Tips for people. (1) as the game screams at you that you can chain craft with ctr this works for all crafting. (2.) Always tear down your previous tiered items and build the next. (3.) Solar panels work 24/7. (4.) Always deconstruct the boxes they provide benefits and stop you from checking it again. (5.) Don't wait to open boxes they are set for specific terra indexes. (6.) It's better to build an oxygen outpost than it is to craft oxygen bottles as this will allow you to explore more and survive better without taking up inventory once built.
5. Depends on the box. Storage crates in the starter areas (Central Plateau, Iridium Cave, Dune Desert, Labyrinth, Spires, and Aluminum fields) do not depend on Ti level. Chests outside these areas will have better loot the higher the Ti. I try to save these until at least lakes when you can get heat and pressure fuses from them. Then later they will have production and energy fuses you can then trade for massive early Terra Tokens to unlock the all the good blueprints.
Collect the iron, titan and silicon while walking, run out of air, build a place. Just like later game always always carry materials for teleporter.. inventory full, teleport, empty inv, deconstruct, repeat.
i don't agree with always tearing down the previous tier as you often end up with mats that aren't useful at the higher tiers. certainly some machines it makes more sense for but not always. I prefer to just keep building more most of the time. Notable exceptions are nuclear reactors, mining drills (because the higher tiers add functionality not just better terraformation returns, and the plant and tree spreaders which are better than many other recipes at re-using the previous tier mats, and the stuff that doesn't get re-used is more valuable.
@@justcallmebard its a power to product ratio situation. For example Tier 1 heater does 0.3 pK/second (0.3 pK per kW) while tier 2 does 4.5 pK/s (1.29 pK per kW). So without increasing power generation you can get a lot more heat. This is true with all the producers, plus in early game all the materials recycled can and will be reused its a no brainer
I've been playing Planet Crafter since about a month after it came out in Early Access and my save was past the terraforming completion stage when the full release came out. So I started a new save and it's a little daunting now that all the biomes are in place and there's so much to find. I'm so torn between exploring and building that I constantly find myself trying to catch up because new blueprints are popping up so fast. Being able to find multiplier rods relatively soon helps a lot; I had a lot of hours on the save I started 2 years ago before they showed up. You're really going to enjoy this; lots of little details that I won't spoil make a new start very different from starting 1-2 years ago.
I love this early game. I played quite a bit on hard mode pre 1.0, it gives you a real appreciation of your situation, the successes and also the inevitable failures you will have like previous terraformers. The number of times failing and dying (losing the save and having to start over) after hours of trying, ultimately running out of air, water or food by lack of progression or making a bad choice is a great challenge. It also makes my new 1.0 save or normal settings feel much easier; I haven't had any 'heart in mouth moments' whilst frantically trying to click on food, water or air or trying to navigate into a living compartment whilst blacking out.
Ya, I tried a few times, but after the midgame it gets annoying. I often get up and do something else for a few minutes and forget to pause, usually inside a base. Would suck to lose a whole game for this reason.
I'm so happy you have started a new series on this game, Z! Love the game and love watching you play it!! The early stages are always fun on games like this, I think 😊
I always loved starting over in this game (It's about the only one). When you start fresh, you miss all the late game stuff (like jet pack and other stuff haha). Love it!! And now with Multiplayer, its even better.
This one and Subnautica I've started over many, many times. Those are my only 2. I don't think Timberborn counts because there are so many different options for how to start a new game.
Subnautica I've done a few times as well as Subnautica: Sub Zero... After completion I use mods to make things "simpler". LIke having the evil monsters ignore you. haha.
@@ISuXGamingOfficial I did that with Below Zero for a while, but just don't go back to that game like I still do with Subnautica. I never used mods but I do sometimes use the console commands to make my character ignored by predators. I will start a new Subnautica or Planet Crafter just to relax, doesn't work that way with Below Zero.
I'd been wanting watch your Planet Crafter series but I wanted to wait until I had played. Now I'm most of the way through my first playthrough, so it's time for your 1.0 videos! Thank you for sharing, your series are a delight.
Knowing where the gold chests are and the areas where you can pick up super alloy really does speed up the early game. I did a "relaxed" play through from the start last week, this time did a very condensed factory near the end, several levels of storage and auto-crafters all build outside using foundations and stairs.
I originally wasn’t interested in this game when I watched play throughs of early access. But man, the devs did a lot of work and now I’m planning to buy it.
This is now one of my top 10 games of late. I couldn't put it down in Early Access and I can't put it down on a new save file. Now getting through the new endgame for the first time. I could push for efficiency but I'm just having so much fun designing and building my base and outposts.
dont forget there is also another golden chest inside that crater starting area. basically directly south of where you built the base. essentially there are like 4 golden chests not that far from the start and i love it. and also a nice little secret cave thats easier to get before it becomes a lake
I think this is the best game I have ever played. I started a new save for 1.0 and still haven't finished the game after playing almost daily for 2 weeks. It's nice to finally be able to watch you playing as I don't want to spoil the endgame which I think I am getting close to!
