Well my hybrid Mopar small block was a success! My top end after 5000kms and 30 plus passes.

    Very interested to do this someday. I’m glad you mentioned the pushrod deal. I have a retrofit roller lifter 360 coming up with 72 model heads that will likely need some work in the pushrod holes

      I'm just glad I checked it over. It would have been a bad day if it started breaking push rods! I'm pulling the heads right now to clearance them push rod holes. It is amazing that there is no apparent wear on the aluminum cylinder head, but the steel push rod has a major groove wore in it. I would have thought the aluminum would be softer and wear first.

    Thanks for the update my friend its crazy that you had this video uploaded right after my comment! I have a pre-magnum roller cam block that is running J-head's that have had very extensive work done around the pushrod hole which I presume was necessary, but I don't know this for certain because I wasn't the one who did the engine. I've never ran this engine and the guy I bought it from kept the rockers so I'm not sure how close the pushrods come to anything. I wish I could share a pic with you of what someone has done to these heads. You have me wondering if what they had done was needed or not?

      When you get your rockers, just put the valve train together with the intake removed. You will be able to tell that way if the push rods interfere with the push rod holes. They will interfere on the side closest to the lifters if at all.
