Love this build! This model is in my stash since a couple of months now. Can anybody help me with the upgrade parts? I can't get the name or producer on the video and I can't find any. Would love to get the same upgrade!
Plasmo: "I will make some minor improvements" Also Plasmo: *scribes the fuselage for each individual plank of wood and chops the roof for interior visibility* Class, as always. That rigging is some crazy stuff.
I have watched for you some time now, every time you release a new model I am just amazed at your patience, skill and attention to detail. I cannot possible achieve the standards that you attain but none the less you inspire me to better modelling and give me ideas. In my opinion you are the master modeller.
I can’t imagine joining a modeling club that includes you. My best efforts ever would look like your first models without doubt. Even back when I had the eyes and patience for such work, I couldn’t manage the detail so cleanly. I slowly acquired a taste for WWI airplanes which seem to manage to fly with all their guts hanging out in the wind so to speak, as opposed to the sleek, relatively boring early jets of my youth (I’m 71). I can practically feel the texture of the fabric wing and fuselage skin, and smell the castor oil from the engines of your model.
David I have to admit you are absolutely 100% out of your mind crazy, stunning absolutely gorgeous build. You are an incredible builder of pure works of art, pure museum quality. Congratulations!!!
“One of the first planes that could land on water… more than once”…! Admittedly, that was a hilarious introduction to start the video with. Good humor is always a good conductor. Oh yes, beautiful and very well made model plane, by the way.
" OK its time for another nightmare!" Your work is of the highest order. Perseverance and the highest skill. I think it is the best on UA-cam. A masterpiece without any competition in my view.
I have watched perhaps 100 plastic model films on UA-cam now, this is undoubtedly my favourite build. Congratulations on an extraordinary piece of model making.
It may have taken 6 months to complete but boy was the end result worth it! An absolute pleasure to watch the build video with your detailing the icing on the cake! Appreciate you taking the time and effort to film this epic build! 👍👍
Good heavens! You are one of the best on the Tube. I like to think I have some skills, but; I don't have what it takes to do a Roden kit. I bought one way back and it was one of the only ones I ever chunked in the trash. You definitely have my respect.
I’ve been watching this channel for years and this was my favorite build ever. The wings came out absolutely perfect. They look exactly like cloth covered ribs and spars. Amazing.
My hat is off to you sir. There are perhaps no more than 3 or 4 modelers on UA-camEbay that can approach your skill level. With no less than a 1/72 scale Roden kit of an extremely demanding subject, you demonstrate how the reak art comes into this hobby. I have been spellbound by your ability to tackle successfully any modification you want to make, and fine my own interest in quality work reawakened. Thanks for showing us how it's done by the best!
Beautiful work! This reminds me that the end result is only a small part of why we love modelling. The creativity, skill and patience while the hours away and without this there would be no point, thank you
Holy rigging that's a stunning result. If this is what you consider "a few minor improvements" I can only imagine that you going all out would have had the video end with it taking off from a river and shooting down 5 tiny adversaries before landing safely.
Yet another beautifully done kit ! It never amazes me as to your abilities with just a few " minor adjustments ". I have been watching you for years and it's fun to see how far you have come over time. Well done my friend !
What an amazing result!! Your skill level, patience and attention to detail are quite breathtaking! Whilst I know that I can never match this, it serves as a great motivator to be as good as I possibly can with my own models… thank you for sharing this. Absolutely brilliant!!! 🤗👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
My good man you are more than just a modeler; you are artist extraordinaire. This Roden kit is absolutely exquisite and is certainly worthy of any modeling competition and should win hands down the WW1 aviation category. You deserve a hardy bravissimo.
"Looks more like a ship than a plane" Succinctly put - why they were defined in the flying boat class and not as a seaplane. Great modelling as always.
I'm a modeler myself and pretty happy with what I do. But I coild never ever do something like this. It would drive me nuts, and I like other things more. But watching your work is such an inspiration. Truely amazing. The way you film and edit them it's relaxing and rewarding to watch. It gives me some of the same satisfaction as building myself, but without doing it. If it weren't for you showing us these things, we would miss out on all that fun. I hope to enjoy many more of your great work. Thank you so much.
What a fantastic model, a real show-stopper. This could pass for a Wingnut Wings 1/32 scale kit from photos alone. Great video, too. Enjoyed the music. Thanks for posting!
It really works great and the paint and details are excellent. I just built a 1/32 scale Bucker BU 131 German WW II bi-plane from Revell model, it was fairly easy, the only tricky part was the rigging wires, so I bought a good set of tweezers, I plan on making a model of the Zeppelin Staaken WW I heavy bomber, I see Roden models makes one and those tweezers will be handy for all the rigging.
Spectacular build! So much color and detail for the eyes to feast upon. I'm torn as to what was my favorite part, because the wood slat hull looked heavy and beautifully finished, but the elaborate rigging and eye tearing color scheme (really, what was the point in painting the tops of the wings green as if they were camouflaged when the sides looked like a circus tent?) was amazing. The engines were gorgeous and the way you built the frame to leave the inside cabin visible was superb! Just can't say enough about what a great piece of kit it turned out to be except that if the other modelers in the club give you any competition at all, it must be an exceptional bunch of craftsmen!
Just stunning, what You made out of this kit. When i saw the runners, i was like: "Oh my, that's gonna be a LOT of work". I was right. Then i saw you redo all the wooden structures, and i was going from "Definitly Art" to "MADLAD". Huge respect.
This is a consumate work of art, David. Simply stunning. You should build them for museum show cases. Honestly your work makes me very happy. I have tremors so I still build models but very slowly and they are best seen from across the room.
I absolutely loved this plane, excellent project and expertly executed, as usual. I'd like to add that your music editing is outstanding. It is tasteful, pertinent and not ostentatious. Superb.
Now you are just showing off! Lol. In all seriousness, amazing work. I'm typically a car and motorcycle guy, but I can't resist watching such craftsmanship.
David- your models are always fantastic, but this one is absolutely amazing. I like great war and interwar models, and have built a few, but nothing like this. I'd seen these kits before, but have put them off as being too complex. Thanks for showing us how you did it... it really belongs in a museum somewhere so that more people can see it.
What a superb build, David!! I also enjoyed your early remarks that this plane was on of the first seaplanes to be able to land on water more than once. 🙂
The problem is that your builds are so phenomenally great it puts me off even trying. I just don’t think I’d ever be as good. This is an astonishing good result.
Oh yes, You definitely should do more WWI stuff. It's a shame Wingnut Wings doesn't produce models no more
any more
Never thought I'd see a WT content creator in the comments of a PLASMO vid
(Yes I know you're not only WT content creator)

