Happy Home Designer is my favorite "play for 20 minutes" chill game to play before bed. I genuinely love it almost entirely for how well it does that one specific thing, and I spent a year playing it in small chunks exactly like that.
It’s kinda funny, really. Before I graduated, most of the High School students loved Animal Crossing *at least in my school* while the Middle Schoolers likes Call of Duty, Battlefield, Assassins Creed, etc.
Well middle schoolers are trying to hard to seem cool by playing boring "mature games" by the time they are in highschool no one cares. I used to be made fun of for loving nintendo in middle school but I made most of my friends in highschool due to our shared love of Nintendo.
I think the main problem with this game is the fact it was a standalone spin-off that lost its novelty pretty quickly. Making the upcoming Happy Home Paradise an expansion to New Horizons is a stroke of genius, since you can apply the new techniques and furniture to your main island. It's certainly renewed my interest in the game.
I feel the opposite. I don't really play the main part of the game. The most hours I have in animal crossing is on Happy Home Paradise. Although I wish it was an add on to new leaf...
I took part in an architectural class back in high school, and with how mildly boring it was, it makes Happy Home Designer look like an absolute blast.
@@BF_Brix yes I do, it's MARIOMARIOBOH, I remember you commenting on a project I made and getting pretty excited because you were pretty famous there right? The comment was negative but the project was bad (I think it was a Sonic game or smth) so I didn't care lol
*Fun Fact:* _Animal Crossing_ was based on the creator's (Katsuya Eguchi) experience of loneliness in Nintendo HQ when he's leaving his friends and family to a new town.
As someone who enjoyed designing houses that my clients's actually want to live in, my only gripe with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer was that fact that you don't have your own personnel house that you can freely customize.
I used to bring animal crossing NL &HHD on my 3ds with me in Highschool to calm myself from the stress of school and I also suffer from ADHD so these games were perfect for me since the original on gamecube
Fans: we want a new animal crossing game. Nintendo: _ugh here you go._ Fans: this isn't what we wanted! Nintendo: _do you want amibo festival?_ Fans: *I'll take this instead*
As a creative person, I love designing houses so this game works very well for me if I need to kill time. I can always think of new room ideas I haven't tried before. Well worth the $20 I paid for it.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 is everything I wish Animal Crossing was. Seriously. Try it. It's amazing how your residents interact and respond to what you make. They farm items for you. They applaud and cheer you on. They even use the toilets you set up. YES, you can collect their poo and convert it into fertilizer for your crops. Also, it has a lengthy storyline that has a pretty awesome finale. More people need to try DQB2. Don't worry about the first game, the second one is where it's at.
Yeah, but this one is better. I loved mysims untill it got to the point the game literally had trouble loading up so many assets i made that it wouldnt load up any more.
I wouldn’t exactly say MySims own the concept, my dude. Don’t get me wrong I loved the series, but they both fall in the niche of cutesy chill life simulator so there are gonna be similarities.
i think it's a pretty fun sandbox game. i especially love seeing the villagers roleplay in the facilities, as well as putting my own designs up for "sale" in the Department Store.
This is the first time I've EVER heard anybody go into depth on this game and I kinda wish somebody had before because the impression I got was that you were just designing rooms forever, nothing outside, you walk into the office, teleport to the room you're designing, design it, teleport back that's it, that's the game. I might actually pick this game up after seeing what's in it now.
Back when I bought my new Nintendo 3DS I got the Happy Home Designer special addition with a cute animal crossing design and the game preinstalled. The fun part is that it cost 10€ less than the normal black version of the new nintendo 3DS. So ibasically got a cute Design, a free game and a 10€ discount. lol.
One of the dumb rules I always set for myself when designing homes for villagers is to always include a bathroom after receiving multi-room houses. There's something both funny and comforting about making sure everyone has a place to poop.
