Secret societies of rich assholes undermining everything for their own gain. Cursed magic swamps. Lazarus leaking into the city's water supply at just enough of a rate to make people slightly predisposed to basic insanity. And Batman's like, "What socioeconomic pressures turns a scientist into a god damn dryad?!?"
To be fair Batman just said "Wake him up". Wouldn't be surprised if Freeze assumed Rais was just some Solomon Grundy variant.

I love this game the creators followed the comics so perfectly unlike most Hollywood movies.. the suit of Mr. Freeze fits his character and condition perfectly and the voice acting is nice fits the character also

That’s one thing I’ve always liked about Victor Frieze. He may be cold and unfeeling, but he’s not impossible to reason with, and he’s not so likely to stab you in the back without good cause.

Victor usually prefers his solitude, usually only steals what he needs, and from what I’ve seen, holds general disdain towards Captain Cold as a lesser welder of ice. But I’d be surprised if they didn’t work together in one of the DC cartoons or comics.

The Arkham games honestly felt like long-form episodes of Batman the Animated Series to me.

That's because Arkham City and Asylum was written by Paul Dini. He is the same guy who worked on Batman: The Animated Series.
It basically was and what a great treat those games were now we just got to wait for Gotham knights and kill the justice league
@@rphlcrvz Yep. Still don't know why they didn't tag him and Bruce Timm to produce and steer the ship for the DCEU. Those two basically did all the major legwork for producing, writing, and guiding the Batman, Batman Beyond, Superman, and Justice League cartoons. The entire DC animated shared universe. That duo should have been at the very least guiding the DC cinematic universe from day one, keeping whoever was directing and writing each film in check if nothing else. It's honestly dumbfounding WB didn't use them as their first choice.
Arkham Batman was a lot more brutal than TAS Batman, as scores of thugs with broken limbs and brain damage can attest.
Imagine he ripped that out and Freeze just flat out died instantly.

In Arkham: Origins Batman is actually kind to him as he at least at first refused to kill anybody but Boyle and put victims in cryostatis which Batman was able to cure them. Batman explicitly griefs what happened to him in a conversation with Alfred and even nicely asks him to stop for Nora's sake assuring him Boyle will face justice.

Also, he has extensive damage to his ears. An unfortunate side effect of his need to live in a subzero environment.
After re playing this game again. I understand why freeze attacked Batman later and wasn't eager to give him the cure to his sickness.
Batman found Victor while he was at his lowest. And rather than simply offering to help Victor in exchange for helping him. Batman attacks him and then uses the possible death of his wife as a bartering chip.
So, when the tables were turned. It seemed rather fitting that Batman got a taste of his own medicine.
Actually Batman tries to ask him in the nicest way possible until Victor flat out refuses. Pushing Batman to extreme measures. Because even at Victor's lowest point his pride matter more than some humility. So unfortunately he got what he deserved.

Still, the fight seemed like it didnt make sense in the story.
Like "Hey mr freeze needs help, if you help him he helps you and progresses the story, oh but suddenly he turns on you and you kick his ass, then he asks you to help him again and you do".
But I give them a pass, they wanted a reason to fight Freeze because it was the best boss fight in the game.
Still stupid, freeze refused so batman had to do that, and batman would save Nora regardless even if freeze gave him the cure, he isn't gonna let anyone die to the joker if he knows that they are currently with the joker

Gotta admit, I do love it whenever Batman and Mr. Freeze team up, I can't quite explain it!
I think it's because Mr Freeze is one of Batman's highly intelligent villains. He isn't really insane or psychotic, but he's highly intelligent.
The writing in the Arkham games really did understand certain key aspects of Batman. Especially in scenes like this, they really got the "Batman Gambit". Manipulating someone by understanding their psychology and how they SHOULD react in a given situation. This was always very important with Batman's rogue gallery. Each of them has a unique fixation and Batman deeply understands how they tick.
(And the games even got his core issue with Joker. That Joker is so chaotic, he is the one person Batman cannot entirely account for - until the final game where, when at the very end, just when it seems like Joker has finally broken Batman, Batman springs his trap - having finally figured out exactly what the Joker wants and what he truly fears.)

Freeze is one of my favorite batman rogue's and I hate that the only cinematic interpretation we got was... so non-indicative of how meaningful the character is supposed to be. Out of all creative director's of batman movies, I think reeves has the best vision to deliver us a really, really solid Mr. Freeze.

For a long time I’ve loved marvel and hated dc but I started playing this game and I got some respect for dc (Batman at least) and I js finished Arkham city today and I had to come back and watch one of my favorite characters of the game again
All that assassin had to do was stay in place.

In the interview tapes, Penguin explains that a man shoved a beer bottle in his eye after he killed his friend for cheating at a game of poker.
The doctor's said it was impossible to remove it without killing him, plus he ended up liking it because it made him unique.