I usually "Travel" to the area I want with enough materials to plop down a quick air up base until I get to where I want to build. usually build near the waterfall now because it turns so beautiful once water starts flowing. it also has goodies inside the cave that you can get and save yourself some crafting
1) You can choose different landing places at the beginning. 2) You can use a mobile home (one room + one door) to move around. Construct it, take a breath, the deconstruct it and travel on.
I got so excited when i saw this game was on full release and so been playing it on my Legion Go, so fun on the go. So decided i had to come get caught up on you and see if you had a full release playthrough. So excited.
I love hardcore. I've ONLY played Planet Crafter (and Subnautica) on hardcore. My current playthrough (that I've won) is on Hardcore with randomised ores and maximum resource depletion. I love the survival on a harsh alien planet part of this game. It makes it so much more satisfying once you reach breathable atmosphere, drinkable water, and plentiful food. Unlike other games, the more progress you have to lose, the less likely it is for you to die, so hardcore doesn't get frustrating.
The more you terraform, the more things happen, including the rocks opening up to the waterfall. There is no big event. I just noticed it one day. Happy news is that the progression is much faster than in the past. I almost think it's too fast. I didn't have enough time to do everything properly at one stage. It's still incredibly fun, though. Enjoy!
This so wonderful to watch, it's just a good game, no bulls__t. It's just good, your point on games being too worried about some artsy stuff is very much true.
@ 13:05 built VeggieTubes @ 14:25 notes that needed plant @ 15:15 pick item(s) up from pod @ 19:43 notes that he needed place plant in VeggieTube @ 19:56 finally placing Lerma plant to make O2.
Just went back and started watching the start of the old series. You were so excited 😂 Gonna be interesting to see how fast you can progress. Now that everything is open, how long do you think you'll take to get to Drone Heaven again 😂😂
I'd love to see you build in all the main areas.. Like a main base, bio lab, genetics lab, industrial complex for bulk crafting.. Automated storage for your base, bulk storage in the factories and labs.. All sorted by an automated drone factory that can be turned on\off to increase or manage production.. 💚💚
I love this game. Bought it when it first came out and have over 800 hours playtime because it's a good stress reliever, unlike some other games. However, with the 1.0 update, I absolutely hate the three endings which are bad, worse and worst, imo. So my official ending is a middle finger to Sentinel Corp and as I stay on my planet with my pet whatsit and my drone servants, eating cookies and watching the beautiful scenery I crafted in my gorgeous base turned home. And I live happily ever after. The end. I thoroughly enjoy your playthroughs, by the way.
I actually prefer early game on this. It's cool to see different things unlock, but when you get closer to the end, too much stuff looks alike. All the living compartments are the same. Explorations of wrecks all look the same. It would be cool if you could convert a wreck into a living quarters. Repair lights and clear all of the junk, then build your storage in the rooms inside. Bare minimum, they should give you a spray paint to mark out paths through the wrecks.
Golden chests always have one golden seed in them, so whenever you find one, it's guaranteed. Also, deconstructing a golden chest gives you an aluminium and a super alloy instead of the regular iron.
Hey Z1, where you got the second golden chest, they changed it so its more smooth then the pre-release. There is some very small changes and only people who planned since beginning will notice. So look out for them. 😊
I started Playing this today after seeing your video..But unfortunately my Poor graphic card died few minutes ago..I was on the point Which the Sky was getting Slightly blue 😢 So frustrating Ps: Thanks for showing the golden crate location..❤
can not wait to see what you do this time round i think a tree grows under neather it and brake thow it and work on oxygen as it unlocks the food grower and the solar pannls work not matter the time of day and what ever the waether is
I didn’t see you deconstruct golden chest so I’m not sure you know that if you deconstruct them you get aluminum and super alloy which is nice for early game upgrades. Helpful hint!
why do I want to play every version I install after saving, or the screen goes black or it throws me from a height and I can't do anything else?? Please guide me
I am wondering is there a secret ending? What if you don't break the law while terraforming. i.e. don't read any messages not from sentinel corp and don't build the trade rocket. Would it be possible to get to the sentinel corp ending and be cleared of charges instead of being put back in prison?
I feel the exact opposite. Too many games recently lack detailed story lines. Even then, the ones with stories want you to pick up and read a bunch of notes everywhere. I miss games with epic cut scenes that progress the story with an even bigger cut scene at the end.
Not sure if anyone knows this... esp Z1 hahaha.. With the full release, you can actually pick your start location in the custom settings of starting a new game. So Z1, you could've started at the waterfall if you wanted.
22:10 "it's not a thousand because it slowed down alot"... Yeah K is a thousand. It hasn't slowed down at all: you were getting about 2 Ti a second, and you're still getting about 2Ti a second: so you're getting 10Ti every 5 seconds: eg 1.07kTi = 1070Ti... You can see the 10ths digit, i.e. the last digit of 1.07kti go up every five seconds...
If u wanted to mix things up abit and not build in the same area couldent u just have selected a different starting location? You can actually make it over those hills in the back in two ways. 1, you could do it the LGIO way and build lots of stairs, or you could spam F4 (unstuck) to get you over the hills. A jetpack is recommended for both of those ways so you don't die on impact. (or you could just eat food after you hit the ground lol)

