Congratulations to you and Chris on your new son!!! Your genuine joy and authenticity is infectious. Can't help but smile through your videos. Thank you for sharing your story and wishing you the best in parenthood!! 💘
So lovely to hear such a positive experience! I ended up needing an emergency section with my first as he was starting to show signs of distress. Sadly since the epidural, even the boosted one, wasn't working fast enough (I could feel them pinching my tummy to test if it worked) so I needed to be knocked out. In a way I didn't mind because I was exhausted at the time. Also, this meant that I have one of my favourite memories because of it. When I got to recovery, the midwife was calling my name and saying to look over to my husband and what he was holding. It was my husband that told me that we had a son, and I am crying now reliving that memory. It was amazing! I'm currently 19 weeks with our second, and after much thought, I think I'll go for an elective section this time. I'm hoping that my hubby will be able to tell me again when they are born if it's a girl or a boy. Will see when the time comes! :) For me, even though it was an emergency section after induction, I still see it as a positive experience. Thanks for sharing your story!
Amelia, what a wonderful, positive and very generous sharing of your birth experience! Warmest love and congratulations on the birth of your baby son. He has a beautiful, joyful mum, whose love for him, shines out into the world. May the 3 of you continue to thrive in your cocoon of love! (and well done, for maintaining your boundaries)! love Sue xxx
I actually teared up when you mentioned about the first time you felt the connection! This was such a lovely video, I have enjoyed hearing the giggles and noises from your son! I'm glad the section went smoothly! Also no worries about uploading, enjoy your time with your baby boy! Big love to you and Chris!! ❤❤
Absolutely loved this! Congratulations to you both! 🥹 So glad to see you’re enjoying mum life and doing well! Great to know you had a positive experience, I’m 28 weeks and although there’s still quite a way to go I was told this week that I may have to consider a c section so this has been great to hear, thank you!! Xx
Thank you so much for sharing this has helped me! Im super super worried about the numb feeling and panicking that I can’t feel my body… and fainting too! that’s the one thing I’m terrified for! You sound like you stayed really calm so I’m hoping I can do the same! xx
I was already feeling weepy today and this tipped me over (especially the part where Toby came over to check what was going on)! Loved hearing the little baby noises, seeing your raw emotion and the way you just made the camera work around what you were already doing - that made it feel like a real life catch up kind of chat. Thank you for sharing this story, it was beautiful and a real privilege to hear. I also wanted to comment on listening to your instincts and intuition - your first thought is usually the right one in any situation so keep doing that. Wishing you all of the good things 🥰
Thank you for sharing your birth story with us. So happy it was a very magical and positive experience for you. It was so heartwarming to hear his little noises..trying to speak to mommy!! Wishing you many more magical moments in the months and years to come with him!!
Thank you for sharing this, Amelia. I’m having my elective in just under 2 weeks with my second after a long and hard induction with my first. Must admit I’m bricking it but it’s so helpful to hear the various steps and processes. So lovely to hear you had such a positive experience. Hoping mine goes just as smoothly x
How did it go for you? I’m having a planned c section in a week with my second baby. My first baby was a 3 day induction that ended in forceps, being cut and having a 3rd degree tear. The healing was absolutely awful and it effected my mental health so badly that I knew next time I wanted a planned section. I hope yours went well x
Absolutely love this. This video really resonated with me and made me realise that having a quiet day just snuggling is fine. My little one is called Toby... must be all of your videos I've watched 🤭 xx
Positive birth stories are just my absolute favourite ❤ so amazing to hear everyone’s unique experiences and I’m over the moon for you that your birth was so special. You are glowing, motherhood suits you so much ❤ nobody can prepare you for it and I was definitely the same as you, not expecting to love it as much as I do. Those pictures sound absolutely insane and how incredible you’ll have that moment captured and treasure it forever ❤🥺
He was smaller than we expected so we had to go get some emergency baby grows in a smaller size 😆 we were both BIG babies so expected the same haha xax

Not letting the father stay is ridiculous.
We managed - and honestly that first night alone with my boy will be something I always remember. It’s was formative (and whizzed by!)
