Far Cry 2: Diamonds, Warlords, and a Real-Life African Coup

Ubisoft's Far Cry 2 is a black sheep in the series, with fascinating writing that really captures the oppressive and brutal atmosphere of the story. In this video, I discuss how the game marries game mechanics with narrative to highlight its atmosphere. Then, I talk about the real-life inspirations behind the game's main villian and how Far Cry 2's narrative can be tied to real arms dealers in Europe and an attempted coup in Africa.

Thank you guys for watching! This project is finally done :D As I mentioned in the last description, this project has been in the works since my Firewatch video was published, so it has been a long time. Frankly, I'm totally done with Far Cry 2 for a serious while haha
