Nice tune, good lesson. More of a challenge than it looks or sounds, but I'm working through it. Studying this closely. Some observations/notes after a few days work: 1. It looks like you're muting the G-string with your thumb? I can do that, but I really have to wrap my hand around the neck. Does make dropping that third finger on the C# a little easier, but it's not a grip I'm used to (or comfortable with - working on it.). All in all, it's a surprising finger stretcher (for me, anyway). 2. Dropping the first finger on the E (D-string) at the last part of the phrase helps fill it out. I think.you're doing that, now and again. 3. Likewise dropping the little finger on the upper A2 (A-string)(middle of the phrase) helps fill it out. You briefly mention that in the last variation, but I find it helps in the 'simple' variations, as well. Gonna take some time to smooth this one out, at my level. Thanks!
Your an amazing mandolin player baron, I'll try I'm not a fast learner, I wished I'd met you when I was living in Boston masscheuttes, thank you for showing me more
Love the double stops!!!
I'm adding this as my next song to learn! Thanks as always Baron!
