And now, more than ever, we are understanding the importance of human connection. We’ve had to introduce social distancing, confined ourselves to our homes and changed the way we connect with each other. And for many, it's reminded us of just how much our family and friends mean to us. We have come to understand that something of great value is now missing from our lives, and hopefully that’s something we’ll never again take for granted.

She was an old soul, the most beautiful loving soul you would ever meet. it is only now, all these years later, while watching this video that the weight and realisation of how much she had taught me, not on the life level, but on the spiritual level, she had the purest energy & she showed me how to be, like that.

Profound. I'm not a social creature, myself. I get all of this from my kids and partner, or cycle rides, in nature, poetry. We both have the same personality disorder so it's a challenge, but on the whole, we get what we need. I do feel the deep connection, when I meditate, though, with everything x

Absolutely. .. " What we see on Facebook, Twitter etc ... of others is just the surface " There's much more going on deep beneath, which is hidden. Yes, fear and Ego are the reasons.
I really liked this... even though I seriously struggle with making connections and have always felt like my own island, I think there is a safety I found within that. I believe my experiences in childhood have damaged my view of people. I am working to change this. I am realising that they're are good people out there. You have to seek them out. My Grandmother used to say ' show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are' I think there is a truth in that and if you surround yourself with good, inspirational, and honest people you will become like that yourself.

It’s been 4 months since you wrote your comment. How are you doing ? A person doesn’t have to have to be surrounded by friends to be owl . Some people are contempt to be alone. I believe it’s about the connections you make every time you have a contact with what you are surrounded. It could be a human , an animal or nature itself . How did it feel when you walked away? It is very difficult to connect when so many are gripped with fear of the pandemic. I have grown weary of electronic communication, but I guess it's better than not communicating at all. I'm sure we all be connected again when this is over.

We've suffered through a lot, we've lost loved ones from sickness and trauma, 2020 and onwards, but... we can't give in or give up, we as other humans are we all we have in this world. I agree with the lady who said that by not sharing our feelings with others we are hiding part of ourselves. But there’s the other side. it
Fat finger stopped my previous thought. The result of hiding our true feelings is that we also deprive others of insights into themselves. Sometimes the truth is difficult to hear, but it takes root, and eventually grows and blossoms into a new understanding. How else can that happen than by opening up, reaching out, taking a risk and also listening. We hold mirrors up to one another. Without this, we can never see our own truth.

Whether we like it or not, "no man is an island " - we are all social creatures and need each other to function in the world. We often struggle with very similiar things, and the other people's experience can help us to handle it. We have a lot in common and we should take advantage of that instead of fighting it.
Thanks to this movie, more and more people have a chance to understand this simple but important thing and change their attitiude towards other people. Thank you for this.

I really amazed how you got to meet all those amazing people that featured in your videos, that is so wonderful, do you travel a lot?
Hi Su - we would love to travel more but Covid has stopped everything - we were due to do a film series in India and Singapore this year but both were cancelled. For us when we have the resources we try to travel and tell universal stories, for the last 3 years we have mostly self funded all our films so it has been a challenged, more recently we feel very blessed that we have patreons all over the world that contribute a couple of dollars each and now we are slowly getting a tiny bit of revenue from UA-cam that helps so when this pandemic is over we will get back out there. Thanks for the message.

One of the messages carried through this film is that, when something is troubling us, we should have the courage to have an honest conversation about it, to express openly how we feel. This should come from a place of caring and love for the other person. And we should also to try and understand what others are going through? Maybe your friend is going through a difficult period and finding it tough to reach out? But also, not all friendships last a lifetime. Before my husband died I did not go out for several years because he needed me. Now that he’s gone I don’t go out because I’ve grown accustomed to it but also because the grief I feel, because of the loss, has taken over everything. I have 4k friends on FB and 9k on Twitter. They would never know. I don’t communicate anymore with any of those unreal people either now. I can see in this film reasons I need to start… pick myself up and maybe go somewhere. Thank you for this. All these people understanding the need for friends.

Who is the artist that paints on windows? Can anyone out there tell me? I connected with her . Someone told her that she gave nice hugs and that they felt it. She said she rather hear that now then at her own funeral.

Lovely, lovely film but I think it is very different for true introverts for whom solitude is more necessary for good mental health and quality of life, than to be closely included into or be part any community or group of friends.
Since March I have been self isolating, by myself, on my farm in Zambia. I only have face to face contact with people once every 21 days - when I go into town for shopping and business.
The rest of my interactions are restricted to phone conversations and messages.
It took a couple of months to adapt (social interaction was impossible to avoid in our small farming community) but I recently realised it feels like a massive weight has lifted from my shoulders.
I suddenly have lots more emotional - and physical energy.
I have started painting and making jewelry again (I have not done this in over 20 years) ...this is after working a 12 hour day on the farm.
I am enjoying the personalities of my pets so much more.
I am noticing the change of seasons for their beauty and not just the challenges it brings.
I love wild water and has started night swimming again - like I use to - in a natural swimminghole on my farm. I have not done this is years.
My sleeping pattern has normalised...I fall asleep and wake up at regular times, now.
The only thing that has changed is the daily dread I always felt for having to deal - face to face - with (much loved) friends & family....and associates.... has suddenly gone from my life.
I wish I could self isolate like this for the rest of my life.
I hear you! I am only semi-isolated ... I see the main farm house from my window, I don't interact much but seeing and hearing them is even too much. There are days when they go to town and I am totally alone here, just myself, the dogs and the birds and trees, that is when I am most happy and at peace. I yearn to isolate even more to go even deeper into the Bush, closer to mother earth, the moon, sun, sky and stars ... there is no loneliness in this place, in fact it is more densly populated than the world of humans, but with true beauty and utter bliss. Your story is beautiful !!! The word Samadhi comes to mind. Be Blessed x
