of it , works well. Especially on small projects. Thanks for video
The goats, you need stuff for them to play with. Jump and ram stuff.
Matt grows on me more everytime he puts a new video out always keeping it as real as they come and relatable
Build the disc golf course back up at the resort!!
I'm new to it. But it's fun
That is a great idea
- protecting the hosepipe from the Texas sun - will help longevity - that combined with being driven over... good work Matt....
- Thanks for showing - just me - all your secrets (won't tell). ha ha...
Bullwhip has the integrated handle (if the handle is flexible ?? a type of snake whip ??) , stockwhip handle is separate (separable.. replaceable and length can be tuned to user preference)
Concreting - a broom finish hides a multitudes of "sins".. lol..
yes, exactly the bull whip has the integrated handle, the stock whip has the long handle that is made separately from the rest of the whip, and the snake whip essentially doesn't have a handle, making them very compact.
I understand how Lincon " breaks " it after 2 days . He gets them half broken from the start 😂😂😂
they way my dad and grandpa would fix me breaking stuff was to teach me how to make them myself and i buy the parts that way i appreciate it more and learn the value plus its good way to find hobbies
Nice work on the concrete.
I was given an old mixer from the neighbor and it made it so much easier.
hahaha ya he might back down! I know it works with bulls... I can't imagine goats being much different 😁
Matt! You need a 1000 yard range somewhere on the property and you might want to check out Buffalo Range in Illinois. Might give you some terrific ideas!!
When you flipped that tub of old water out did you see the goat? It was as clear as day and i don't even speak goat. "My floors!" 3:28
It's looking all good, Matt! You should have done a dry pour, it's easy fand fast . Works out great. I have done several. Try doing one next time... 😊
10:25 when someone can convince you to stop shooting guns, then you'll be able to convince a goat to stop using it's horns.
Hell you aren’t lazy I’m 60 years old and waiting on carotid artery surgery and I was wiring on my car trailer today, that’s just part of life enjoy doing what you love to do while you still have it.
I always forget how JACKED Matt is until he takes his shirt off, then I’m very quickly reminded
Relax
That's kinda weird bro
I’m just mirin bro. That man got a decade or 2 on me, and I’m tryna look like him
if only he had an only fans...fap...fap...fap
Bromance. LOL
I think it's funny that you still can't believe that some of us just want to watch you working hard...it motivates someone of us more than you will ever think it could. Trust me your content isn't lame, and we want to see everything from start to finish. We can tell you aren't liking some of the content you are putting out...and sometimes that attitude doesn't make me want to watch. Be proud of yourself for everything you do even if it's mowing the grass...if you are having fun doing it we are having fun watching it! Good vibes brother!
I never once noticed anything weird with the audio, if that makes ya feel better! Sounded totally fine the whole video
Problem with burying the hose is you can’t drain it if the temperature drops under 32 degrees, it will freeze. Temporarily I would have run the hose through pvc lay across the roadway so vehicles don’t ruin the hose, then you can drain the hose.
“lazy” is exactly how i would describe matt carriker
I was thinking that if he is lazy then I am damn near catatonic..
Put a few pieces of clean copper fittings and or pipe in the tank it helps prevent algae
I love that you used this video as an opportunity to teach not just entertain
Much respect
How long before we get a Demolition Ranch calender? Mr July 😊
agree
Great Idea!
15:00 That concrete was way too wet lol
And no, too much water on concrete makes it weaker.
it's a food shack for a goat pen, I think a little too much water isnt that bad
I swear that half of this video was Matt going, "hey, this one if for my female fans, I am going to do sweaty work with my shirt off!"
the rest of the video was great too. we saw matt learn how Concrete work is not as easy as it looks, we saw matt help out a fellow youtuber by showing off those whips, we saw the goats and Demo, and we saw Matt playing with an RC truck.
this is all the kind of stuff matt used to post in the Off the Ranch.
I love the abandoned resort stuff too, but this was cool.
Matt, congratulations that’s how you get bigger calluses lol always look at the up sides
Or work smarter not harder and buy gloves. What my dad taught me about 50 years ago son. Piles of cash tend to deplete common sense. Hey! I don't make the rules.
Work smarter use a bobcat and put in conduit so you can easily replace the hose
I’m wondering why he didn’t wear gloves to dig the trench?
I enjoy all of your content. I've never been disappointed on any of your channels!
I’m bad with secrets
Just don’t tell Mere.
Just don't. 😂😂💀
Keep up the good work. My dad and I have been subscribed for a long time and we both love your content . Please keep it up great job man.
I loved the video. I learned a couple things. See, the ones you don't think are good, are the ones that can really train someone who hasn't done the concrete in such a long time. Thanks Matt.
Go to tractor supply and get a float that screws onto the end of hose. That way you don’t have to turn off and on water!
put a toilet float valve on the goat water tank to automatically keep it full but drill a few very small holes around the bottom so water leaks out at a slow rate it will keep the water fresh and cause lots of food for the goats to naturally grow around the water tank
That’s right Matt doing things around the house will show her you are trying to make it work.
Nice to see you putting in a little labor... thanks for showing the process for all wanting to learn.. 😎
Matt get an automatic water filler from tractor supply. So u dnt gotta keep turning the hose on 🤙🏽
I recommend Traxxas for his RC needs.
Mark “hey what camera is that” and mere hitting switches on the low low is the best outro
Don't forget to block the holes around the roof to keep pests from coming in that way.
Great content always positive…. No matter how my days going always a bit happier after watching any of your stuff thanks Matt
I used to ‘enjoy’ getting blisters from hard work. Felt like an accomplishment like a show of will power 😤🤣
Said ‘enjoy’ as idk that I’d call it that, more like I’d be proud to have them
I plowed in 600' of 1" black coil pipe to a hydrant at my ibex goat pasture using a subsoiler with a homemade guide tube. It was the best thing I ever did.
Genuinely loves this video. A little blast from the past
Matt I would LOVE to get an RC truck like that. That thing looks fun. And I like how it can actually do burnouts. All the RCs I have are low end and only two of them have bouncy suspensions and the others are suspensionless.
10+ RC enthusiast\builder here to say... you are babying that Losi, and it's freaking adorable. She can take more... much more. SEND IT!!!
get those pool noodles that are hollow in the middle and cut out 2 pieces that are longer than the horns so you have 1 less problem if the goat has a agressive head bumping approach
Place copper pipe pieces in your animal water trough with gold fish to keep clean. Just easy dyi maintenance.
There is a youtube channel of a guy that uses goats for pack hunting in the mountains. I recall he used spray bottles to deter the aggressive behavior. I also recall him saying that anytime you fight back, it just encourages them to keep fighting.
