I was a child when I saw the movie and fell in love with the music, maybe 7 or 8. Today I remembered to go and find the soundtrack and I cried like a baby to this song and love the whole album. I'm 36 now
this is a tribute to my father who just past away. I know the movie already from the 80th's. But now it has a totaly different meaning. It gives me courage to continue and keep on hoping, believing and dreaming.
@@reneeschnarr6260 same. My dad played this and other Neil diamond records from this era countless times throughout my childhood. His music will always keep him close to me.
Tears come to my heart and eyes. I'm 53 yrs old now. My dear dear Uncle Henry, played this album often from my birth until he passed away in 1992. It brings back many sad and Beautiful memories of him and my dear father who passed away when I was only 8. Thank you Neil Diamond for such deep Beautiful songs and music. Very treasured memories 💛♥️🖤💛♥️🖤
My dad passed away two weeks ago. Tomorrow is his funeral. This was his absolute favourite song and reflects his life to a very great extent. I wish I had half the determination he had and I will miss him dearly.
I heard this song for the first time as a 19 yr old college freshman. Man, I wept like a baby throughout the entire album. It had a very profound impact on me and made me want to be a musician which i am today. Thanks, Neil for the inspiration.
My dad took me to watch the movie when I was 7, I'm 56. Every Christmas, I ordered him a new vinyl record because after a year it became too scratched. thank you Mr Bach, Thank you Mr Neil Diamond, Thank you Father, Thank you Almighty God in me who remembers. Love always, long live the newfound freedom to fly wherever I please, in this world or on the other side of the shore.

Happiness, sadness, despair, arising from it to reach heights of emotion and resolve that I never even knew I had inside me. Jonathan Livingston Seagull ... lives inside every one of us and nobody can take that away.

Johnathan Livingston Seagull is a masterpiece. I read the book years ago, and the storyline stuck in my head. I read it again a few years later, I got to understand it. It made a lot of sense, and listening to the music, I see how it fits the story. It is a wonderful story about not giving up on what you believe

This music touches my soul like nothing else I have heard. It seems to express my very own searching within. I love the scenery and Neil Diamond. It is so inspiring . Read the book years ago and searched for the film many times....here it is again. Life is so like this ...we are ultimately alone however we learn to fly alone with God's help. Thank you Yahushua the messiah.
i read this book when i was but a boy of 14 at santa clara valley medical center, where i took rabies vaccine for giving first aid to a boy who was bit on a scout jamboree at henry coe state park. this book saved my life. to this day i count this little bird as a major reason why i became a healer and found my hands trained for healing warfare for Jesus. may your path be as inspired.
My arms started moving witnessing dear father … trying to support Jonathan to gain a little bit of height away from the dark waters … feeling the struggle and eventually the joy of overcoming the hardship of being different and pushing the self to the edge … honoring Jonathan’s dreams as well as my own … amazed by the sheer possibilities in each one of us to rise above what we were told we can do … driven by our curiosity and our sense of knowing ❤️
When i bought the OST when I was young, I didn't know what was J. L. Seagull. I didnt'know the words, nether the english language, I didn’t even know what it was about and I really didn't know why I bought it, just I liked the music. And today, actually since a few month, it suprised me, i'm in a period of awarness. I lose my old beliefs for a new vision of Live and Love. I understand know why J.L.Seagull came in my life when I was young. An incredible synchronicity made me bring it back into my life and it gave me a direction for today, for my awarness because it happened so suddenly andI was a little lost. It's just extraordinary. In these times of spiritual awakening, Peace, Love and Unity to all of the world.