There's no need to build power generators next to the base. They can be placed at the edges of the map and still give you power.

Only issue I saw was that backpack upgrades popped up and none were made. That tier 1 was slowing down gathering a lot.
That goes for any Personal Equipment, as soon as they popup, thats top priority, there is not a single piece of PE that unlocks that is not ASAP todo.
agreed, it does look like that sort of game. been watching u play this for a while, and wanna get a copy

We know whatcha mean Verne We KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN.
I didn’t see you deconstruct golden chest so I’m not sure you know that if you deconstruct them you get aluminum and super alloy which is nice for early game upgrades. Helpful hint!
Fresh start woot woot
You can hold in ctrl while building to chain build.
You should build your base on the ice plains or on top of lava, that’d be cool
why do I want to play every version I install after saving, or the screen goes black or it throws me from a height and I can't do anything else?? Please guide me
I love this game… ❤
Why are you not disassembling the chests that are auto-generated do those ones not give you items back when you disassemble them
Yyyyaaaayyyy! I love this game

I just finished the videos you posted a while ago before full release and wow this game in my opinion beats Subnautica by far
Only 800 views in 50 min bro you doing good gg
There is also a gold chest tight up to the cliff along the back wall of the landing site depression.
Z1 is the best youtuber

remember I think you can decon the gold chest and move it
Not move it but get 1 super alloy and 1 aluminum
More of this new save!
17:59 and you still have not put the lirma seed in the oxygen thingy.
I think I'm going to implement a campus style base on my next play through.
I am assuming that space will open up when you get to plants, because there was a huge vine growing where the opening was.
Why not get the solar panels past the aluminum area?
Wish I knew about the water right away it took me like 2 hours to move my entire base when the water started rising
Watching the last playthrough of this and it looks like EP24 and EP26 are not in the playlist.
LESSSS GOOOOOOO
if you didn't all ready know you should be able to breakdown the chests.
starting a new game is great an all, but why not try the randomized stating location?
If u wanted to mix things up abit and not build in the same area couldent u just have selected a different starting location? I watch a tips video for the early game and i´m pretty sure there was an option to move the starting location. Maybe it was just the resource locations that moved around. Also for a game this dependent on resources and crafting u kinda have to start ppl near the middle of the map or its gonna be a giant pain getting to some areas. Even with the jetpack and speed boost it still takes a while to run around to some areas.
Solar pannels do work at night or day
The introduction reminds me of the subnatica introduction
having recently completed a clean 1.0 playthrough, i think the early game unlocks come a little too easily.
tier 3 is still inside the t4 is the outside one , heat
You can craft things much faster by holding CTRL and spamming left click
Other one thank you very much
cool
Deconstruct golden chests for super alloy
How about building the entire base underwater this time? Just start building in the flat parts of the lake and build upward.
Once the water hits the living compartment, it doesn't refill your oxygen. I think the constructors stop working as well.
@@davidferguson4822 ah man that's too bad. I never got to play the game so I thought it was a good idea. Thanks for the info though
Not using the CTRL key was driving me mad!
Finally
Yay
