When I first started whittling I was using dry wood that would chip, split and was so very difficult to carve. Freshly wood is great, still full of moisture. This wood I’m using is Hazel grows in a lot of hedge rows all over the UK , it is a hard wood and grows straight a lot of people use them to make walking sticks. I asked my local nature reserve if I could have any leftovers from felling trees or tiding up they had done. Hope this helps
Looks great!! 🙌🏼
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Nice work!
Thanks!
The hardest part is finding wood that will whittle in the way you've shown here... how and where to find?!
