Looks fantastic. Surprised the tip of the pick didn't darken similar to the hammer face to indicate where the harder material was forge welded in to it. Happy (late) Birthday and Merry Christmas good sir!
You can see it up close, but it's definitely not as obvious as the face of the hammer.

Yeah, that's exactly how it's been put together I believe. You can see both the head and spike have a slightly different colour to the iron. Though it's much more obvious on the head.

couldn't the tip not be forge welded harder metal, but work hardened iron? obviously in a carbon rich environment and heavy use, i think it could be a higher carbon content in the tip just from working

I used music that said it was royalty free, however only after using it did UA-cam decide to ping it as only being royalty free is SOME countries. :(
@@PJTForging you're gonna have to start doing your own music. I'm sure a hammer on an anvil makes a perfectly acceptable drum while the sander can take the place of a guitar. i bet it sounds great when put together
