Nice work! Great channel. Last winter was the reason I purchased ASIAir Plus for this winter. I am too old (66) to be out in the cold weather longer than necessary to setup and do polar alignment!
I just discovered your channel and its amazing! Keep up the great work! You’re an inspiration to me. I hope I can get my photos to turn out like yours 😀
Another great video and final image! Hoping to image the Horsehead and Flame myself for the first time this weekend. I also need to set up and break down for every imaging session. I feel so cold imaging during our Southern California winters. Can't imagine doing the same on the east coast in objectively cold weather lol. Thanks as always for sharing, Kwasi!
Excellent amount of information .....unable to see the images on the screen...i agree with the cold weather evaluation....I'm waiting for clear skies and warmer weather
Yeah, when I was recording my screen with the APT information, I was afraid there would be some glare and that's what happened unfortunately. I'll be looking into alternative ways to do screen recordings out in the field.
This was another great video to watch. I wish you were able to get a little bit more time to actually photograph the Horsehead nebula but unfortunately there is always time required for set up and take down. Plus it must’ve taken you quite a while the bundle up the way you were to keep yourself warm.
Thanks Kyle! The Maryland winters can be brutal sometimes, and I wish I had a little bit more integration time. That's just the nature of this hobby. Sometimes things just don't go your way, but I try to take any wins that I can get, no matter how small.
MAN! I have to sit with my gear too. When it's this cold the setup is the hardest part when fingers become numb even with heated gloves. I can sit JUST inside my back door with the door open a tiny bit just to keep my wifi connection to my rigs. The cold is my biggest hurdle. Even after an imaging session you still have to touch and break down that freezing cold metal.
seems like we have similar weather ... today I was able to shoot the California Nebula ... and tomorrow clear sky is predicted as well. These nights are really the last opportunity this year for my remaining targets. I shot the Horsehead and Flame Nebulae in December 2020 - of course with much less professional equipment than yours ... but I was more than happy to take a photo of it at all :-)
I'm glad you got the opportunity to shoot the Horsehead and Flame back then! Regardless of equipment, it's the experience that counts and it's good to see you had an enjoyable time!
I'm also on the East Coast (Raleigh, NC) and I am getting frustrated with the cold and cloudy nights. Is it just me, or does it seem like the clouds only show up at night?? It is ridiculous at this point.

Much appreciated Chad! And with enough practice and patience, I'm sure you'll produce some great photos as well!
Dude. Serious dedication looking at your clothing.
Freezing? I’d have a hard shot but I have such a a hard facing those rtemos. ❤
Outstanding!👏🍻

The image you show of the entire Orion complex, did you take that image??
The Orion Molecular Cloud Complex photo wasn't done by me. I gave credit to the original photographer in the lower left corner.

Yeah the clear skies are few and far between where I am in MD. I just gotta take what I can get sometimes.
@@AstroParkAstrophotography Here in NC, the humidity is a nightmare.
Toronto, Canada and I'm getting the same thing.....Whats going on??? lol
Crazy how amazing your content is and you just don’t get noticed well.
I appreciate the sentiment Wyatt. Feel free to share my videos with anyone who might be interested.
