Perfect! I love movie and TV stars and their writers and staff. But Kimmel, and Molly are setting the bar high for how it's done. I love their chemistry, and that they're married and raising those babies - just really stellar people and a family! 💯🤩🥰❤️
"Isn't it past your jail time?" will go down as one of the best jokes said at the Oscars of all time. (And ironically one that wasn't in that stack of 5,000.)

One more thing. I love it that Molly is protective of Jimmy. The older I get, the more important humor is to me. I hope that we all have one person who has our backs. Currently, my golden is that animal/person.
Jimmy is the greatest! That’s one reason I will be watching. Now I realized why Jimmy’s the greatest: behind a great man there’s always a great woman. And the Oscar’s goes to… both of them.
I love Jimmy Kimmel's repartee with his audience at the Oscars and the fact that he has probably interviewed just about every actor in that audience at one time or another. He has a great ability to ad lib and is quick on his feet in responding to the unexpected. I wish I could have known what he was actually thinking when Will Smith delivered the slap seen around the world - LOL! I think it was a great idea to start the show an hour earlier, because we all know it will still bump up to the 11:00PM(ET) news broadcasts no matter how many times they serenade the awards recipients and signal a brutal end to a speech many only dream of getting to deliver. I often think it is so lame to see some of the drivel they simply do not cut in order to give these award winners a decent amount of time to just have that precious moment. I will be settling in with a delicious dinner and a nice glass of wine to enjoy this perennial celebration of movies!
P.S. Jimmy Kimmel's long-running "feud" with Matt Damon has provided his viewers with hours of hilarity. The skit they did where they go to couples therapy was just priceless! I've watched it several times, and it never gets old.
Jimmy is a fearless comedian and it comes from his tenure on Comedy Central. Fine tuning it for ABC/Disney takes more effort. And yes dying is easy comedy is hard.
I’m not always a huge fan of Jimmy Kimmel or his late-night show, but I like how he has managed to make the best living possible for himself, his family, and for making his own show one of the very best on television, in Primetime, for more than two decades. Best wishes to you, Kimmel.
Jimmy Kimmel has always been our favorite. We went to LA and sat front row at his show way back in 2007 and it was so much fun. He’s gotten better and better over time and has a big heart ❤
Jimmy seems to be elegant and respectful towards “human beings” and the English language. Not vulgar and unkind ….with a creative sense of humor. Even though I am not sure that people laugh without meaning to. ❤❤❤
There are few guys in Hollywood as good a person as JK. Funny, real, kind hearted, and smart. The only person I love more in Hollywood than Jimmy, is Molly. ❤️ The dynamic duo, 2024! ☺️☺️
Mr. Koppel..... Nice seeing you Sir Jimmy Kimmel is the safest bet to Host the Oscars.... He's the modern day Billy Crystal.... In other words, just leave Kimmel alone and automatically give him try hosting gig...... He's the Guy for the job
😂make sure you tell her and your kids how much You love them Jimmy! Everyday!! I never had any of my own!! I was a fan since the very beginning! I never wanted to be a part of this you guys brought it to me!! It has to be this way
Mr Koppel when Bob Hope used to host the Oscars it was from the 1940s to the early 1960s. It was a heavily dominated White America and people were not allowed to protest much. And if they did there were severe repercussions. Today we need our actors and celebrities to speak up, they have a massive platform to help fight against many many injustices in this country. I thank the universe they are woke and open minded and speak for those without a voice.
@@I_WANT_MY_SLAW Did you watch the interview? there is months of prep-work including writing and promotional stuff like these short films, parodies, commercials leading up to that single night, which takes considerable amount of talent time unless that's extra, I would say the whole compensation should be at least a few hundred Gs
He interviewed GW Bush on his show about four years ago and at no time did he let on he was left of center, his interview was funny, fair and professional.

I love the Oscars and watch them every year BUT the show’s so long and it gets so tedious after the 2nd hour. So, 1:22 are we to expect 5 winners for each major category to congratulate each other on their amazing and incredible talent and watch a mediocre banter before the actual winner is announced? :Sigh:
Agree. The prefabricated banter is groan-worthy and I always get the impression that the award presenters who have to say it don't like it either. I appreciate great writers and love performances by great comedians - but frankly I wouldn't mind a 90-minute Oscar show that simply consists of (1) a classy, funny host, (2) good performances of Oscar-nominated songs, (3) short film clips from each nominated acting and best film category, (4) awards announced and given, (5) gracious acceptance speeches, and (6) a wonderful In Memoriam segment on film - without a distracting additional song performance done on stage at the same time (even if the performers are great). All minus the inane, pre-written banter assigned to the award presenters, insults to anyone in the audience, and anything non-Oscar related, even if I agree with what a person's saying. Activism can take place in other ways that are helpful and constructive, including personal interviews, writing Letters to the Editors of newspapers, and making films and TV shows about the subjects one is passionate about. At the Oscars, I'd like to see everyone just honor those who worked on, and appeared in, the year's films. It would be an evening about the work itself - and would save using all those bundles of Staples paper.
Perfect! I love movie and TV stars and their writers and staff. But Kimmel, and Molly are setting the bar high for how it's done. I love their chemistry, and that they're married and raising those babies - just really stellar people and a family! 💯🤩🥰❤️

Jimmy Kimmel is my favorite of all the late time hosts, second only to Johnny Carson and tied with David Letterman.

Sweet interview. He seems down to earth. And Koppel's voice is so soothing. I could listen to him on a podcast and I don't even like podcasts.
Ted Koppel a real journalist 👏! Love that Jimmy & Molly are such a great team! Jimmy is a great host✨️
Ted Koppel is totally in the tank for the Democratic Party, just like Jimmy Kimmel.
One more thing. I love it that Molly is protective of Jimmy. The older I get, the more important humor is to me. I hope that we all have one person who has our backs. Currently, my golden is that animal/person.
Golden is probably better than a lot of people in that regard. They don't fake anything.
Of course she's gonna be protective of her sugar daddy

Loads of funny comedians out there but Kimmel is an unfunny guy that shills for his political elite handlers. Much like a male version of Joy Behar.
Excellent insight
He is so sure of who he is. It's admirable.
15000 USD?? The Academy should really be ashamed of themselves to pay just 15K to host the biggest event celebrating the movies.
They should be ashamed to be paying Kimmel that much, to lower their ratings.
Agree that's insane. So what it amounts to is Jimmy paying the Academy (probably huge bucks) to host the Oscars.
It’s about $15,000 more than Super Bowl halftime performers get.
How much do you get paid to work one night? Cry me a river. He's a multi-millionaire.
Koppel only asked how much he was being paid because he expected it to be MUCH higher. I wonder how much Koppel got paid to do that interview?
