Jackyl is still kicking ass! • Jackyl I Stand Alone... Check out their tour dates... www.jackyl.com/ Jackyl - I Stand Alone music video filmed at a K-Mart in Marietta, GA sometime in 1992-1993.
I was at that Kmart concert and Jackyl rocked and for the short while they played the crowds were loving it! Jackyl did a few other stunts around Atlanta that year involving taking chain saws into restaurants and cutting tables... AHHHH, the gold old days and i still have my hearing! Kudos Jackyl as i still smile every time i drive by that location which is now a sears store and probably soon to be vacant. Perhaps you can buy it and turn it into a music venue and make the first album for sale yours, karma!
Seen them last night at ( The Shed ) Smokey Mountian Harley Davidson’s concert venue in Maryville TN. As usual, kicking it and tearing they place up. Another 10 on the Richter scale for Jesse & the boys..
I lived in Marietta since the mid 80s, remember this stunt at the old K Mart. Funny how decades later I would be living next to the bass player Roman and hanging with these guys. They are still the real thing, true rockers thru and thru!
Bands like this are rare, maybe half a dozen in the whole world, but a simple success formula, voice like Bon Scott, guitar work that will melt plasterboard walls in your home at the right volume and lyrics with attiude. As a boy I drove Mom crazy playing beatles tunes on her pots and pans (drum kit lol) This stuff gets inside and won't go away. Rock on!
Jackyl played a free show just like this in Columbus,Ga in 2008 in our civic center parking lot. Well they are only a hundred miles north of here in Atlanta and they come here a lot. they are a trip to hang out with.
I went to the show but arrived just as Jackyl started so I missed the openers. Jesse did sing a song with his son, during Jackyl's set that was cool. As always, Jackyl hung out after the show and shook hands/signed autographs till everyone got what they came for. Thomas Bettini (former Jackyl bass player) was at the show...it was good to see him hanging with the current band members. GO SEE THIS BAND WHEN THEY ARE IN YOUR AREA!!!
Trisha Doherty that makes two of us I'm now I'm married to a crazy ass latina chick with two GD bay bay kids and everytime I go to play my guitar she has something for me to do if I had a time machine I would go back and stay in the 90's
lucky to have met him several times. My daddy and I went to the Cherokee Survivors Rally in Cherokee NC every year and watched Jesse rock the mountains! Best times of my life! He signed my daddys brand new paint on our bike, what I would give to have it back now!
Seen them in Charlotte NC for the world record run of shows.First in Repo Records parking lot and then at Club 2000.The club show was the loudest show I've ever been at ever.Jessie stopped about 3 seconds into the show and made the sound guy crank the volume to 20,he is a sick bastard. One of my top 5 shows of all time.
I was at both of those shows. Also, at the Greenville fairgrounds on Halloween that year. I was wearing my Jackyl t shirt for 4th of July yesterday down in MB. Fucking love these guys.
Wow love it! this is when rock and roll stood for freedom and police didn't react like shitheads cause they knew this was all about having fun...not about hurting people, destroying property or attacking cops. More than anything it was anti-suit and tie guy and even that was never violent, it was about offending and being unapologetic. Also beer, girls and music thats it...to this day, thats what we stand for
Unfortunately 97.1 only plays the same few songs by the same artists over and over. No deep cuts, only the shit that has been played absolutely played to death already.
I fixed those headlights on that van in 92 at a bar in Cincy (Annies) I was a bouncer had lots of car know how and they were stuck after the show, I became good friends with Jimmy Stiff on Guitar( no longer w/them) and Chris and some of the roadies. Really miss those days hanging out at RR INN in Beechmont, Ohio...
Don't care what age you are, if you get a chance go and see Jackyl. I've seen tons of bands during my lifetime and w/o a doubt, JESSE JAMES DUPREE puts on the best show you'll ever see.
Saw them in a small ale House when they first came out they put on one hell of a show and then carved out the ceiling tiles with a chainsaws pretty f****** cool
I used to live on Mtv and I remember them playing this video exactly ONE time. FINALLY I can see it whenever I want. Thanks !!! Cop: Anyone have a permit? Mr. Hand: Why do you continue to waste my time? Jesse James: Uh, No. Jeff Spicolli: I don't know. Jesse James= Spiccoli of rock ! ( And that's a good thing. )
I was there for this one,i have known jesse for many years now.We use to rock the same shows in Atlanta back in the late 80's and early 90's.Good times we had playing places like Danny's and Charley Mcgruders....
Back in the day I loved to do random shit like this. There were/are two public parks in the area where I live and I would show up at them on random days with my Fender Bandmaster head with a Fender Bandmaster cabinet housing 2~12" Celestion Greenback's along with my faithful 1977 Fender strat, an MXR distortion pedal, and a compact 6 channel MXR equalizer. I'd set up, rip off a bunch of samples of Heavy Metal for about 15 minutes at full volume, then load up and disappear before the law would show up to shut me down. How did I know the law would show up ? I always knew if they had showed because I had friends in on the action who would park nearby and honk their horns if they saw the law coming and they'd be there after I was gone and ultimately be asked by Johnny Law where I'd gone. " I dunno ", was always their answer. I never did get confronted by " The Man " except one time while I was in the middle of breaking down. Hey, I was just a guy wanting have fun. BTW, that was back when I was 17~18 years old and just asked my old lady if we can do that thing again next weekend ( I'm now 53 ) and she said " Are you out of your fucking mind ?? ". lawl

