Thanks for sharing this J, I live in the Caribbean where there is always a lot of sun constantly and the way you broke it down, really helped me. Thank You for that🙌🏿
Great stuff Johnny! It just goes to show that if you understand lighting, you can use the natural light to your advantage with very minimal equipment. Looks really good!
I love to use bounce and diffusion when shooting outside. A lot of outdoor shoots can be remote or difficult ti access, so keeping a smaller kit is great. Nice video!
I prefer doing my simple setups with ARRI Alexa LF + Cooke Anamorphics ... but you do you :D Joking ... nice final result, but even the stands for the negs are on the pricy side (you used at least 4 in this setup).
Thank you for this video, Just in my opinion: keylight wasn't that natural because white balance looks different, also it's too front lit. And harsh sun light is the best rim light don't block it :))
hey dude, I wanna ask you about your tripod fluid head, it is a ACE XL?, if is it, is really enough for your setup? with a 70-200 Master? I think about buy one ACE XL but I never used one.

Nice video!
Agreed, thanks for watching!
Great breakdown Johnny, I plan to do videos like this on my channel. Thank you for sharing and showing properly how to do this.
Thank you!
love the breakdown!!
How do you handle longer interviews outdoors where the sun may start low, but get higher/harsher as the interview goes on? Auto-ND?

Great explanations! Love how you put this together, super helpful :)
Glad it was helpful!
Great video man
Looking great brother!
Thanks man!
Nice simple setup! What crossbar/rig did you use to hang the duvotine neg?
Thanks! We used a c-stand arm/gobo arm and two of the tripod stands to support it

All great points, thanks for your feedback!

It is an Ace XL - big fan of it! It will support much bigger setups than an FX6 with 70-200
