We had a chance to link up with our friends over at Sea Hunter to join them on their trip up to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show staging. They picked us up and the weather was perfect to show how these boats perform out on the water. We ran tough Government cut down in Miami, Haulover Inlet and Stranahan River at Port Everglades. I have a new catamaran hull form which was developed primarily fir sailing cats. However, noticed that it could also be adapted to powercats such as these.
When adapted to powercats, it manifests as a hybrid symmetrical/asymmetrical. It is symmetric above the waterline chines, while asymmetric below. So it has similarities to an asymmetrical with an open bow width of a symmetrical. It would behave like an asymmetrical in a turn, banking more than a vee. Anyone interested in learning more and taking the concept further for powercat development? Cheers

Their cat designs aren’t great. Their mono hulls handle the waves much better it seems
