- ...And we're back!
I don't know about you, but I needed this. I just needed to get back into the streets with my camera and this massive masterpiece of a lens, known as the Canon 85mm f/1.2 RF. For those who may not know, Canon's 85mm f/1.2 is basically a cheat-code for photography.
Anyway, we're back at it, roaming around, taking pictures, and enjoying life in general. This day was unique as it was the first cloudy, overcast day that we've gone out in for quite a while. I like challenges, and a completely different type of sky makes for a great change of pace in photography.
As usually, we get out there just before sunset and stay into the night as we love to get that beautiful transition from light to dark - variety is the spice of life, and changing lighting conditions gives us an opportunity to visit areas we've been to before under new conditions!
So please, lace up your walkin' shoes, charge your batteries, make sure you didn't forget your memeory card back home, and let's go take some photos!

BTW, I appreciate you all! From our first episode till now, 33 videos later, you've helped me grow from 0 to 161 followers! I cannot express just how much this means to me 💘💘💘
One of my favorite lenses! Great job!
Thank you! Humbled by the kind words!
Cleveland is so nice, i have never seen her!
She's definitely an underrated city - but very welcoming!
Ben, you are the best your videos, your photography. I'm just speechless. Like always keep going, don't stop. I love your kind of street photography. 🔥🔥🔥
I always look forward to seeing you and your kind words, and never take them for granted. Thank you!
Liked it a lot!
Super video ! keep going :)
Great video of your walk through the city, but why are the streets so empty?
It's sort of a weird 2nd tier city phenomenon. NYC, LA, SF, Chicago - every time I've been to one of those cities it's full time energy, 24/7. Some of these smaller cities (by comparison) such as Detroit, Cleveland, etc, will often get really quiet on mid-weekday evenings. I think a lot of it has to do with the large suburban population that works within the metro areas but live outside of it's borders. Thanks for the kind words, btw!
@@benjaminlehmanphotography thanks for the explanation, I was just curious…keep up the good work!
When does the street photography begin exactly?
Amazing photos friend! Love the vibes! keep it up :D P.S maybe next video put some lofi chill beats music? I think it blends in more better then this retro theme one. But i love retro music so im not complaining but i think it would fit more well w the whole vibe of the video! But you do you!
@Magda - This is a great idea. Sometimes I am super lazy and use the same track over and over, it's time to freshen things up!
Great stuff Ben 📸 gives me some inspiration for my next city walk. Can you also show the out of camera pictures before you show your edited version ? Would be interesting to see the difference.
Chris, thank you for the kind words! I've been debating whether I should briefly show the unedited photos before transitioning to the edited versions, and comments like yours are tipping the scales for me to give it a try!
When I was starting photography I was always wondering if I did some settings on my camera wrong until I learned how to edit it Lightroom to get the same results I saw on youtube or Insta. Maybe seeing the raw pictures first would help starters see how the pictures come straight out of camera and what was actually done in post processing.
Looking forward to see your upcoming videos. Maybe you could do an editing one as well.
Hey, man, good content. I want to ask you this. Are you using go pro to record this?
GoPro Hero 8 - works wonders!
@@benjaminlehmanphotography perfect! I just bought pro 11 hero. Waiting for it. Going to be magical 👌🏿📸
Honestly the background music is a bit distracting
@julienjackson2586 Totally appreciate comments like this. It's always a balancing act to maintain a level of ambience for the "down time" moments of these videos. I will look into seeing if I can reduce this so it' blends better. Cheers!
Definitely understand. You've inspired me to go out and do the same thing. Keep putting out great content
