I love that you honored this wonderful achievement and the 50th anniversary with this talented model build. My Father worked on the Apollo 11 program and I am also an Electrical Engineer. I Remember this event as a child. It was amazing and I was sure we’d have flying cars and robots (at home) by this time in my life. Oh well :) What’s interesting is that 7miles/sec in space is possible because there is no atmosphere and therefore resistance is minimized allowing non-aero dynamic objects to travel at such speeds. There is one tiny detail you may want to add to this model: the commander of every Apollo landing had a red stripe painted along the top of their helmet so that they could be easily identified in photographs.

Plasmo, NASA plans to return to the moon in 2024, and ultimately Mars by 2050. Great model, thanks for sharing it.
This was a small step for David but a giant leap for PLASMO plastic models :D
David, super build. The Eagle has landed. Keep them coming. Thanks.
Incredible video! I think there should be more models of spacecraft so that they are easier to come by as they are truly fascinating
I love watching your videos. You have a real artistic talent.
Amazing as usual; great build and finish, must have taken quite a considerable amount of time. Great build all over.
I finished my base with grounded charcoal. Some fine sand and a few rocks. Looked good.
Excellent job sir! Now, me being an old fart, I would plant a rectangle in front with grass from a HO railroad set. Maybe a fence? I am almost 80 so I grew up with the entire birth of space stuff. We all listened in to Sputnik, Telstar, etc. Great times to live in.
Nice!.. I saw Buzz Aldrin speak for an hour here in NZ in 2010..thanks 👍🇳🇿
