    Hi, in answer to your question regarding selling your machine - for me as an ex-demo/floor stock no problem so long as the tech doing the work is competent. Your work is really good despite what some people may say (ie using rubber mallet etc). Cheers.

    Nice rundown. It’s unfortunate that the V10 doesn’t also come with a suction-only floorhead. The supplied motorised brush roll floorhead is not suitable for loop pile carpets, whereas a suction-only floorhead is.

    I clean houses with my Dysons. There is always something to dislike about any machine and for me the inability to swap the battery is my main issue. I do not treat them delicately and they have all held up really well. I still have my DC59. The V10 cleans really well and takes care of all the hair and pet dander I have to clean from my client's houses. As far as cordless breaking Dyson....... this is my third one and they've made many models of cordless so I don't think that's going to happen. On full suction I can do a 10x10 carpet before it dies in approximately 10-15 minutes so it requires planning for a whole house clean and on medium or low it goes and goes. Maintenance isn't so bad and I can do it myself on a day I don't have a job to do.

      @@PerformanceReviews Hi, not to be rude, but have you actually used any of the "premium" vacuums you talked about for an extended period of time and compare their quality to the Dyson? Just using vacuums for a week and taking them apart doesn't tell you a whole lot. Fine, it can show you the materials used, but it can't show you how well and easy it is to use. You seem quite biased towards Dyson. In my experience, the v10 was so good, that I stopped using my full size upright and eventually just got rid of it and bought another v10. The v10, and now the v11, are both fantastic machine.

    • @valerijohnson1167
      @valerijohnson1167 5 років тому

      I actually bought the V10 to replace my corded animal allergy. Although it cleaned wonderfully, I used more than my share of explitives because of the darned cord and I had to carry it in separately from my supply bin. I also have trouble with the motor head on the V10 but I have recently purchased a V7 on sale at Costco and, amazingly, the parts fit both. I also like the smaller V7 head for getting around furniture but it is less articulated than the V10. Now I don't have to be as careful about battery life.... and I can carry both in my supply bin.

    I don't have much access to many machines and I won't spend money on something I haven't had in my hand. Most of the other cordless machines have ergonimic issues. The Shark is top heavy and is tiring but it has good motion. However, it doesn't suck. A couple of my clients have one and I always get a lot of debris when I follow it with the Dyson. Hoover is heavy, that is all I remember.

    • @ksull72487

      The best vac I ever owned I paid $8.99 for at savers. One of the first Shark Navigators. Lol. Quality doesn’t exist today. It’s all about profit margin. I deliver the North’s ashore of Chicago. Short story I always tell my customers you can’t afford quality. Million dollar home and they look at me like what. I say it dosent exist. Totally true. Although the V10 isn’t a bad vac at all it does do a good job.

      Hi I have now received a new part from Dyson. Very easy to dismantle. You will need to remove the screws attached to the main body under the transparent cylinder. Then separate the body and you will be left with the slider. The slider is attached to a couple of screws, take them off and the slider is separated from the body. Dyson generously send you the whole body, I would recommend taking the slider off the new replacement and use only the slider. Leave the rest of the body for a rainy day. Let me know if you are still struggling.

    Hi, lot of thanks for this video.....what a pleasure to disassemble such fragile plastic parts, with special price for the most fragile in daily use : I mean the dust tank. James Dyson is a rich and clever guy. However very performing cordless cleaner, but so expensive! please don't use it; or at your own risk...so delicate! The best is to admire the beast behind the glassdoor of a cabinet.
    OK, I stop the jokes. This one works perfectly. But the first problem of all these new performing cleaners is the battery : only one range of cells in serie , that explains the very short usetime with full power , too many output amps at the same time , and for this reason very short lifetime.
    2 // ranges (like for good screwdrivers) would be the minimum, but not the same weight and not the same price.

    Ugh, I'd probably break the cyclone if I attempted to disassemble it - the poor quality of modern Dyson plastics do NOT warrant such a stupidly complicated multi-cyclonic design. Hell, the DC35/44 only used 6 cyclones and that was so much easier to deal with (not to mention better build quality overall).

    Sorry I normally agree with your video posts but one thing you that, really annoyed the hell out of me. Less of the 'Malasyian Crap' talk or mention Chinese rubbish!! It has NOTHING to do with country of manufacture, it is the materials used!! Dyson has always had rubbish build quality, even when they were made in the UK. The amount of times my DC03, DC04 AND DC05 broke was unreal. You don't realise that these Far Eastern factories have some of the most talent and beat many European/American made. Where does Ford, Volkswagen etc get most of the electronics made - in the Far East, where is the damn expensive iPhone made - CHINA. So do not bash the country where it was made, its the design and materials used that prove how rubbish a Dyson is.

    • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  5 років тому

      You never notice the Huawei watch or the talk of my visit to China. I definitely agree there are some top-notch manufacturing facilities in China. They just don't get used for vacuums. Malaysia is different than China as they have no child labor laws. I definitely agree that the materials are rubbish as well that Dyson uses.

    Dyson are a pile of junk. People see their fancy adverts and claims and buy one. Dyson are ok at the beginning and then just don't work right again, even when filter is washed and they are so damn fragile!! Oh and that battery won't last that long either. Maybe 3 or 4 years and if the user uses it regularly on Max to clean a room or two then the battery gets worn out wayyyy quicker. Dyson do not say that in their adverts that it's Full Size Suction but only for like 7 minutes. But don't use it like that regularly or the battery will wear out!

    My wife wanted one of these stupid things because my daughter bought one. We have a central vac that works great, but she's too lazy to pull out a hose. Now 18 months later, with light use, the Dyson has blockage indicator and no blockage and then shuts off. Garbage!!! This will be a "I told ya so" card in my pocket for many years to come.

      You might look into getting a "Hide A hose" installed or a newer lightweight Central Vac tool set that might make all the difference in the world. Good luck to you with that Dyson

      @@PerformanceReviews I washed the filter really good even though it didn't look that dirty. She was washing the filter before that and using soap too. I can shine a light thru the hepa filter part but the light doesn't shine thru the prefilter too good. Put it back together and it actually worked! No more blockage indicator, but after a few minutes of vacuuming, the filter light came on. Filter isn't even dirty IMO. I wonder if those prefilter sections are too clogged beyond cleaning since my flashlight won't shine thru? Maybe even from her using soap clogs the pores. I heard the filters need replacing after a few cleanings. $30 a pop. What a rip! This thing actually hurts my wrist. The central vac doesn't, yet she says the central vac is too heavy. LOL Did you know that filter actually has 2 magnets on the inner end? They must activate a prox switch or something for the unit to run because it won't run with the filter off or not twisted all the way.

    What is this useless video about? The author's chatter accompanied by the torsion of screwdrivers with screws? What is finally fixed, what is replaced, what is repaired. All this chatter about cleaning the vacuum cleaner is described in the instructions. Time spent.

      No personal lubricant/erection cream incentives, that's why I watch these video tutorials in the first place.
