Welcome legends, to Africa. I'm 50 years old, have a custom made Mini-Mal surfboard. I have lived less than 60 minutes away from J-bay all my life and have never paddled out at Super-tubes on it. I suddenly feel inspired. Thank you for the awesome surfing content, as always. ;)

Epic indeed. Feeling pretty small with my daily 1-2 hour surfs as I watch these legends travel 75 hours to surf 9 hours in a day and cover 26 miles over ground in far away lands. Well done lads! 💪

Namibia is definitely a spooky and fascinating place. Not sure exactly where these fellas went-but they are surfing on what used to be known as “the Skeleton Coast”! You can imagine how much shipping traffic had to sail these waters, rounding the Cape. Before the Suez Canal opened in 1869, all ships coming from Asia or Australia to Europe sailed up this coast. And the poor souls who got shipwrecked there could walk for 100s of miles and not find a single ounce of fresh water. Only the dunes of the Kalahari. That’s where the name comes from. If you go to more remote areas of the coast, you can still find the rusted out hulls of old freighters or tankers that got beached! Eerie. The threat of a Great White attacking me would freak me out too with all the seals! The ones that hunt off the coast of South Africa are absolute monsters.
Mr Leonard surfed, wind sailed, foiled, and wind foiled all while Nate surfed one wave 😂🤙great seeing you guys team up for some epicness! Another great video shot by the Z!

The TLC channel just had a Bruce Brown movie marathon. All of Bruce's old films over two weeks. Endless Summer. That one part driving up the coast of West Africa.. They were almost there,,,
Love the variety of footage = GoPro mouth, drone, etc. Dreaming of getting any surf at the moment and on viewing full screen felt like I was party to the action. Great edit....and better than any movies I've seen in the last 5+ years!
@@NathanFlorence I understand the paddle purist perspective, but a kite opens up so many opportunities. Watch some of Keahi's old Cabrinha videos, if you haven't seen them. Of course Kai is great at it too, but I don't think we get to see him kiting all that much.
Also, we just went to Hansens surf shop in Encinitas and picked up some of your apparel. Probably the most comfortable hat I’ve ever worn. Keep it coming.

I'll give NF a lot of credit for being a charming host. He's maybe got a little Steve Rinella in him. And I don't mind the commercialism, it's maybe like Howard Stern saying "I love Long Island Ice tea. Can I tell you how much a truly love Long Island Ice Tea. Long Island Ice Tea is great." and then moving on. I hope NF can keep it feeling real; I watch more of the locations, paddle outs, and travel scenes than the surfing. 31:00 Highly recommended
