Myself and my daughter went to see Kimbra in NYC on Feb 16, she is 27 and I am 57. I discovered Kimbra when I heard Vows, we both fell in love with her music. I’ve been a musician for over 4o years. We both vowed that one day we will both go see her together. After many years, many highs in life and too many lows, we fulfilled that father daughter dream. When she sung this live, we both stood in silence with tears flowing down our cheeks. It was a moment that we shared that can never be replaced😢. Thank you 🙏 Kimbra, that’s how your music effects people….
I remember Settle Down was one of the first songs I heard from Kimbra when I was young and it was my favorite of hers for a long while. Over time it changed just a little to Two Way Street. I think Foolish Thinking is my new favorite though. I've never been to a concert before. I see Kimbra in 6 days at writing this.
She really doesn’t miss lol. I’ve never seen an artist be so vulnerable and at the same time so effortlessly and invitingly help their listeners do the same. You’re truly a gift, Kimbra! Thank you for choosing to stay open with us even when it may have been difficult.
This has to be THE most CHILDISH response to someone complimenting an artist, who wasn’t even engaging with you! It is also quite evidently from a bitter person who has no clue what music is and what it is capable of manifesting within a persons soul. I feel bad for YOU! Also, how does captivating equate to happiness in the OP’s comment? Damn….., people truly are in fact, so dumbed down it’s frightening to even chance raising a child today, and I thought the movie Idiocrasy was just a metaphor for what was to come of us, but no….., it’s all toooooo real!! SCARY!!
My eyes are still damp after watching the MV. I miss my Mom so much, the pain was so tangible, it hurts. Thank you for this, Kimbra. Your music is a balm to my soul. 🌑✨
Bless u both. Grief is such a many faceted baffling thing. Such a lonely thing to walk with, yet a thing that connects us all. This being human is brutal at times.
This hit me like a brick. Kimbra, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This new era has been so important to my life this far. I'm feeling the full emotional spectrum since "Save Me", which is always like a knife through my soul. Thank you, thank you. I love you.
this was one of the most beautiful and emotional clips I've seen during recent times. kimbra works with sincerity and emotion. thanks for the opportunity to see this!
There's something reminiscent of Kate Bush in the way Kimbra approaches her vocals. Very emotionally expressive, using her voice as another instrument. Wonderful stuff.
I'm starting to get the feeling this new album is gonna be one of those albums where no tracks are skipped. 😁 Either way all three songs so far have been great. You're amazing Kimbra. Hope all is well ❤
Exactly what's been on my mind. And exactly what resonates with me. Thank you Kimbra! Being a woman, and potentially venturing into motherhood is such a conflicting feeling of wanting to love your own human, but scared of scarring them or having them to just suffer in this world. I'm still on my way to process these thoughts and whether I would even consider going to motherhood. But this also reminds me of my own mom who's passed quite recently. Thank you for this song that brings comfort and company through all these thoughts.
To Kimbra if you are reading this, this video made me cry. 😢 You talked at the concert about wanting to protect a child but too much protection would stop them from learning. It’s so beautiful. One day if you have a child I’m sure you will be a great mother. Please have a wonderful day.
Woooooowwwww. I’m so floored. I can relate so much to this as a mother. I’m amazed you put words to this feeling. Is stunning and captivating and beautiful. Just wow.
My God!!!, could you be any better!!! Amazing!!! Bravo!!! Everything is spot on. Evoke emotion and awaken my spirit! Kimbra, you are what every singer should aspire to be. Thank you
Such a beautiful love letter for the future love of your life. Kimbra has the most amazing ability to channel to the furthest depths of the human spirit to touch and share experiences and connect us through the power of music.
I just came across "Somebody That I Used To Know" again in IG and I wondered if Kimbra was still releasing music. I remember listening to "Settle Down" and "Cameo Lover" and I searched for her again. Glad to hear this ^^
Oh wow! Sitting here moments after being bewitched by this beautiful song when my brain was sparking tingles through my head and tears were forming at the depth of the emotion it evoked. To be moved like this on first hearing is testament to a truly great song. 👏👏👏
My God, this one hit hard!!! Obsessed with this new layer of your art you're letting the world have access to; everything so beautifully done and well thought of... can't wait to dive deep into the whole album!!! ❤❤❤
Que obra-prima. É de uma lindeza sem tamanho esse clipe, meu coração desabou... obrigado por mais uma perfeição em forma de música, Kimbra. Mal posso esperar para escutar o novo álbum inteirinho.
Incredible song and beautiful video. I just love Kimbra. She could have gone in a poppy direction after the success of Settle Down and Somebody That I Used to Know, but she explored her own artistry and stayed true to herself instead. I love each of her albums so much (probably Golden Echo the most, but this upcoming one may eclipse that!).
Essa nova versão da Kimbra faz a gente pensar que a versão anterior era infantil, mesmo que muito boa, perto do amadurecimento artístico que ela teve nesse atual álbum. Ansioso para as próximas músicas e clipes. ❤️
So beautiful and haunting. Your lyrics have always been powerful storytellers for me, and this music video is definitely a testament to that. If I'm able to have my own kids one day, I can't wait to introduce them to your music.
Uma pedrada no meu coração. Kimbra, apesar da caminhada ser individual, estamos todos juntos nessa nova era! Meu coração transbordou através dessa música, muito muito muito obrigado ❤️
I ONLY trust Kimbra who is not a mother yet to flesh out the emotional depths of motherhood with her words and sounds. You can tell from her performances and work from the start.
I first heard this and was like "oh it's a new Kimbra track it's gonna be great" and was like mm cool yeah this is pretty good. Then it came on Autoplay just now and I was like "WHAT IS THIS INCREDIBLE PERFECT SONG." Amazing how our expectations can betray greatness. What a marvel of a track
thats exactly what just happened to me. I'd added it to a playlist when it came out, but only today did I hear it properly with headphones and realise what it was about and what an incredibly put together piece of music this is. I'm actually stunned.
It is so beautiful this song! Every word… every note and every lyric accompanied by this masterpiece of a music video is just….. perfection… thank you for this beautiful depiction of being a mother and motherly love ✨✨
Aw, geez, c'mon, too sweet, too beautiful-- very well done, touching, moving. A very beautiful "Kimbra child" you found. But, but, K, I want something upbeat. Reality and true cautionary tales are hard right now.

I get it. I just got it. I am here after starting to watch Suzie Collier's chat with Kimbra ua-cam.com/video/QM0VZCFqA_4/v-deo.html.
From wanting to settle down to singing to her future child, we are all growing up together aren't we?
Да.
yessss the feels lol

@@-VoDkAsVengeance- how it was?
So, Im not the only one ❤
I love how "texturized" her musics are. The subtle distortion on vocals, the beats and other details. It sound soo good on headphones.
Yeah! It’s so incredible on headphones! And I you’re right on about the production. This is stunning.
Ooo, fantastic word choice.
I just heard/watched this and was going to say the exact same thing
Well said!
Ikr!
The lyrics to this song are so profound and well thought out. I'm glad she never stopped making music because she obviously has so much talent!
She really doesn’t miss lol. I’ve never seen an artist be so vulnerable and at the same time so effortlessly and invitingly help their listeners do the same. You’re truly a gift, Kimbra! Thank you for choosing to stay open with us even when it may have been difficult.

It's very raw and beautiful
Add to that, everytime I watch her videos I fall in love a little. Such a beautiful dynamic talent.
