I think it was Weihrauch who made a pellet gun that actually had an oil dropper built in to take advantage of dieseling, it automatically put a drop of light oil on the back of the pellet. Cannot recommend doing it with a decent modern air rifle though, it will damage your seals and piston, and as soon as you go supersonic with a pellet (rather than a slug) it makes them ballistically unstable. Loads more power but you can't hit a barn door.

The Gamo swarm magnum 10x Gen3i already produces enough power. No need to diesel that one. Well I would, but you shouldn't.
Dieseling simply means ignition under pressure ..... the flash point is the key here > gasoline vs kerosene . 3 in 1 is a lubricating type oil whereas Hoppes gun oil is a cleaner with a MUCH lower flash point ............ try it !!!
Curious to see the effects of different grain pellets, and different oils. A heavier pellet might allow the pressure to build higher, and give the fuel more time to burn. Also a little piece of advise - put the numbers on the screen when you mention them, and its easier to keep the overview.
You are a really interesting guy. I love it when folk Wade into the comments without knowing a thing about you. It never occurs to them that you’re not playing around with air guns because you have to and have no options but because you enjoy it and choose to. Loved it when you pulled out the AR too. This was a brilliant video. Thanks from across the pond.
I have an oxygen machine I will put into the air resservoir tomorrow. Might blow up oh well If you shot a dart out, do you think the compressive force would have enough energy to ignite it? It would just go around it?
Hey so it’s been a year and I’ve experimented with putting vaporub and a bit of gun powder on the end of a pellets and I don’t have a chronograph so I’d like for you to test it out since it seems like the powder does burn idk what speeds I’m getting
I like using petroleum jelly because you can pre load a whole can of pellets ahead and the jelly stats on as long as it's not super hot out. Even when it's warm enough stays on the pellet to work well.
lol nice one :) and much more scientific than your first attempt ... Now where did i put that old .22 springer of mine ... ??? It could just be my new favourite gun !!
This raises so so many questions. I'm so excited to experiment. What if... you took a round off a 22 long rifle. A beefy fat boy, and put it in :) think the dieseling effect would turn your pellet rifle into a "real" one?
Can you do a review on the daisy powerline 1101S break barrel. It does not come with a scope, so I’d recommend putting the daisy red dot on it. Thanks for the awesome Contant. Love your videos.
Hey Dustin, loved the new video. I've been dieseling my pellet rifle for over a year and havnt seen any damage at all. As for the power, well I shot a 2 foot water moccasin from roughly 20 feet away and blew its head off. I don't shoot any other way anymore. Dwayne
It won't hurt the piston seal as long as you don't put the oil into the compression cylinder. Just put tiny amount of oil on the back of the pellet only, and you'll be good to go. The O-ring breach seal will not be affected at all. No need to worry about that. Those wear out anyway over time, and they are very easy to replace. But even if you do put oil in the compression cylinder and diesel it, and ruin the piston seal or break the spring, those too are easily replaceable. So yeah, just put a tiny bit of oil on the back of the pellet only and the gun will be fine. Or, don't do it at all, get a more powerful pellet rifle. Lol
What I like about your videos is that they are genuine. No over the top editing just a guy going over the fun stuff. Reminds me of old school youtube

Now you're doing it right
I would suggest testing different fuels such as 2 stroke lawn care tool fuel, glow plug engine fuel, diesel truck fuels.
Always haters, i thought it was worthy information. Looking forward to your other stuff. Thanks again.
Thanks for the comment!
Man gun you are using actually looks nice with the stainless steel like finish and doesn't sound bad either, what is it?
Is it really that bad😮
I have an oxygen machine I will put into the air resservoir tomorrow. Might blow up oh well
If you shot a dart out, do you think the compressive force would have enough energy to ignite it? It would just go around it?
Be careful, I have no clue!
I learned a few things here, thanks.
Mountain Dew would probably create higher octane 🧨 💥
Shake it first
How do you feel about .177 BB hand guns
I have one I use for mice and rats.
There are 22 PCPs bow that are shooting around the 80-100ft lb range (designed for shooting air gun slugs)
Doesn't it damage the rifle sir?
I just dont wanna destroying my rifle
I also discovered if you use oil instead of a jelly it doesn’t really damage your seals and lubes the barell instead
you put oil on the pellet skirt or just wet the pelley with oil?
Wouldn't pratrolim jelly on back of pellet work just the same
Try kerosene it makes a really loud bang and makes the rigle kick a little mote then a 22 and on my crono its slinging alloy .177 pellets at 1545 fps
Great video Bro. Do you think it would work with soaking the pellets in silicone gun oil? Stuck in canada at sub 500 fps. Nice grenade btw.
I put some in my gamo magnum, when I was trying to lubricate it, and it seemed to have.
order an upgraded spring.... pretty easy to install yourself. It will pretty double you fps.
Plus jelly has higher energy density than oil.
You dieseled it right this time. Its going supersonic from the crack I hear.
lol nice one :) and much more scientific than your first attempt ... Now where did i put that old .22 springer of mine ... ??? It could just be my new favourite gun !!
Ive found methelatum works, Vicks vapour rub.
However, if I had a .25 I would definitely do all my shots with preprepared pellets.
You can fill the pellet skirt with vaseline as well.
This raises so so many questions. I'm so excited to experiment.
What if... you took a round off a 22 long rifle. A beefy fat boy, and put it in :) think the dieseling effect would turn your pellet rifle into a "real" one?
They dont fit, I tried lol, and its up to the atf, they dont know the difference between a pistol and a rifle.
Would this work on a pcp air gun? Something like a huben gk1 or a bintac t9?
When we were kids we would use moms expenses perfume. Lol
It worked sometimes
Hey I commented on your last video about petroleum jelly and in this video I just released that I have the same air rifle 🤠
I didn't have any on me when I filmed this lol
new idea test rif gasses and even higher octane ones try booze lol
Can you do a review on the daisy powerline 1101S break barrel. It does not come with a scope, so I’d recommend putting the daisy red dot on it. Thanks for the awesome Contant. Love your videos.
I saved a screen shot of it. I'll see what I can do.
Thank you. you’re awesome 😃
Ok as long as accuracy isn't negatively affected, and seals hold up.
I’ve used Vaseline mixed with brake fluid and three pieces of gun powder from a 22 schell
West Virginia people are smart😂
Fuck yeah! I like this shit man!!!! I'm about to have s9me fun.
Be careful, it can hurt your piston seals.
Hey Dustin, loved the new video. I've been dieseling my pellet rifle for over a year and havnt seen any damage at all. As for the power, well I shot a 2 foot water moccasin from roughly 20 feet away and blew its head off. I don't shoot any other way anymore.
Dwayne
Great! I'm glad it's working for you!
yep, ive killed three BIG rattlesnakes with mine.
Fine. This one will subscribe to this channel.
Thanks lol
What do ya think will happen to the o rings that seal the chamber?
Lol
