Because the south doesn’t have an ego, we don’t care about what city anyone is from. All we care about is seeing black people on top Because it’s just all black culture to us. If you tell someone from NYC that Tupac is the best rapper they’ll say it’s Nas or Jay. If you tell someone from the south that Eminem is the greatest they’ll name any black person instead.

While the west coast Los Angeles California gangsta music will take a new level for bitches and ho's, money, cars, and house. Taking advantage over northeast coast who had even dominated at all since the 80's and 90s golden era cause lack of lyrics and their record company don't fall down. But ny rapper is falling downhill. That's really sad! Bro. I'm always love for The west coast Los Angeles California gangsta rap and southern Georgia hip hop culture music all time. I'm from south Baltimore Maryland.

*A Ranking of the 4 Major Regions in Hip-hop From the Strongest Region to the Weakest:*
-*#1 the South* : No region does it better, the most creative of the 4 major regions. No region is more diverse in terms of sounds and styles than the South, no region has created more Hip-hop subgenres than the South and no region has had a longer reign than the South.
-*#2 the East Coast* : This region has always found a way to stay relevant, even at times when they aren't the top region.
-*#3 the West Coast* : The West has a noticeable lack of technically proficient rappers compared to the other regions which is a knock against that region from the perspective of stylistic diversity. They also tend to go through periodic droughts where they only have one or two rappers.
-*#4 the Midwest* : The weakest of the major regions, the only region that has never had a reign. There's never been an era when the charts were dominated by Midwest artist or by a Midwest sound. The Midwest is also the only region that has never developed any identifiable sounds that represent their region which is a major blow from a production standpoint(The South has Crunk, Trap etc.; the East Coast has Break Beat, Boom-bap etc.; the West Coast has G Funk, Gangster etc.).

      * The videos are homogenized and it’s almost impossible to find a video without a gun. U look up u see 10 year old kids on social media waving guns
      * This is the Information Age with easier access to learn something and yet this generation lacks depth in the slang they use not to mention most don’t even kno the history of rap music and they have the answers in there face. They lack the attraction and curiosity to want to look beyond what’s happening now. These cats talk like they didn’t finish 5th grade in there interviews with a cup of drugs sippin like they dnt give a shyt... looks like a “ PARODY”
      * We have never in the history of music seen as many as murders that we’ve seen in this generation! No unity promoted in the music, no sense of togetherness... get money and make the next person envy u.
      * They incriminate and snitch on they’re self in the music and interviews. They glorify killing etc... and it’s the majority of the new artists doing it at hyper-speed.

Attitude, swag and such is what created Hip Hop. It could only be born out of it's environment which shaped the people: NYC Teen Street Gang Culture, party culture and the art of talking talking shit.
Two of those things you can find anywhere on the planet but one is unique, can only be found in one place on the planet that brings it all together like a math equation.

      Okay…just don’t Think.
No stories to pass to the next generation.
Be Programmed by the Producer, Radio “Dejay” and the Label.
Give the art (soul) away for the bag. Die broke cause some Rapper had 15 minutes of Fame.
      Cool.
But, “ Boom Bap” as you call it is the FOUNDATION of the RHYTHM. It’s what James and all the Greats your technology based “ Beats
      “ copy.
      “On the ONE”
But what You SAY (give) over the Rhythm is what is relevant now and can be Timeless….
This Separates the “Rapper” from the ARTIST/ Legends….and Hip-Hop.
There is work that the Family can Use from “Rap”. No denying. (Or “hating”, as Y’all say.
But HIP-HOP was/is, a CULTURE that gave BREATH/ LIFE to our People.
My Generation has Seen this shit over and over and failed to see the GAME. but…
      What the F@@$ do I know….
      Please don’t repeat our stupidity.
      Example:
I got my Lil “Bag” with someone else’s name is on it, Right?
The Education I got , the Street I live on , Clothes I wear, the Mortgage I pay, the Car I Drive…I’m cool, right?
      Don’t be “ Gucci”.
      Be Gullah.
      We don’t own Rap.
      We DO own Hip-Hop.
      It’s not Dead….we don’t Value it.
