Twenty-seven brutal miles on the CDT, complete with steep, rocky "trails," rain to make the hiking slippery, and elevations to take your breath away! Energizer, I know you have made thru-hiking and sailing your after-retirement "careers," but after watching today's video I can't help but think that you could have a future in real-estate sales ("This cabin would be listed as a fixer-upper"), civil-engineering ("Somebody needs to explain this bridge to me"), or observational stand-up comedy ("This is Slag-A-Melt Lake, the lower lake -- can't make this stuff up" along with your many one-liners).😉
Morning, Mike. Loved the "Bridge to Nowhere." At least you had some rocks to hop on. I loved your comments dispersed through out the video. You are so funny. Beautiful views. This whole trail has had such diverse landscapes. Remember, Mike - that which goes up must come down, and vice versa. Great video of the deer and grouse. Both seemed to be plentiful. Glad you didn't need the bear spray someone kindly left for you. Ya'll are doing so well. At least you had a cabin, with a table to eat in and no rain for making camp. Can't ask for anything better. Take care. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.
Always a Great Day for you and you Tramily.
Wonderful video! I.m doin a big catch up tonight... THANKS!!
That bridge over dryland was funny 😂😂😂
That cabin looked so nice!
Great bridge.
The Army should use the grouse for its next "woodland" camo design! 😂
Embracing the brutality... I hadn't heard that one. You do it well.💪👍 The scenery continues to not disappoint.

Why was today great Mike.? “It was great because of the opportunity to embrace the brutality” lol😂 ❤ good attitude.
Good morning
I bet you were one tired guy after all you up and downs today!! Stay safe😊
Morning Energizer! Hope you all have a fabulous new day!
Thanks 🦋❤️
The bridge!!!😂😂😂
Love the phrase “embrace the brutality” very appropriate, huh?! 🥴😉☺️
More grouse! Had never heard the CDT motto before--do the PCT and AT have their own?
Fool hens are good eating, prepared wrapped in wet paper with a quarter lb butter, 25 mins, feast👅
