    I really do wish Hollyland had included a mic jack on the transmitters however what I feel they really may have been trying to do here is make a low cost version of the Lark 150 and not really an upgraded version since the Lark 150 does have mic jacks. Great review as always, Dustin!

      Hi Gerald, there's probably some truth to that though often the distinction between model lines becomes blurred due to newer releases (like the M1) being improved in so many other ways.

    Thanks for the review; nice to see one one from a credible channel such as yours. I had this set delivered earlier in the week but haven’t had an opportunity to experiment with it yet. The price is awesome for what you get; fantastic value! I was leaning toward the DJI set specifically because I liked the option to use a lav, but even more importantly (to me) was the internal storage which would be a legit “plan B” if there were to be an interference issue or something if I was filming a wedding for friends or family. Kinda hard to do a retake at something like that. But the price was irresistible so I ordered them; adding those two features would make this set an absolute home run! Again, thanks for reviewing this; you made me feel good about my purchase.

      I think that's a fair take on essential features to add to future projects from Hollyland

    Great review, thank you guys!
    Boya also has a similar wireless microphone kit as compact as this one but seems like Hollyland has much better voice quality compared to Boya from the reviews I watched. I really like that companies started to make much compact setups than those bigger mic kits.

      I've been pretty impressed with the sound quality from Hollyland. Good quality mics for such an inexpensive product.

    You didn't mention backup audio recording within the receiver. I take it, then, that this system doesn't have that?

    • @DustinAbbottTWI
      @DustinAbbottTWI  2 роки тому

      Hi John, unfortunately there is no backup recording within the receiver.

    Just ordered the single kit for 76,- Euros including tax and shipping. Wireless mic solutions have become so cheap it's kinda mind blowing. Even for a video call setup on the desk it is almost unbeatable these days.

      That is an amazingly good price for such a useful tool.

    Thanks guys! Looks good, Now I have to decide between this and the DJI

      Just my 2 cents since I have both, the Lark M1 is a good budget option if you don't need to use actual lav mics. The DJI has many more features like the ability to use lav mics and the internal recording. So while the DJI is a far superior product it's also quite a bit more expensive!

      @@GeraldBertramPhotography Yes, I just realized the M1 does not have an input for a Lavalier. What a bad mistake if you ask me.

      Gerald does a good job of summarizing here.

    Love the review on the Lark M1. Does the transmitter fit on a Sony FDR-Ax100 handycam video camera?

      Hi Mark, I unfortunately have no experience with that camera, so I can't answer the question.

    i would like audio monitoring on the receiver

    • @DustinAbbottTWI
      @DustinAbbottTWI  2 місяці тому

      I do believe that this is possible in some other receivers from other brands. I've been using the Fulaim X-5 a lot over the past couple of years, and it does have a headphone monitoring jack on the receiver. ua-cam.com/video/IcdjaoLNv7g/v-deo.html

    Will it be a good choice for nikon d7500.
    Does this wireless mic work with android phones? Most of the reviews say it doesn't work with android or iPhone.

    • @DustinAbbottTWI
      @DustinAbbottTWI  Рік тому

      I think that is the case, as they do sell a difference system (C1) for phones.

      @@DustinAbbottTWI was just looking around since android is vast some phones it doesn't work or we have to do some work around. I mainly want it for my d7500 and go pro so M1 might be the right choice.

    Maybe they could use the USB socket of a lav. or maybe that is the reason it is there?

      Hi Dave, that is not the intention to my knowledge.

    Do the mics have the ability to record internally? Thank you.

  • @addsfour3499

    Those mics are tiny. Gotta be much easier and more comfortable than the old one with another mic attached with a cable.
