Today I decided I wanted to make a crochet t-shirt top, & the first notification I get is that you have a new video. It is just what I am looking for!! Thank You for creating this - perfect timing!
I love this pattern. It’s my next project. Only change will be to make my front and back panels the same length as that style works best for me! I love all your videos, Tiffany. Thank you for making such informative tutorials as well as bringing new ideas, yarns and projects to your channel. I live in Arlington, Tx so we are almost neighbors. Happy hooking! 🤗
Thank you for this very cute and simple pattern. You could make one in different colors and stripes or variegated yarn and it wouldn’t even look like the same sweater. Could even make longer sleeves. So versatile! ❤
That's what I was hoping for! To give people a blank canvas they could then take and run with! The options are only limited by your creative ideas. 🤗❤️🧶
I want to make this tee shirt with variegated yarn. Great job, Tiffany! Thank you not being afraid to do new stuff. 🦒By the way, the zoo in my city, Tucson, has a baby giraffe who was born on MLK Day! He's so cute! His name is Moyo because he has two distinctive heart shapes on his neck. Moyo is the Swahili word for heart. I love to learn from your videos. Thank you for taking your time to share what you learn.
You are most welcome @juneknight9586! I’m so glad you enjoy my videos. I think using a variegated yarn would be extremely pretty! And CUTE! I love giraffes. 🦒. They are one of my favorite zoo animals. 🤗
Hi, Tiffany . . . I’ve made a lot of shawls, scarves and wraps, but, have not made a t-shirt or dress, yet. You have encouraged me to at least try and I thank you for your excellent tutorial. Most likely, my top will be a tunic length garment to go over my leggings (at 75, I need all the coverage I can get). 🤣 Again, Dear One: Thank you for your kindness and patiently clear tutorial . . . I appreciate it very much. 😘❤️🌹

@@CrochetWithTiffany yeah, once I realized it, I made the switch. It's slowed me down, and sometimes when I'm doing small work my hands just naturally go that way. But I know it's better for the long run!

I am so excited for you to make this t-shirt! I love it and I think you will too. Oh! That charcoal gray sweater was actually purchased from a store. I have been curious to deconstruct it and try re-creating it in a crochet pattern though. Maybe one day soon. 🤗❤️🧶

I’m one of those people that has been crocheting for about 20 years and I make blankets Afghans blankets, Afghans and more blankets lol because I’m too afraid to spend the time and work and yarn on making some thing that really won’t fit or I won’t care about so you’ve won me over I’m going to try this one.☺️
Sweet simple sweater/tee pattern. I absolutely love the sweater you have on in the beginning of the video. Do you have that pattern available? Thanks! ☺️
Good morning Tiffany! I have always had this question, is there an easy way to know what side of a skein to pull the thread out to use from the center, and not pulling the thread from the outside of the skein?? I have a horrible time of finding the thread in the center of the skein!!! Any advice is greatly appreciated!😊❤
This is a great question! I have found that some yarns I prefer to pull from the center and other yarns I prefer to pull from the outside. After playing with a couple different skeins you just figure this out from experience. So, I have ways of working with both. If a yarn is easily pulling from the center then I will go with that. It I am having trouble finding the center then I will pull from the outside but put my yarn on a yarn holder, like a wooden spinner (amzn.to/3yaagQw) or they have the genie (amzn.to/3Lx7wQ6). I hope this helps. 🤗💖🧶
Hello Tiffany, I enjoy watching your tutorials and creating with you. Did you make the top that you are wearing in this video? And if so, what tutorial can I find it?
@@CrochetWithTiffany but I want to make the T-shirt and don't have but a little bit of the 3 weight I used on the blocks. I know I can't buy any more yarn. What should I do?
Hi @HellasGD88. Purchasing the pattern is always the best choice. To provide help and value I will be adding the charts from the pattern in my blog post releasing on my website tomorrow.
GREAT question! In the pattern there is a chart with a bust size dimension. I would suggest measuring yourself around the largest section of your torso, whether that be your bust or your belly so you can ensure the most comfortable fit. Then go with the size that will provide you with a little wiggle room so it's not too tight. 😊❤️🧶
Actually, no, most tops are generally the same length but I wanted to make sure if I had to bend to pick something up that the back of my shirt would be long enough to cover my pants. 😄
Absolutely if you would like a light feel. Size 2 weight yarn makes beautiful wearables. Because the yarn is thinner the result of the top will be smaller. If you’re ok with that then go for it! If you want the fit to be the same as what I represent you will want to add more stitches per row and more rows per panel. 😊❤️🧶
Oh Tiffany, I love this!! Thank you so much!! Just a quick question...... we could just add more rows on the sleeve if we wanted them to be longer, right??,
I did! It is more of a burgundy color which I think is really pretty but I think on the website is listed as pink and beige. The Velvet legendary pillow like you mentioned! We could be twins! 🤗❤️🧶
Hi Tiffany!! Approximately how much yarn did you use for this project??? I purchased some beautiful yarn last year and I’m not sure if I have enough for this beautiful project!! Love this top!!

There is a way you can add a collar though, with this design I don't think it would be very comfortable. You would just count the number of stitches around. Add a stitch for each join. Make a collar section separate and then join it to the hole at the top of the shirt.
Great question! I have noticed that the thicker the yarn you use the heavier and more bulky the item is. But many crocheters don't like working with yarn thinner than a size 3. So I chose to work with that. 😊❤️🧶