The fact that you make the process look so simple is testament to your phenomenal skill level.

WW1 planes are often under appreciated in the modelling world, so it’s brilliant that you’ve built this model
They are under-appreciated because they are more complex. Or maybe the ww1 is already ancient history. 😅
@@idaemonplasmo true, it was more than 100 years ago already. Planes have come a long way 😅

What a gorgeous piece!

" . . . the crew's bravery and the designer's craziness . . . " - quite right. Fantastic work - as good as it gets.
Great to see your proyects again!
Oh man, you have really built an awesome kit here. Given the very fragile nature of the kit, this is maybe one of your best builds so far.
Incredible work!!! This is the best Roden Felixstowe I've ever seen completed. Just stunning!
Well, I can’t build this model ever because it’s just going to be terrible in comparison
Quite simply a museum-standard work of art. Amazing.
It wouldn't be a Plasmo build if he didn't custom rebuild half the model from scratch. Nicely done as always, sir!!
Superb modelling.
It's unbelievable how much time and detail has gone into this model. The result is absolutely stunning! Thank you very much!
Incredible. I’m amazed you were able to capture the fine details with a camera while you built them.

Davide, you are the Rembrandt of the world of plastic models.

You have the patience of a zen master my friend. Those are not just plastic models, but rather works of art. You’re the Rembrandt of model makers.
That is utterly insane. The best flying boat model I have seen to date. Hat off to you sir.
Sie sind ein Super Modellbauer.Ihre Arbeit ist Super Klasse.!!!!Ich schaue Ihnen gerne zu!!!
Look at all of the rigging going to the tail!!! 😂 Once again, the total finished model is greater than the sum of its parts. Thank you sir.
Incredible work, especially the patience for the rigging. 👏

Beautiful job, Sir. Inspirational!! Was thinking of doing this kit myself and will now..
I have a few Roden kits and the wing and tail attachment were giving me fits, but thanks to your videos there is now hope
I'm absolutely stunned at the skills used to construct this model. Fantastic.
