The hoster reveals that his father was the one that saw the fight happen, and that his father talked about it being a battle of the best defense vs the best offense he had ever seen. Winner being Miyagi, both close to death.

Johnny telling the whole story would've just made it worse for Daniel. Daniel always instigated then played the "victim" card in typical jew fashion when it came time to face the consequences. The idea that Johnny was the bully got debunked back in 2009 then again in 2015. This is 2024. Catch up.

Then later he grew up and matured in his older age and when he met Daniel he probably saw a lot of the hot head tendencies that Daniel had and related to him. He probably saw that in Johnny too which is why if he saw Johnny now he’d be proud of Johnny joining miyagi do and maturing. Yes he was being a hypocrite just because Miyagi had a dark moment in his past. Which for the record we don't know the full story regarding what happened. It doesn't change the core of Miyagi's character from the four films. Johnny agreed to do the teaching of Miyagi-Do Karate but he's been fighting against the teaching of Daniel's style. He went from saying that he would follow the teaching of Miyagi-Do to confessing to Daniel. That in reality he has no interest in it so at Johnny's core he's a Cobra Kai.

@@OminousAFK Yes, it's to do or morally think a certain way only to do the exact opposite of what you claim to live by. Let's take Johnny for example by the end of episode one Johnny agreed to have the dojo's name be Miyagi-Do he even said it himself that Mr. Miyagi's legacy should be followed. By the end of episode 5 Johnny trash-talked Miyagi's memory and said to Daniel that he had no interest Miyagi's teachings even when Johnny was at Larusso Auto. When things didn't go his way his first instinct was to quit the job he was blessed with and start up his own dealership by stealing cars from Daniel's car lot. When Daniel learned that Tory's mother died he wanted to handle the matter privately so to not make it a scene in front of everyone. Then after Tory blurts it out Johnny insisted that Tory still fight when she clearly wasn't in the right state of mind mentally to fight and could seriously hurt Sam during the match. The problem with Johnny is he goes against what he claims to follow (hypocrite), he's immature, and he doesn't know how to compromise with others.
