so, do the FA engines not suffer from the same failure? Are the FA20DIT TGV designed differently, w/o the cover?

Correct, the FA motors utilize a different housing. We have not seen this same failure point on that style TGV housing.

We do! Our Stainless Steel version is nearing release and a Titanium version will be coming this fall.
