Super cute pattern. Thanks so much for your clear and detailed instructions! I've always hated to make swatches, but your explanation makes it so much easier to understand and why! Will save to my library for use after i make my other 7 WIPS. LOVE your patterns, tutorials and news letters❤❤❤❤. Thanks again.
Finished this pattern in medium size. It is lovely. My first finished garment. BUT within 3 hours of wear, it went from my waist down to my hips. And the shoulder/arm area looked so weird. It stretches out every time I move! I know it is an oversized look, but it looked ridiculous. Should I have made a small size to accommodate stretching? Should I pop it in the dryer to shrink it? Help!!!!
😮😮😢and your first finished garment- Hugs +++ to you. I hope someone can help. All I can suggest is maybe you can weave some elastic or ribbon or both through the existing holes-- to raise it higher to your waist, and to also cinch the shoulders closer together- it could be a real feature piece- just needs some creative weaving 🕸️😅❤
Did you use acrylic yarn instead of cotton? If so, that's why it is stretching. Acrylic yarn stretches badly with crocheted projects. That's why it's best to use cotton if you are making anything like a garment or a bag that is going to be carrying any weight.
I also should mention that, if you used acrylic yarn, you don't want to put it in the dryer on anything hotter than low heat. Acrylic yarn is actually plastic and high heat in the dryer will melt it.
Yes absolutely! In that section of the video I discuss how to try it on and customize the back and front of the neckline for your body and preference. 😊
I love this so much! I have a question. I accidentally made my gauge swatch with a 5mm hook and 4 weight yarn 😅😂 but I’m curious if I can still use 4 weight cotton yarn and maybe go up half a hook size to 4mm for the drape? Or would you still recommend the 3.5 mm hook with 4 weight yarn? I just have this beautiful cotton yarn in my stash and hoped it could work for the pattern even though it’s not dk but if you really recommend the dk cotton yarn, I can get some. Thanks you!
This was so lovely. I hope to do this soon. The gauge swatch.. I guess we just rip all that work out once done with it right? 🤪😭 Also did you not put a border edging trim around the bottom part of the shirt? 💜🥰💜
You’ll need 5 skeins if you use the suggested 24/7 cotton DK. You can find all the pattern details here: makeanddocrew.com/crochet-tee-pattern/#tidepool-rectangle-tee-free-pattern
Love your t videos but as a visually impaired crafter I can hardly see a white book on a white background. Maybe a dark bit of paper behind our a darker book would be so helpful❤❤❤
Here’s the gauge info. All these details can be found in the written pattern, including the stitch count you need to make your size. 😊 (if you just google “make and do crew tidepool tee” my site should pop right up. 5 double crochet clusters = 4” 12 rows (6 double crochet rows + 6 chain space rows) = 4”
🧐😅that looks really lovely but can you please help TMjNP who left a comment below asking for help after her’s stretched out after 3 hours and dropped length from her waist to below her hips and lost it’s shape around the shoulders- after being worn for 3 hours 😱

@@twilightsdawningpalladino9997 i used exactly what she used. 24/7 DK cotton and the same colorway.
Lindo ❤😊😮
Would it fit right if I sewed up the back center seam a bit higher? I don’t like so much of my back showing.

I chained 238 but it’s much longer than 47 clusters? I must be missing something?
Can I make it longer instead?

Hi, where do I find the written pattern for other sizes please😊
Hi found it 😊
❤
I know a knitter who makes swatches big enough for a pocket. You could do that here, maybe.
