I don’t know man I think close games are great because they are nerve wrecking. Not saying I wouldn’t wanna see the 9ers maul the lions only cuz then we would know forsure that we are back to ourselves. Also we would know we are in the superbowl .

I mean that's pretty obvious don't ya think? Lol. He specializes in 9ers football, why would other teams care about that versus JT who does all sorts of players and teams throughout the league. I think Jonny's content is fantastic and he'd be very popular if he branched out but that would require him to do a lot more homework and work much harder because he'd need to familiarize himself with all teams in the league. I think he can do it but it's a question about whether he cares enough to try doing it, but he seems content staying in that 49ers lane.
1. I'm die hard 49ers.
2. My purpose in life isn't to make YT content. What I do for a job, I'd do if I didn't get paid for it. So, it's just not in the cards to go all in, time wise

Frankly, qbs that don’t run can always be played this way. Take away the safety blanket and bring pressure. Bend in the midfield but hold the red zone when things are condensed. Goff doesn’t worry me, but Lamar Jackson sure does.😅

Great breakdown as always. If the Niners play their normal game (no heroics needed), they should win comfortably. Btw, I tried to join JFA49 as a paid member, but never got access to the member content. Perhaps you could add to the FAQ section what should happen after you join (email with login info, etc…).

I viewed the Packers game as the NFC Championship. It will be a few times in the next decade. A lot of similarity between the scheme and head coaches. The Lions are close to comparison with the playmakers but lack of experience. The Lions defense is also worse than the Packers, I am thinking we are going to win with a wider margin in this game. The future looks like a lot of battles between these three teams in the playoffs barring injury and great coaching replacements when coordinators are hired for head coaching positions.
So use late motion to beat them I love the breakdown. Those DBs don’t react good and you can see how hands on dependent they are. Aiyuk is gonna have a big day on the outside

Regardless of how it's done Shanahan has to run the ball more, what he did against the Packers was down right criminal. And it's not like the Packers were stuffing every rushing attempt.
I feel the same. But the lion's strength is their run defense. Regardless we got to punch him in the mouth with the running game
My recollection of last game is that many of our early downs set us up for pass situations either from false starts or stuffed runs. I think if our offense got in rhythm, we'd have seen a more balance attack.
I do think it's worth noting that the most successful and important drive-- the last-- was nearly all pass. And it worked. That's how we won the game. And that was in difficult weather and extreme pressure.

@@lifelessnothing The reality is we only had 1 false start, so never were really playing behind the sticks on first down except on one drive, they only stuffed the run (2 or less yards) 5 times all game, only 2 times in the first half, I'm not counting that Jennings or Purdy sweep that seemed like the wrong playcall. It just didn't seem like we really wanted to attack on the ground at all except if it was in short yardage. And it's not like we were down multiple scores ever in that game.
Just considering the conditions, how erratic Purdy was the first three quarters, that we would have made at the very least more attempts. I get it if they were stuffing the run all day long, but they weren't even on as few attempts as we ran. We're usually a run first team

Hi Jonny huge fan of your content. I was wondering if maybe in the off-season you might be able to do a compare and contrast of our defense under Wilks vs DeMeco. I would be curious to know what the film says in the differences in philosophy. Wilks takes so much heat from our fan base, and I was wondering if a change in defensive philosophy has been cause for what appears to be a lack of aggression from our front 7. I remember how fast our defense used to play, and I wonder why we feel so slow. Or is it as simple as losses like that of Huffanga and guys like DJ Jones?
My 49ers have to play the same defense bill belichick played in the super bowl vs the rams. 5 down on the line with cover 3 coverage
BB played a lot of 6-1 fronts. That's not a thing we do, really. We've faced a number of wide-zone teams and really don't employ that same tactic

It got all sorts of weird flags from the NFL after it was out for 36 hours, I tried to have YT clip out the small section that was flagged and YT cut it to only thr first 17 seconds.
If you get pressure on Goff he quickly reverts to the QB the rams unloaded. The Niners need to win up-front on both sides of the ball. This Niner team will go as far as the defense takes them, starting against Detroit.🎈

In the regular season, when Deebo plays, the Niners are unbeatable.
When Deebo does not play, they lose.
If I was the coach, I would use Deebo as a decoy early in the game because most of the attention will be on Deebo. When the other players get hot, then I would go back to Deebo.

All the Lions problems with motion should have them very confused and out of position against our 49ers. That's either a coaching problem on their end or an intelligence problem in their back end players.
The 9rs ranked 25th against the run to the boundary, GB gashed them ( one for 50+) on the exact play you showed Gibbs repeatedly, running to the outside. Look for plenty of that. Also purdy is still a 7th round pick with limited experience, so with the lions being #2 against the rush( slowing CMC) the game is going to hinge on a young QB, and when he shows his inexperience and they lose.... WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?? Wait till he gets hit by a blitzing safety running at full speed unblocked and watch him revert to Mr irrelevant. 49rs fans can't be to comfortable with that, especially when he gets picked off a few times. He's going against a 2 time probowl selection, 7 year veteran with a Superbowl appearance, who would you rather have? And all the stats go out the window, stats don't win you games, experience and clutch performance win so this is going to be a rough game for a team that could have been beat by the lowly Packers. LOOK OUT.... Detroit just might womp on you ESPECIALLY if you think it's the same old lions and underestimate this rising young power who's going to be playing in the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP for years to come.
They didn't get washed for 50 on the same run. That was a crack-toss, the one I showed was a wide-zone. Very different plays in both offensive execution amd how the defense plays it

God, I hope they don’t get pass the Lions. That would mean another Super Bowl loss to either the Baltimore Ravens or Kansas City Mahommes. The goal shouldn’t be to get to the Super Bowl, it should be to win it.