This is a day I will never forget ! I was front row in the pink shirt w my cousin . It became a riot! Jesse is fucking awesome 🤘🏼
not really a riot. but it was a protest against Kmart.
And that's a real chainsaw
Who went to their cash bash in 93
That’s actually hilarious. Kmart refused to sell their album so they go there and put on a concert in the parking lot.
Jesse James Dupree is one of my favorite people of all time. Signed autographs and drank a beer with me at livestock in Florida
To funny I was there
Jackyl was/is a pioneer in 'screw the system' Rock n Roll. Long Live Jackyl.
Barry OBryan well there was this guy GG Allin....
Hopefully rage against the machine isn't chopped liver in that sense

Stumbled on this in 2020 - love this song. Perfect diversion from 2020.
Seen them last night at ( The Shed ) Smokey Mountian Harley Davidson’s concert venue in Maryville TN.
As usual, kicking it and tearing they place up. Another 10 on the Richter scale for Jesse & the boys..
Those were the days right there. Just saw Jackyl tonight in Daytona, my ears are still ringin'. Rock me, Roll me........

Man, I saw those guys last night at a little bar in Dayton Ohio, and it was absolutely THE BEST concert I've ever been to.
2022 Baby!!! Jackyl 4 ever!!!!❤❤
I just had the pleasure of being able to see this band perform live. By far the best concert I've ever been to!! What a show!
I miss KMART. Love JACKYL.
one of my favorite rock videos of all time! Jackyl Rules!!!
One of most underrated bands of rock and roll!!!!
I lived in Marietta since the mid 80s, remember this stunt at the old K Mart.
Funny how decades later I would be living next to the bass player Roman and hanging with these guys. They are still the real thing, true rockers thru and thru!
I worked with the lead guitarist back in 2011-12. Jimmy was down to earth and cool as hell.

“Stop Censorship, the lord will prevail” is one of my favorite lines of this video.
Pretty fitting for the times.
As is mine
I wish metal and rock bands would do this shit still. Show all the new generation of kids what real music is.
this is how you protest something!
No dude everyone knows you get mega phones and Link arms to block the road
Now, more relevant!
See this is how you protest, don't burn down your town and loot shit... ROCK!!
Steven T yeah and if this don't work then burn your town down
funny how we need this now... again.
that because us gen Xer's protest responsibly because we where the last generation raise not to be a bunch of winey ass crybabies'
This was one bad-ass band. The consummate definition of rock and roll.
Was is not in their vocabulary. They're still rocking, and have succeeded in more ways than most of us can only imagine!
they got chainsaws at kmart, baby!!!! I miss my teenage years so god damn much!
Trisha Doherty that makes two of us I'm now I'm married to a crazy ass latina chick with two GD bay bay kids and everytime I go to play my guitar she has something for me to do if I had a time machine I would go back and stay in the 90's
Just bought a new Chainsaw from Sears which is owned by Kmart on Sunday. :)
No lie. The memories
We all do sadly, but screw it I may be 35 but I sure dont act like it, nor will I ever!
@@Jarhead1313 loved bay bays kids lol...sorry about the life thing though that sucks
lucky to have met him several times. My daddy and I went to the Cherokee Survivors Rally in Cherokee NC every year and watched Jesse rock the mountains! Best times of my life! He signed my daddys brand new paint on our bike, what I would give to have it back now!
I also seen them at Cherokee Survivors Rally. Only outdoor concert that 3 days later you still couldn't hear good. They rocked that place.
I've seen Jackyl in Concert and LOVE them. I wish Jimmy was still there. :( They are amazing! HELL YES!!!
Play it Jackyl...Rocking Georgia still today!

Don't need a permit when playing on a flat deck trailer😜🤘
Underrated band
These guys embodied that heart of rock and roll.
I remember reading about this in the newspaper when this happened.in 1992. jesse is a true rock n' roll rebel.
I remember this 50 shows in 50 days tour thing!! It was awesome!!
Gotta love it!Jackyl played their hearts out...They created a die hard fan base!

Yep. Saw them in Columbus Ga. While stationed at Ft. Benning. 💯💯
kaedy Kiely is still on the air in the atl metro at 97.1 the river, Atlanta ony real classic rock station
Unfortunately 97.1 only plays the same few songs by the same artists over and over. No deep cuts, only the shit that has been played absolutely played to death already.
I had this song stuck in my head
I fixed those headlights on that van in 92 at a bar in Cincy (Annies) I was a bouncer had lots of car know how and they were stuck after the show, I became good friends with Jimmy Stiff on Guitar( no longer w/them) and Chris and some of the roadies. I live 30 minutes from 1 of the 5 music capital's in America. Branson MO. I like music!

Damn I wish they would have rocked out at a Kmart near me!!
Me too! I recall this happening, but didn't hear the song at the time. Just a news article. Social media can be great, sometimes.
